  • Over 150 years on, the Siege of Delhi still stands out as one of the key battles of the Indian Mutiny. Initially captured by rebel soldiers, the story of its siege and recapture by British, Indian and Gurkha troops is one of fortitude and heroism. Gurkha soldiers of the Sirmoor Battalion would fight side-by-side with the British 60th Rifles and the Indian Corps of Guides for long months in the summer of 1857. The Gurkhas actions at Delhi helped cement their early reputation for bravery.

I like the term Indian Mutiny.
It was the Bengal sepoys who mutinied. Very impressive presentation. I was privileged to ready a reproduced copy of Major Reid's diary belonging to a former officer of the 2nd King Edward VII's Gurkha rifles.

The British take pride in calling it a mutiny but every British Tom, Dick and Harry who got appointment in India during the colonial period was a looter. The main aim was to exploit India as much as possible to enrich Britain.
Everyone who came to colonial India from Britain was a looter worse than a wild animal.

It's hard to imagine how your opinion on terminology could be more offensive. It wasn't a pay dispute

LIVING BEING IS OUR RACE, MANKIND IS OUR RELIGION, HINDU,MUSLIM,SIKH,CHRISTAIN, THERE IS NO SEPARATE RELIGION
ALMIGHTY GOD KABIR is the father of all souls that JESUS, MOHAMMAD, GURU NANAK, VEDH was telling in BIBLE, QURAN, GURU GRANTHA SAHEB
.. In OLD Orthodox Jewish Bible KABIR is mentioned...KABIR means (GREAT or MIGHTY GOD) in hebrew...but when translated in different languages translator removed KABIR word
Quran written in arabic has also KABIR word....KABIR means THE GREAT in arabic.
In vedh also KABIR is mentioned....
GURU NANAK himself described that LORD KABIR is his Guru and Lord KABIR met him..and in GURU GRANTHA SAHEB Guru Nanak called Lord kabir as kartar (GOD)

It's not Poonjub. It must be pronounced "Pun" as in "Bun" and "Jaab" as in na "Wab" (Nawab) and also, Sutlej - that word should be pronounced as "Sut" as in "Hut" and rest of that is how it is pronounced in this video.
