This is my beef. Even if they wanted to nerf flame damage they should have waited till 2 mo after the update like every other company. I was so excited to run triple flamethrower for weeks before the update. But nvm
it his the reason of the nerf yes. they cant let you have a primary weapon that easily kill chargers. the flam-XX. i hope they buff the frametrower support variant to be able to kill chargers again.
@@-.Outlaw.- but if you want to flame kill. Use the flam primary. Now I don't see a difference between the two. Exempt the flamethrower use your stratagem place that you need kill bigger enemies
I have seen a flamethrower work irl and it is very hot. You can be 200 feet away and you will feel the temperature rise 10-30 degrees. When somebody is using a flamethrower you can feel it from afar. Flamethrowers should shred through any life with no issues. Even with armor, the armor will heat up and burn possibly the creature. There are also cracks in the chargers armor for fire to "flow" through.
This is exactly what i been saying. One of the reasons a flamethrower was so fucking terrifying when they were still legal in war is the fact youre not even safe in a bunker, theyll just cook your ass out
even in concerts up in the stands like a good 100-200 metres away from the stage, I could feel the air get hotter around me when the pyrotechnics went off.... now a FLAMETHROWER.... aint nothing living through that
10+ from 200 feet away? No. 10- yes. A 10° rise is huge and def doesnt go over that 200 feet away. I think youre miscalculating just how far 200 feet is. Unless the napalm thrower is pointed at you, youd feel upwards of 10° difference and nothing more. Source: seen people use and have used white phosphorus explosives which burn hotter than napalm
@@davidponder1654they are illegal? I thought they just weren’t in use anymore because other weapons are better now. for example, the US stopped using napalm in hhe vietnam war once ~~they were able to kill more c1vil1an5~~ cluster munitions became deadlier than napalm. and having a massive heavy, bulky tank on your back that sets you on fire also isn’t as great when reliable submachineguns/flashbangs exist and combat is mostly over distance
The flame thrower flame affects now look ugly as hell, also the flames bounce off even though it’s a liquid. Makes no sense. “Flames realistic” yet we’re fighting elephant sized bugs and terminators.
Yeah, flame effects do not look good anymore. I always felt so impressed by how realistic they used to look. Now it just looks the same as a flamethrower from some GZDoom game.
It shows how dumb they really are lmao. They took a realistic flamethrower and went “that doesn’t look like when I hold a lighter to my axe body spray so it’s wrong” all they’ve done is show that they really are sweaty armchair morons lol. @@sunbreakerqueenofbronze621 you spend a half second shooting the liquid then set it on fire. Also the bugs are litterally made of oil they, by biological design in lore, should be easy to light on fire.
The Autocannon is now the best support weapons of the game for both factions. This is interesting because it has received zero changes since this game came out, everything else has just been nerfed or enemies have been introduced to which invalidated the other options (behemoths), so just by process of elimination it has become our best tool.
The only reason I think that it hasn't been nerfed is that Pilestedt himself said it was his favorite weapon. And from I've heard, it's also based on a Swedish version of an Autocannon, so there might be some inherent bias from the devs on it.
The autocannon has been one of the best weapons since launch. It can take down all bot and bug objectives like bug holes, shrieker nests, spore nests, and fabricators, except the gunship factory and new long range gun tower. While also 1-2 shotting most enemies on the game. It can also take down all heavy enemies. Including bile titans.
Respawn w apex would be more accurate, huge commercial success off launch that they ruined w mtx and shitty updates. Titanfall by comparison was niche (altho i get what ur saying, it should have been TF3 instead of apex)
Things I witnessed on the stream: Devs were shooting at bot gunships with a breaker incendiary. At least one dev spent no fewer than ten seconds trying to fire an empty weapon. They threw a grenade and ran into it multiple times. They played on difficulty 4 and 5. They engaged a bot tank with a breaker incendiary from the front and seemed genuinely confused as to why it wasn't dealing any damage. They tried to melee a hulk. They stood in napalm and used a stim until they died. They ran out of reinforcements on difficulty 5 before completing the first objective. They must have been super confused when they looked at the spreadsheets of metrics later to find that you actually can kill a tank with the breaker incendiary if you hit the weak point, but they don't track weak points on their metrics. They track difficulty level, weapon used, enemy type killed, and how many hits it took. They also nerf weapons based on their performance at level 5 and below, and don't test spawn rates at difficulties 8-10. There's also a bug that was implemented with the fire change. Fire weapons aren't supposed to deal damage to armor anymore, but now fire damage sometimes doesn't deal damage to armored enemies at all. The flamethrower can bounce off of the charger butt, and breaker pellets apply fire damage first in the calculation and sometimes don't apply physical damage before the fire damage is ignored. The enemy will not ignite if ANY of the pellets hit armor. I hope this puts things into perspective as to why things are in their current state.
I'm only shocked at how *fucking* incompetent these devs are. They can't be this stupid, can they? They're the devs, this is their own game, HOW DO THEY NOT KNOW HOW THIS SHIT WORKS? THEY DESIGNED IT. No, I'm not shocked, I'm fucking livid. HOW. WHY? At this point, they should just let the community do this shit for them because it looks to me like they genuinely have never touched the game until that stream.

