double baked! always! In grade 4 I brought double baked potatoes to my class for my birthday instead of cupcakes... I was not very popular... but still DOUBLE BAKED! (also goat cheese)
Being a vegetarian the potato is one of my go tos for meals. Love to see the variations put out here, ones that can be vegged up made delicious! Thanks, guys!
Cooking for a potluck dinner party with vegetarians and one vegan, I made roasted garlic and sun dried tomato twice baked potatoes. You just "poach" garlic cloves in olive oil until softened and browned, lighten the mash with veggie broth with some of the poaching oil and sun dried tomato packing oil, add chopped sun dried tomato/mashed garlic, refill hollowed potato halves, and broil until a bit browned. When cooking for vegetarians, I hate when it is an after thought or seeing people stand around just eating carrot and celery sticks off a veggie platter.
"But still baked. And a potato." Had me in stitches 😂😂😂 GUYS. Take it up a notch, with THREE CHRISTMAS DINNERS compared! Prepared in 2 hours 4 hours and 8 hours 😂 Long way to Christmas, long time to prepare 😂
This channel is one of my favourites and deffo my go-to for binging on RUclips. I would love to see a special edition Ultimate Battle over a few episodes where the normals do a Come Dine With Me inspired evening each. They all host a dinner party each for all 5 of you, each night could be a video each. There could be a theme or just “best dinner party” and brownie points could be awarded for best food, best hosting/presentation and best entertainment. Would love to see a cross over of two of my favourite things! And plenty of opportunities for curve balls 😅
To be fair, I dont know if these are ads or a partnership with Kenwood. All I know is I dont care. These videos are so well done! And if they are an ad you fellas are doing it right. Thank you!
James is the most comforting thing about any video. He is like the best big bro you could have. I imagine he gives everyone a big hug every morning, just to make sure that everyone's day is great.
Kenwood is really clever to make a collaboration with SORTED. They are fun and really popular and make some sinfully delicious food. Kenwood on the other hand makes great products so it's really a win-win-situation for all parties. Keep it up you guys! :) I've got one question tho: Is it really that safe to put a raw egg yolk in the potato mash? I mean it might be hot but is it hot enough to eliminate the risk of getting a salmonella infection though? Just wondering.
Just realized how grateful I am that you guys don't go through the whole standard before we start the video praise the sponsor speech. You just make their products look fantastic and functional. Normally I'm put completely off the product (and skip past it), but I would actually consider a Kenwood product.
So I’m guessing that mike wasn’t a fan of the tuna mayo given that it contains two of his arch nemeses: celery and fish. Mike fights the evil celery would be a movie I’d pay money to watch
So pretty new to sorted, about 2 weeks in and I’ve burned through most of the battles and challenges so far because they’re sooooo goood!!! Just wanted to say I love love love the way you guys did this video!! Sponsored videos tend to get a little “infomercial”-esque but this was so subtle but still pronounced enough that I could tell it was an ad but still made me genuinely interested and impressed in the product rather than put off! You guys worked it in beautifully to your natural flow!!
I love seeing Ben and James work together. I love love to see more of their recipes / cooking. (Edit) the whole point of a jacket potato, IMHO, is the crispy skin. The 3rd potato dish is my pick.
I love the amount of admiration and respect for every single ingredient. A true chef loves every ingredient and experiments with every dish. That was some of the most amazing love i have ever seen. I would love to learn from them

I'm ok with the potato/tuna combo - but i've always hates tuna mayo/mornay type dishes. My mum makes "fish cakes" with mash/tuna/celery/parsley and curry pasta and they are tasty.
I just recently discovered your channel, and have been bingeing on years of Storted videos. The best thing about this channel is your chemistry as friends. Your recipes are excellent, but lets face it, excellent recipes are everywhere. What makes this food channel exceptional is how you all relate. It shows just how food brings people together. I would love some more personal videos that explain how you all became friends, and how much food and drink has shaped your relationships. Please?
Always been a fan of baked potatoes and I was introduced to tuna-mayo and cheddar in/on baked potatoes when visiting Scotland almost 10 years ago and fell in love. I’d never heard of it here in Denmark before, but I love it now.
When they say that they're making Mayo out of mayo I keep thinking of the Dave the Barbarian meme how he makes a megaphone using a squirrel a piece of string and a megaphone it's just the first thing that popped into my mind
I really appreciated this episode because all 3 recipes are easily accessible, both ingredient-wise and cost-wise. I'd love to see a series of contests to make the most inexpensive, tastiest dishes.
You guys are just awesome. Also I am certain that the reason my mate recommended a Kenwood multi food processor to me is because of you, since he also is a fan of yours. Altogether happy, both with channels content and the food processor.
How does James make putting oil on potatoes seem sexy!? Edit: I am not a fan of potatoes (especially baked) but if you put enough bacon and cheese on them 😚😄

