I'm 71 with particular music getting many of us through the 60s and the military during Vietnam. I'm an Army Vet (1971 -- 1974) and can say this young lady, her music & style, gives many of us from that time -- who enjoyed real music -- a reason to cheer and, yes, tear up when she performs. She is indeed like some of the greats, BUT, is her own musician. This young lady owns it! Thank you, Courtney.

Because...: 1. She is very young and not so long on stage 2. The music does not appeal to everybody, it's quite far away from mainstream (Janis Joplin never was) 3. She has not much original material, with covers it's difficult to get into the top 10 4. Her really good stage performance is difficult to appreciate on radio IMHO she does very well what she does and she doesn't need to be a superstar (whatever that means). She will have a successful singing career.

Calvin Klein was supplying her outfits. However for these covers the suits are said to be from ' Pretty Little Thing ' and Courtney bought them herself for Christmas. Calvin Klein would be wise to continue to retain her as she will be a big superstar soon. I think its good for Courtney to try out a number of styles, and I would recommend staying away from the typical outfits. She seems to do that for every performance, large or small. She is amazing. I don't care what type of music is your normal favourite, if you can stay still and uninvolved during these performances your soul is dead.
When you look at the guys playing. You see that they are enjoying, they have big smiles on their faces. They see and hear they have something unique in front of them.

Calvin Klein was supplying her outfits. However for these covers the suits are said to be from ' Pretty Little Thing ' and Courtney bought them herself for Christmas. Calvin Klein would be wise to continue to retain her as she will be a big superstar soon. I think its good for Courtney to try out a number of styles, and I would recommend staying away from the typical outfits.
