Please note that this lap was during my first weekend of driving the car for the first time ever after the rebuild. The setup was still quite nervous, and had lots of work & tweaking to do. Nevertheless it was quite fast and a lot of fun.

Robert, I really like your videos and love your driving skills. Your Video about the Exige was one of the reasons i bought one. But to give the alfa headlightflasher like a maniac is just another perfect example why Hotlaps are forbidden, regardless on Touristdrives or Trackdays.
Even though he was wrong driving on the left side, it is totally fine to concentrate on your driving line for a moment and make space as soon as you feel comfortable. Its not a race competition so everyone, especially the faster drivers, should lead by example. If he drives for a longer time on the left side, yeah...then let hell (flashlights) come over him ;-)

*I love e46 chassis. It's closest in feel to my e30 M3 track car, but with a bit more power. Even my 325ti 'daily' is great fun and I've fitted Bilstein / Eibach so it handles better than lots of more expensive and supposedly better cars. Anyway, great video and driving!*

Very Very nice car and drivng! Did you do a cost video about the M3? You mentioned it when the build started. Would be very interesting because lots of viewers probably dream about building their own track car.
would be curious to see what times this can run just to have a benchmark vs stock obviously with traffic but still. Thinking of doing this exact setup as a second car. Still working on getting a dd for now tho. Really like the driving dynamics from what i can see on camera. Really i just think my dd is too much of a modern street car. I need smth raw and racey and i think the e46 would be good for that. New cars just don't have that outside of porsche or lotus. Or mabye the gr86 could be that way with modifications. Anyway nice car hope your having a blast

Hi @Heelandtoe, I would like to ask you a question. In June I will go with my M3 e46 to the nurburgring. My car has a csl replica intake and a "cheap" exhaust bought on ebay (the model that everyone buys) only the final part, no manifolds etc. In your opinion, in this configuration, I can be banned for too high decibels. I’m just wondering, what is the source of that linear high pitched noise that goes up every time he shifts. I hear that in a lot of high performance track cars and it’s very relaxing to me.
The rear suspensions subframe/diff mounts are all solid mounted to the chassis. Meaning rubber bushing were replaced with solid aluminium bushing. So what you’re hearing, is most likely the increased speed of the diff gears, otherwise known as ‘diff whine’. The speed of these gears always “resets” within each gear, so that’s what after each shift it goes up again.
@@heelandtoe_ ah, so the sheer force being applied to the diff basically resonates through the aluminum bushings amplifying the sound… wow. What a thing of beauty. Thank you for the education! 🤙🏾

@@heelandtoe_ Da gibts doch bestimmt so schöne carbon platten die man hinters lenkrad schrauben kann um die knöpfe rein zu machen und das mit kabeln bekommt man auch gelöst 😂
