    Hey just an idea, it looks like your sewing machine likes to fight with you while sewing 💔
    Get a silicone- nonstick mat for cooking and place it under, I think that'll really help!
    Not that you asked, don't mind me trying to be helpful 🙈

    • @Mindfulmae

      I love that idea! That’s so helpful! My machine does like to move away from me while I’m sewing 😅 probably because it’s made of plastic. Thank you Emily!

    Its so pretty ! I wanted to try to make a skirt like this for so long 😮 i was wondering if you had any idea how to adjust the measurements if i wanted to make it in 5 panels instead of 3, for the height i just have to divide it by five but for the length of each panel, how could i proceed so that it "enlarges" smoothly ? 🤔

    • @Mindfulmae
      @Mindfulmae  Месяц назад +1

      Such a good question! Yes, you would divide your desired length by 5 tiers in height, then in width I would probably increase each tier to be .5 or .75 larger than the previous. So if tier one is 60", tier 2 is 90"-105" and so on. I doubled my widths, but you could half it or 3/4 it. Hope that makes sense!

    Is it okay to make the circles in halves? Like to make the most of the fabric i have i would like to cut each tier half half and then sew to make the circle. Sorry if i didnt explain myself well, english is not my first language. Thank you for the tutorial!

    • @Mindfulmae
      @Mindfulmae  4 месяца назад +1

      Absolutely! If I understand right, you need to sew some shorter rectangles together to get the correct width for each tier? You can totally do that!

    Hi! Im in love with the way you made the skirt! I have about the same measurements as you but the fabric I have doesn’t cover even half the width needed for the last tier. Even if I get extra fabric (45 in width each) I barely make it! Any advice would be helpful!🥺🥺🥺

      @Mindfulmae  2 месяца назад

      @@Butterfly_Princess264 hi! I’m not sure I fully understand. You’re able to get more fabric, but it’s still not enough? :) I know 240” is a lot 😅

    • @Butterfly_Princess264
      @Butterfly_Princess264 2 месяца назад

      @@Mindfulmae Yeah that's pretty much it. It's about four yards in length but 45 inches in width. With two, it would only be 84-90 inches combined. I really want it to be flowy but do you think I might have to cut the measurments in half?

    • @Mindfulmae
      @Mindfulmae  2 месяца назад +1

      @@Butterfly_Princess264 I think that’s your best bet to cut the amount in half. It would still be cute not as flowy! Sometimes I wish mine was less puffy. I love the look of a tiered skirt that sits a little closer to the body 🤗

    Can I use my widest hip/butt measurement instead of my waist? A common problem with skirts and dresses for me is that the waist fits, but the skirt looks oddly fitted at my butt. Thanks! 😊

    • @Mindfulmae
      @Mindfulmae  4 месяца назад

      I think you could! It would just be more fabric to gather when inserting the elastic, but it makes for a fuller looking skirt, which is lovely!