I just dont understand that if they know that they are not good in the game or the community tells them that "hey u play really bad and kinda stupid" than why they not let the players test these new changes before they drop the update, like they could do open play tests to the community before an update or hire people who are actually playing with the game and have an opinion about it
Removing ammo doesnt make the game harder, it just makes it less fun Removing those 2 magazines had no effect on my ability to complete missions, it just affected my enjoyment while doing it Less time fighting the enemies, more time avoiding them If anything it makes the game easier because you are incentivized to just creep around instead of engaging with difficult battles Now that i dont have my flamethrower, when i see a charger i just walk around it or bean it in the face with a rocket from 30 meters away, i dont run up and fight it
Ur argument is flawed, because if we take the opposite side, where IB has infinite ammo u would spend more time in combat and have more fun. But the game would be utterly unbalanced.

There were a few comments saying it was Alex Kravchenko (Arrowhead), who destroyed 2 other games with his balance tweaks then left them to die. He's apparently quite notorious for gaslighting and putting people down for his tweaks.
I believe it at this point. I remember when the previous CEO stepped down and we had that great balance patch Alex sent a community message basically saying he spear headed the changes and he isn't the bad guy the community is making him out to be. Gotta say he's right. He's apparently worse lol.
This is the community’s fault. A small amount of players knew Alexus was the issue and kept trying to tell the wider community to call him out and no one listened. Now his power’s gone out of hand and it’s probably too late to minimize his influence on the balancing. Had the larger community listened in the beginning and pushed back against the nerfs we wouldn’t be in the mess that we’re in right now
What sucks to me is I was a Helldivers 1 player years before Helldivers 2 was even announced and the all primaries in 1 were solid were some better than others yes the laser shotgun was the best in the game in my opinion but the point is you could still use the other primaries without feeling like you were handicapping yourself.
Don’t be dense, just because the game’s in a futuristic setting that doesn’t mean that the game’s abandoned all sense of logic and realism. It’s clearly meant to have some degree of internal consistency and part of that is using the right tools on the appropriate target in a way that approximates real life military tactics. It should be evident that that was always the intent from mechanics like unexpended ammo in magazines being lost on reload, aim lag based on weapons handling and injuries affecting the player’s control of their character. Sure, saying it’s a milsim like Arma is maybe putting it too strongly, but it’s closer to that end of the spectrum than Doom or Ultrakill.

Maybe when I have more free time but not with ncaa recently released 😂
The reason people used the breaker incendiary so much is because the thing it was designed to do are the same things that are good against bugs. It's fire and a shotgun, it deals with chaff and small hordes so well. That's exactly why it was used to often on bugs. It wasn't "OP", you had to mag dump to kill some medium enemies and already ran out of ammo fast. They looked at a spreadsheet and said "hey, a lot of people like this weapon that is perfectly designed for bugs, let's make it worse so people stop using it so often against those bugs".
5:16 I swear to you, I have used the stun grenade, hit charger butt, and the mf will TURN AROUND to stop me from doing so even when stunned. Literally I hate chargers. They're a pain to fight against and even their "weak spot" is too tanky
Also now it really feels like they tuned up their turning ability, which if so is dumb. No thing that massive and heavy would be able to turn that fast. I used to be able to dodge them pretty effectively and have them run past, but now they turn faster than I can even do so.
Fun fact, the hitbox of chargers and titans are bugged, where you see armor cracked, is still technically armored, you have to aim for around its shoulders to deal damage once the armor is broken off
For me reason I hate them is just the rate that they spawn at. I’ll never forget playing a match where I had to fight 6 charges and 3 bile titans along with a swarm of bugs. Thankfully I got all of the samples but majority of my team didn’t even make it 💀. Probably why I stopped playing honestly. Spawn rates got super annoying, weapons got nerfed for no reason, and I was seriously holding out for the illuminates to be added into the game too

