Courtney said in her interview she wanted to make sure when she releases her music people know it's her voice. There is no mistaking this talent or her voice every time she sings. She is one in a million!
Each song she has been covering is so different then the last because she is showing us her flexibility and dynamic range. She is not a one trick pony. She has lots of surprises up her sleeve. You can tell how hard she has been working on her vocal craft. At 15 she can already out sing most full grown adults that have been in the industry for years. Look out for this young artist. She is not going to be your run of the mill pop singer. Courtney Hadwin is going to be a ROCK STAR!

For her to be 13,14,15 how ever old she is, her vocal range is freakin crazy. How she starts off soft and shallow and then throws some Joplin in there and then back to soft is just amazing. She takes these covers and makes them her own. Awesome job and keep it up! And I need to add the two guys putting that music together really adds to it. No need for some big band. Those two awesome musicians and her voice is just incredible

I'm seeing several recommendations from folks about what songs and singers Courtney should cover; Hearing her "Courtney-ize" our favorite songs is a very appealing thought. For a while I had my own list of songs that I would like to have her sing but I've dropped that way of thinking. Instead I'm really enjoying watching her select songs that fit her vision of who she is and surprising me with what she comes up with. I never would have suggested any of the three recent video songs (and didn't even know about them) and I have loved them all. Better than I could have done for her. As she offers these new covers to us we seem to be getting a glimpse of what being Courtney is , is becoming and maybe what she might be in the future---what her influences are. By leaving it up to her, she seems to me to be staying authentic and unique which is what most of us want from her. In the same way, I'm happy to just wait for her to create her new album without my input and present me with a wonderful gift.

Album early next year would be a very good thing especially if she does a little tour, concert,/ (TV, series of videos, open for some big name) prior to album release, to give the album a boost but dropping by the end of this year would be great . . But only If it's not rushed and has several solid originals. I'm thinking that she has enough big talent and enough people know of her now to make either scenario work. The question for me is always, if people can't see her take over the stage like she does, will just hearing her be enough for folks? And what kind of band will be backing her up (I didn't care much for those AGT musicians).
@@nicholasl7926 Good question and concerns. But someone said albums aren't the money makers they use to be anymore. The concerts are the big thing today. I'm hoping to get her songs with a video too. Best of both worlds. And if the songs are a hit, she'll be on talk shows performing. If that happens everyone will get to know her voice well enough to know who it is on the radio. I really believe TV appearances are where it's at for anyone these days. Maybe that's why all the AGT kids get so many hits when the show is on.

I've watched every Courtney performance I could find, many hundreds of times. What always gets me, beyond her voice and her performance skills, is that she never - never - mails it in. It's as if every performance she treats it as if it's her last and only
WOW, great comment! Also my impression. In French, we say that a singer has a great "emotional intelligence". By that, we mean that a person really understand what he/she sings and appropriately interprets the words. That is Courtney since she was 9 or 10. Clearly above the average, here !
When you hear a song from Courtney you know it's her right away. That is the Hallmark of a great singer. I was so inspired by her voice that I created and posted some remixes of a few of her songs on my channel. People will always try to compare her with other artists but she is an amazing original talent. She only continues to get better and better.

Couldn't have said it any better. Courtney is simply the best both as an artist and a person. I have a hard time trying to come up with another performer in my lifetime that has the vocal purity and range, the trend setting creativity and just the dedication and basic human decency that Courtney has.

WOW, great comment! Also my impression. In French, we say that a singer has a great "emotional intelligence". By that, we mean that a person really understand what he/she sings and appropriately interprets the words. That is Courtney since she was 9 or 10. Clearly above the average, here !

I've heard a lot of people cover this song and have to say none of them touch me as much as the way Courtney sings it. Catch myself crying everytime.
When you hear a song from Courtney you know it's her right away. That is the Hallmark of a great singer. I was so inspired by her voice that I created and posted some remixes of a few of her songs on my channel. People will always try to compare her with other artists but she is an amazing original talent. She only continues to get better and better.

Couldn't have said it any better. Courtney is simply the best both as an artist and a person. I have a hard time trying to come up with another performer in my lifetime that has the vocal purity and range, the trend setting creativity and just the dedication and basic human decency that Courtney has.
