I noticed that some of the reactors had a hard time understanding the concept of the survey corps.So the survey corps is basically a group of soldiers that venture outside of the walls to "survey," as their name suggests, or rather find out more information about what the Titans are (to study the titans), how to fight/defeat them, explore and map out of the territory outside the walls, and to basically pave the way for humanity's expansion outside the walls

Ya'll are funny, lol. This reaction was chaotic but fun to watch. However, I have a point of criticism: This is a plot-driven show where literally everything is connected from the first episode to the last, so it would have been better if everyone paid full attention to the episode instead of talking over almost everything. This is a pilot episode that introduces the world/universe of AOT, the characters, their motivations, and important concepts like the walls, and the premise, so I would argue that it's the most important in terms of plot because it lays down the foundation for everything else. I assure you, you'll find most things confusing going forward because you missed some stuff from previous episodes, which will make the show less enjoyable. I'm not saying you shouldn't talk. Discussions are literally the best part of reactions. What I'm asking for is to not talk over the dialogue. If someone wants to say something or has a thought or comment in the middle of the show, I recommend pausing the show/episode for them to talk, then pause play and continue with the show after they have finished their comment, so as to not miss important information. Another thing I suggest is that after reacting to every episode, everyone should re-watch that same episode alone at their own time before coming together to react to the next so that you are all on the same page.

I was an anime hater, this was my 2nd anime I watched. After watching AOT you will want to watch more anime, trust me. Make sure you are paying attention, you miss a few words and you won’t understand haft of the episode. Please pay attention and you will understand so much better in ep2 trust me, there’s a lot going on in this anime, I MEAN A. LOT. It’s hard to understand when not paying attention. I will subscribe because I like anime hater’s watching anime. Good luck, I hope you all will like anime after AOT.

Maybe save discussions and questions for after the episode so you guys dont miss anything, especially since you're watching it in sub, if not you could be completely lost and begin misinterpreting things, theres too much that goes on in this anime to not pay attention and even the smallest amount of dialogue can be important.