They nerfed to breaker ONLY because it was popular. It’s not overperforming, the rest of the weapons just aren’t good. The blitzer and sickle are about the only other weapons really worth taking. If they’d bump other weapons up in terms of their performance then we wouldn’t have so many issues.
On the bot front, the Scorcher is effective against a wider range of enemies than the IB is against the tougher bugs. This is just about popularity, and it is a needless change, and proof that nothing has been learned.

They couldve made the carbine more powerful or given it more ammo and it would be great for horde clear. They could give the knight better ammo economy and damage so its actually usable.
I agree. The fact that it's still great at the role it was doing pre-nerf (as this video even mentioned) makes me nervous for *even more nerfs* to it. It's still one of the best primaries against bugs and frankly the nerf didn't lower it much, if at all. Buff the bad weapons instead. Arrowhead should be asking "why aren't more people taking the Liberator against bugs?" Not "how can I make the Breaker Incendiary used as much as the Liberator." P.S.: enjoy the Cookout while you can. If the devs thought the Breaker Incendiary needed a nerf ... oh boy is the Cookout about to get gutted.
I somewhat agree, a LOT of things do need buffs but tbh the breaker-I did deserve a nerf. And tbh I didn't even really notice the nerf that much. I did find myself out of ammo more but not to the point I felt like I should bring a different weapon or a supply pack. ammo boxes are literally everywhere. But yeah, most ARs, and the breaker spray and pray definitely need buffs. things like the liberator concussive are basically useless. The Flamethrower change was ungodly stupid tho
So buff everything instead of nerfing one thing. Do u have a shred of an idea how long that would’ve taken? Have u NEVER played a PvE game before? Buffing 10 things vs nerfing 1.

But you have plenty of weapons and equipment made for tearing apart big enemies and big hordes, you're fighting wave after wave of enemies. If that's not a horde shooter, what is?
Saying the incendiary got a deserved nerf, and we should be happy it wasn’t worse is pretty tone deaf. The general consensus is it was the best option because the ammo economy and damage of other weapons against Terminids is so terrible. The incendiary was where it should have been, the other weapons need tune ups.

They do realize that there exist different types of flame? There’s sticky flame, like napalm, which is so hot, it should be cooking the bug from the inside by sticking to it And there’s scorching flame, like gas, which technically penetrates armor, which by physics should get into every opening on the armor
I swear if changes where carried out at least in part by community voting, games would be significantly better. Warthunder has actually been doing this to an extent and its been incredibly well received.

The fact they don't give you credits for this indicates the devs are actually idiotic. I haven't paid IRL money for any warbond since launch and every one is always inferior wraponry
It tells me that the devs play this game so little that 4 rare samples is actually a lot for them. Meanwhile any of the regular players been maxed on samples for ages. Remember when they hyped so much that they added super samples to difficulty 6 and it was like, who cares? Nobody who wanted to farm super samples would still be playing on difficulty 6. And then the devs play at diff 5 and suck ass the whole time.