Very nice thanks guys. Loved all 3 recipes. Little hint on the twice baked scoop out the lids and throw a bit of filling on it. They come out extra crispy because they are small.
Props to you lot for the vegan, and vegetarian options you include in these challenges. I applaud you for presenting them as options without any pretense or bias.
I wish other RUclipsrs would take notes from these guys on advertisements or sponsored content. It's always organic, clearly stated yet doesn't feel rammed down our throats and makes perfect sense within the context of the channel itself. Also, question; do anybody know why they call James Scottish but he has an prominent English accent?
You could say the same about gordon Ramsay. At a guess he was born in scotland but moved down to england when he was young. Or his parents are scottish and live in england.
Found your channel recently and benched it like i haven't with any series in quite a while. Just made some food using some things i learned (no recipe though) and it was so much better than anything i am used to cooking. And all that from being entertained! Big thumps up! PS: as someone else mentioned: I need more "Pass it on" :)
Hi, Lovely recipes..I love your channel!!!!...Here is a SUGGESTION for you...Could you review some pans and pots for healthy cooking durability and price ranges...Keep up the good work.:)
There used to be a baked potato shop in St Andrews that I used to visit, had a massive board of possible fillings, and you could get one filled 50/50 with the toppings of your choice. My favourite was haggis and macaroni-cheese. Real heaven, used to get it and head down to the beach to eat it. Still my favourite topping to this day even if it is "double carb-ing " it.
When I prepare twice baked potatoes, which is frequently, I always cut them in half lengthwise. I much prefer your method, they look cute with the little hat. Sweet potatoes with refried beans, I'm not so sure. If I feel adventurous I'll give it a try. Love these videos, keep them coming.
My favourite kind if baked potato is VERY similar to that last one, but with the egg white mixed in to the filling and a cavity left right in the centre for the egg yolk. You need to let the filling cool a bit before reassembly so the yolk is warmed but still runny when you serve it. It's really technical and time intensive but it's so good. The runny yolk makes for a nice surprise for a guest 😇
The sweet potato looks incredible! The best baked potato = brine in salted water; bake 45 minutes at 450°F. Take out, brush with oil, bake 10 more minutes. Inside is super fluffy, outside is crisp and seasoned. Try it!
Just a second...you’re not soaking it, just using it to get the salt to stick. I make my brine really salt heavy - just a bit thinner than a paste, and kind of rub the salt on so it sticks. After the 45 minute bake, they’re white. If you feel like there’s too much salt then, you can flake some off.
Iv`e had a really shit day. And been very sad. Coming home to see this has cheered me up massivly. Thanks lads for always putting a smile on my face. Who don`t love baked potatoes :)?
I think Ben related it best to a Sunday roast. It's something which *will* take the time but makes up in taste and the fact you'll only make it once a week max.
I'm a super super fussy eater and I've been waiting for you guys to post a recipe i want to try without changing. i think that 2hr potato just hit the spot. I need it.
Seriously guys, thanks for including vegetarian dishes in this types of videos. I love you so much. I will try the sweet potato one but a vegan version 😍
I've never once thought of putting tuna on a baked potato but now I'm intrigued. Also that Sweet Potato one would be next level with Chorizo sprinkled on top I bet.
Somebody below said this but I don’t know if you’ll see it so credit to them. Do a molecular gastronomy battle. Curveball could be they aren’t allowed to taste anything

I do the thing James said at the end! Microwave, cut in half, oven to crisp, scoop out the middle, mash, top with cheese and put it back in. Best way to do it!
Had I not recently read the non-Americanized illustrated editions of Harry Potter that I got for Christmas, I would have no idea what you were talking about. I've been consuming British television and literature for nearly 30 years from across the pond, and I never knew that y'all called it "revising" instead of "studying."

I don’t think I would have ever thought to put tuna in a baked potato.. GENIUS.

It's all about the toppings...
Ben and James's potato is something I would order if I was eating out somewhere so I would say that's the winner in my eyes.
