@@altoclef4989 Omigosh I'd never thought of my youtube name as goth before! Haha, it's just an overdramatic version of my first ever D&D character name. But thank you, it's kind of fun to be perceived as goth :) I do occasionally "dress goth" but it always feels performative when I do, but I certainly like the sound of the genre.
Now I'm just thinking how Alfhildr the character would react to being called goth, haha. I mean she was a somewhat edgy chaotic neutral half-elf druid and she did try to feed a supposed ally to giant spiders once, but he was racist towards elves, so can you really blame her? Lol :)

Otherwise, Psalms 40:2, Craters of the Moon, See America Right, The Diaz Brothers, Werewolf Gimmick, Amy aka. Spent Gladiator 1, and so on...that sort of thing? I would be okay with that.

No one knows where the lone wolf sleeps
No one sees the hidden treasure in the castle keep (no, no no no)
No one learns the secret name
No one burns in the Absinthe flame (no, no no no)
    No one broke D B Cooper's fall
No one hopes to hear the bag man call (no, no no no)
Children piping in the main square
But no one's dancing, no one's dancing down there (no, no no no.)
The river goes where the water flows
But no one knows when the Batcave closed
The river goes where the water flows
But no one knows when the Batcave closed
No promise sweeter than a blood pact
Nothing harder to go through with than a vanishing act
No morning colder than the first frost
No friends closer than the ones we've lost
Nothing sharper than a serpent's tooth
Nothing harder than the gospel truth
Though you repent and don sackcloth and try to make nice
You can't cross the same river twice
The river goes where the water flows
But no one knows when the Batcave closed
The river goes where the water flows
But no one knows when the Batcave closed
There's a club where you'd like to go
You could meet someone who's lost like you
Revel in the darkness like a pair of open graves
Fumble through the fog for a season or two
No town more barren than our town
No haven safer than the one they tore down
No greater love than to lay my life down for a friend
No sweeter pleasure than to see the credits clear through to the end
No one knows where the lone wolf's gone
No one sees it camped out right there on the front lawn
We played for you but you would not sing
No one was gonna get away with anything
The river goes where the water flows
But no one knows when the Batcave closed
The river goes where the water flows
But no one knows when the Batcave closed

ok so just for the record if anyone is out there who needs to assemble a playlist to listen to for facial electrolysis and is wondering whether this is a good song to put on their playlist of songs to listen to while undergoing facial electrolysis, let me tell you: no. no it is not. i can confirm it is not a good song for that purpose. maybe go with This Year instead.

I want this song to open the new Robert Pattinson Batman movie. I don't give a shit if it's too on the nose and I have a feeling no one else would either.

I wish there was a version without the orchestral voices. They seem like they're off key
EDIT: actually after a couple listens they've grown on me. Reminds me of Lovecraft in Brooklyn

i enjoy this song and appreciate its rhetorical goals. however, i do not appreciate how language is devolving in 2024. its not going anywhere tho so i may as well strap in and suffer. if ur reading this from the future just know that there was resistance to the world you now live in.

just to be clear, this is an immediate repost of a comment that i made earlier. i felt like this comment was important enough to be said twice. you may not cross the same river twice but i definitely made that fucking comment twice.