If they didn't nerf the flamethrower I think the vibe would be much more positive than it currently is. I have come across no one using the flame weapons in the new warbond. Overall it feels like a let down. My dream of an all flame loadout has gone down in well flames.
If they hadn't nerfed the flamethrower and IB, they would likely have 100% positive feedback about the update. The excitement for the update and warbond was HUGE. Every mission, someone was talking about it. I would GLADLY let them take 100% of the update and warbond away if they undo the nerfs. The price for spore chargers was too high. NO ONE uses the new flamethrower primary. Why? Because it is just as bad as the flamethrower support is now. No reason for it's use ever. No one uses the flame armor. Why? No danger of accidentally burning yourself because you now never use a flamethrower. 2 steps back 100% perhaps 3
I was so pumped for the warbond because I could use the new flame primary against chargers and this would allow me to take something other than the flamethrower or an AT weapon. Now that's dead, and I see zero reason to get those new guns. Like wtf man
Funny thing is, if they'd not nerfed fire, the biggest concern people might have (if we ignore the fear of 'this is good so it'll be nerfed') would be "Does this constitute Pay to Win now? Because it'd be a warbond of 'melts Armored Bugs' weapons.
@@Sorain1 1- zero players were complaining about the flamethrower. To use it involved dealing with several negatives like a) useless vs bots (50% of the game). B) very short range. (10-15M max) C) high probability of injuring/killing self or team. D) cant kill titans The 1 (and only 1) benefit was killing chargers at POINT BLANK RANGE. It doesn't even kill bile spewers especially well. They almost always get 1 attack before they die. If that is not balance for a weapon, they need to look at the definition of "balance". If anything it was still under balanced. Those downsides are pretty big. If the idea of the additional flamethrower seemed like an issue, they could have easily said "the primary and secondary versions from the warbond use a different fuel". Let those weapons have the garbage new flame effect animation (possibly make the flame a different color if needed also) and not allow them to kill chargers. That would have let the stratagem version with ship module buff have a reason to still exist. But most people didn't even like the flamethrower enough to use it. Those downsides outweigh the 1 and only 1 upside for most people. You NEVER saw a team of 4 people using flamethrowers. Most people want much better range with their weapons. But now the flamethrower can't hurt chargers from any angle, even the tail. So, it is now an extremely short range stalwart with high probability of killing SELF and team but unable to damage chargers even on the tail (but a stalwart can do that) If none of those are options to prevent your "pay to win" scenario, players can go thru the painfully boring process of farming for super credits to get the warbond. But what they have done instead of having 100% of their player base happy about level 10, new monsters, larger bases, and new warbond has resulted in all time low player count only 3 weeks after the largest update ever. They claim they will fix issues in 60 days. But they have lost people's trust now. Now all anyone thinks when they hear "new update" will be "new nerfs" in a PVE game.
The bugs in this game are insane as well. I dont understand how so many people give companies like EA shit for not fixing their games, but hd2 gets a pass apparently. Falling through textures, randomly disconnecting at the end of missions, weapons dealing random damage etc. and thats there since day one. Do they fix any of that? Nah, but they sure have time to nerf everything. F them.
What’s crazy is that it seems like the original flamethrower system, and the current flamethrower system were written by completely different developers. But the second developer was allowed to simply remove the old flamethrower system which he clearly didn’t understand, and replace it with his own system which works far worse. This company is severely dysfunctional and mismanaged if these kinds of changes are being allowed with no review process and no oversight.

Im probably a total idiot and never used the breaker incendiary correctly, because in my hands, it felt...kinda garbage, it chewed through ammo like nobodys buisness and felt like it was barely doing the damage or stopping power i needed to keep the hordes of bugs back. So i was quite surprised when i heard people saying it was one of the best primaries
when i refuse to do what my boss tells me to do and do the exact opposite i expect to get fired from my job. I EXPECT SOMEONE AT ARROWHEAD TO LOSE THIER JOB OVER THIS!
@@yomammasaurusrex9571 They should. Whoever's handling these weapon tweaks had plenty of chances to do better, plenty of feedback too and still they fuck up. They need to be fired ASAP and replaced with somebody who knows what they're doing.
What I'd want the developers to do: *notice that a gun/strat is being taken much more than any other option* Community forum/Feedback Form: "Hey guys, ArrowHead here! We've noticed that a lot of people are taking [weapon/strat] over [similar options], can we get your thoughts on why?" Community: [mixed bag of reactions, but overall consensus is that other options do not provide the answer that this weapon/strat does and this weapon is necessary to clear higher difficulties] Developers: "Since [other options] aren't holding up to [overused weapon/strat], we are going to buff them to make them similarly viable to that option, so you players dont feel quite so pigeonholed into taking one single loadout in order to answer challenges at higher difficulties!" Yeah, right. Like that'll ever happen.
The Breaker Incendiary is literally the alt ver of SPRAY & PRAY. It is literally in the name. Arrowhead expects us to be ammo conservative with a Spray and Pray weapon!
Sad to see the game fall off hard, I remember how viper commandos got 100,000 people, but then fell off to 30,000, sad how hard the game is falling apart from the game industry’s golden child to a game with problems that keep on stacking.
The Breaker Incendiary was perfect, didn’t need a nerf. It was great at what it did on low levels, and was really good at higher levels. The flamethrower nerf was terrible. And it proved that AH is a bunch of liars, just like with the review cape we were supposed to get. And they definitely don’t understand how real flamethrowers work.
I dont think the breaker deserved the nerf. Other weapons should feel as strong is it. Its a PvE game and not a PvP game, are the bugs crying at the devs or why are we making the weapons worse. You add a new dificulty only to nerf the weapons we found to be fun. This is just flat out dumb. The game was marketed as having overlowered weapons and yet we are fighting enemies with a spray can and a gun with nevative ammo
The incendiary shotgun nerf is the Eruptor situation again all over. While the nerf didn't gut the weapon like the Eruptor's did, nerfing a good weapon solely on the premise that "it's a reliable weapon that's used too often" (paraphrase of what they literally said) is absolutely wild. Maybe the shotgun is used so much because it's the only good gun, whereas so much of the other available weapons are lacking? Instead of fixing the rest of the roster, they're making them all unusable!
Known where in the mist of a galactic war why not allow the sides of the map too meet with bugs and automatons and have helldivers battle between em both?
Flamethrower doesn’t even kill chaff enemies the way it used to. You cant really stand your ground anymore you have to run away. It doesn’t hold the line anymore at all it’s a literal waste to bring it
imagine reaching level 100+ and still relying on an ammo backpack and wasting this precious slot with it in order to control the cascading mobs. I wonder why do they implemented leveling at all if we dont gain ANY benefit from it. And saying that the only left weapon that was okayish in contrast to all other weakened weapons deserved a nerf is insane. The breaker inc wasnt superior at all. It was the only tool left with an acceptable ammo-ttk-reload ratio. F your "ammo management".
@@OrionDawn15 my major issue with it is that it’s hard to tell the difference between them at a distance. PVE games like L4D2 have already showed us that gamers love it when every enemy is distinct and easily told apart from one another
@@ballisticbox7134 Oh definitely, as an avid L4D2 player I love when a game gives me distinct and recognizable enemy types so I know right off the bat what I'm fighting and how to deal with it.
The best outcome for the game would be if Arrowhead were bought out, the key programmers kept on staff, while the rest were fired. Preferably from a cannon, into the sun.
My two complaints about the latest update: 1: shields no longer break line of sight with you and the enemy. 3 days after i discovered this, and finally had a reason to use the shield. Now gone. 2: the difficulty....the...motherfvcking...difficulty...
Buuuuut hulks can hit me with a flamethrower through a solid wall. As far as nerfs, heres my thought: if i could close my eyes and pick a primary and be happy with whatever i picked, and then there is a primary thats head and shoulders ahead of those hypothetical weapons, sure. Nerf away. Thing is, there are maybe 2 guns that are/were s tier per faction. Until the d tier is atleast b or a tier, they have no business nerfing the fan favorites. Let us use these weapons while you FIX THE REST. Need to fix the broken before nerfing the reliable. If there were 10 other guns that perform close to what they nerfed, no one would care
I love the flamethrower pic for reference is literally a civilian model, of course its not fucking effective, its for burning grass😂 also im also a little booty blistered that they said more surprises were coming just to drum up hype. Thats some activision/blizzard shit and it doesn’t bode well, unless we just havent found what they’re talking about yet
Just noticed something. The trailer fire effects were done pre nerf!!! They hid this on purpose. If they'd shown what was planned, the fallout would have been near instant.
If you notice the new clips of the new flame thrower killing chargers butts, its clearly simple when its a controlled test environment, with out the chaos, that 3 bemoth chargers with the trash mobs coming out of a breach and along with other players Just like the driving eat shoot to the leg, simple, with all that going on #returnflamethower #fixantitank
I hope that the community save this game again, like they did with the playstation stuff, we need to show them our complains and expect the developers to fix it, i love helldivers and i just dont want it to die
Uninstalled and I don’t plan to come back to this game. Why nerf popular weapons instead of buffing everything else? The answer is simple. It’s because it’s easy to change 1 thing instead of changing everything else.
I used to be the flamethrower dude in my crew because that was the only way to kill chargers and it was really fun to use. I was really looking forward to this warbond because I finally had a strong solution to be constantly set on fire with the fire armor. But the flamethrower has no niche now. It has less range, and damage than every other support weapon and it’s not even good for most situations because spewers will out range you and hunters will just jump around you and your fire to kill you. They killed my role in the team. Now I expect we will all just choose whatever loadout when we play because no weapon excels at a task anymore. Honestly I don’t think my friends and I will ever play this again
I think it's just a out of season April fools joke and their going to say we are kidding we are reverting all nerfs. Making railgun once again super strong.
Honestly if they hadn't tried to make their flamethrower be more realistic by not letting it go through multiple enemies nobody would have cared. But by trying to do that right now they made it so that it's not effective versus the one thing it's really effective against. And that's what the whole damn war bond is about. Completely overshadowed every single really awesome thing that they added to the game. And if we're going to be fair they added just a ton of really cool stuff
They’ve also nerfed the flamethrower’s capabilities at crowd control by making fire no longer go through enemies. Now you only burn the front row that is coming at you while the rest can flank and kill you.
I'm glad they finally fixed the flamethrower. When I set a pot of water on my gas burner, I always forget that the flames bounce off and the water stays cold.

This is the dumbest argument ever. The flamethrower nerf was totally justified.
they push a fire themed warbond and nerf the flamethrower? wtf?
This is my beef. Even if they wanted to nerf flame damage they should have waited till 2 mo after the update like every other company. I was so excited to run triple flamethrower for weeks before the update. But nvm
AND they promote items that are supposed to aid you with the flamethrower but..what good are they if you are no longer using the flamethrower..LOL
it his the reason of the nerf yes. they cant let you have a primary weapon that easily kill chargers. the flam-XX. i hope they buff the frametrower support variant to be able to kill chargers again.
It’s not that deep, people acting like it’s un useable now because it can’t cheese chargers are just stupid as hell.
One of the reasons a flamethrower was so fucking terrifying when they were still legal in war is the fact youre not even safe in a bunker, theyll just cook your ass out
Like example is War world 2 soldier use their flamethrower and it still terrifying
even in concerts up in the stands like a good 100-200 metres away from the stage, I could feel the air get hotter around me when the pyrotechnics went off.... now a FLAMETHROWER.... aint nothing living through that
10+ from 200 feet away? No.
It’s not a liquid. Flamethrowers in HD2 are gas.
Yeah, flame effects do not look good anymore. I always felt so impressed by how realistic they used to look. Now it just looks the same as a flamethrower from some GZDoom game.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the autocannon got nerfed eventually too tbh
Shhh don't let them know about the Autocannon

The autocannon has been one of the best weapons since launch. It can take down all bot and bug objectives like bug holes, shrieker nests, spore nests, and fabricators, except the gunship factory and new long range gun tower. While also 1-2 shotting most enemies on the game.
It can also take down all heavy enemies. Including bile titans.
Ive honestly never seen devs ruin their golden goose like this. Except maybe Respawn with Titanfall

An inert box on my back instead of all the other strategems I could have taken is so much fun.

Arrowhead should be asking "why aren't more people taking the Liberator against bugs?"
Not "how can I make the Breaker Incendiary used as much as the Liberator."
P.S.: enjoy the Cookout while you can. If the devs thought the Breaker Incendiary needed a nerf ... oh boy is the Cookout about to get gutted.

We only started using the Incindiary breaker because they nerfed the slugger and standard breaker.
So buff everything instead of nerfing one thing. Do u have a shred of an idea how long that would’ve taken? Have u NEVER played a PvE game before? Buffing 10 things vs nerfing 1.
The fact the breaker incendiary is still the best shows just how god awful every other primary is at least for bugs
I still do not understand how Arrowhead wants me to play Helldiver's 2. Give me bombs gatling turret jet packs shields rockets mechs and 6 different flavors of Grenades but the most viable gameplay strategy on high difficulty is to "avoid" Patrols.
Because as much as you want it to be a horde shooter first, it is not.
@@yomammasaurusrex9571 I guess not I don't know what it's trying to be then.
@@yomammasaurusrex9571So what even is it? Mil sims don't have enemies that take up full mags and throw 15 of them at you at the same time. The amount of enemies on higher difficulties is just frustrating when you constantly run out of ammo shooting the most basic of aliens.
@@speedforce8970 agreed. It feels like I'm losing more because I simply have exhausted all ammo and Stratagems and I feel fundamentally the answer being to avoid patrols is dumb.
@@yomammasaurusrex9571 Then what the FUCK is the game, man? If it's not a horde shooter, WHAT IS IT? The first game is a horde shooter, this one is too. Stealth plays a non-existent role in gameplay and as 'detailed' as it is, you can never fully stealth a mission and the game DISCOURAGES stealth by spawning in patrols to magically wander to your position.
The incendiary was where it should have been, the other weapons need tune ups.
yup. try and clear a bug breach with a Breaker. Above difficulty 4 or 5, you CAN'T. It doesn't matter how good you are. you just. run out of ammo. and the standard Breaker is still one of the """better""" primaries. utterly pathetic state of the game.
They do realize that there exist different types of flame?
There’s sticky flame, like napalm, which is so hot, it should be cooking the bug from the inside by sticking to it
And there’s scorching flame, like gas, which technically penetrates armor, which by physics should get into every opening on the armor
I don’t understand why it’s so hard for game developers to just listen to us
I swear if changes where carried out at least in part by community voting, games would be significantly better. Warthunder has actually been doing this to an extent and its been incredibly well received.
Because people only complain about everything. Like it has been months where everyone been saying the flamethrower and incendiary breaker makes the bugs a cake walk on the hardest difficulty. Now people just mad that they can't win on the hardest difficulty while they are half asleep.
Because 99% of the time the community is filled with crying man babies who don’t care about reality but just want to voice what they want. And when their unrealistic expectations aren’t met they cry and moan on social media that no one cares about their opinion.
Well I think they did listen. They listened to what most of us said (there are people still defending AH out there even now) and chose to do exactly the opposite.
God complex, they're too good to listen like normal people
For me the biggest joke in this update is saying that taking on the new enemy bases would bring "great rewards".
Yeah, 4 rare samples and 2 super samples, IF you extract the egg. Such great rewards. Still don't have anything else to spend my samples at either (and they are capped so I can't even just farm them for the lolz)
LOL
While having to beat the current hardest difficulty. . .
Agree. They've also said in the past that they will release new content to deal with the new challenges. Big maps and still no vehicles? Guess that was a lie. It's mandatory to bring full supplies booster, running booster, experimental infusion booster just to finish a map at anywhere near a reasonable time.
The problem is, they SAID they werent gonna nerf anymore. That's the issue.

I kind of love how when I read that I was picturing the IB as a character in GFL because of how you phrased it.
Let's do it this way, if they're worried about it being anti-charger. Chargers have developed a small resistance to flames, +10% flame resistance. Makes it harder, it's still viable, badaboom
If they didn't nerf the flamethrower I think the vibe would be much more positive than it currently is. I have come across no one using the flame weapons in the new warbond. Overall it feels like a let down. My dream of an all flame loadout has gone down in well flames.
I love flame weapons too so it’s a shame to see this as they looked fun to use in the trailer.
I run them and... yeah, they're kind of underwhelming.
I don't even care what they do anymore, in the future they will be video essays on how helldivers devs had the biggest choke in video game history.
I can imagine it now:
"Helldivers 2: how to kill your golden goose."
“The rise and fall of helldivers 2.”
“Helldivers 2, the fall of freedom (and community relations)”
Dead of a game : Helldivers 2
And somewhere down the line.
How Space Marine 2 killed Helldivers 2
Like wtf man
@@Nathan_Higgens exactly. Imo, I would rather they remove 100% of the update, increase spawn rate on level 9 and I have my flamethrower and IB back
Funny thing is, if they'd not nerfed fire, the biggest concern people might have (if we ignore the fear of 'this is good so it'll be nerfed') would be "Does this constitute Pay to Win now? Because it'd be a warbond of 'melts Armored Bugs' weapons.
@@Sorain1 1- zero players were complaining about the flamethrower. To use it involved dealing with several negatives like a) useless vs bots (50% of the game). B) very short range. (10-15M max)
C) high probability of injuring/killing self or team.
D) cant kill titans
The 1 (and only 1) benefit was killing chargers at POINT BLANK RANGE.
So, it is now an extremely short range stalwart with high probability of killing SELF and team but unable to damage chargers even on the tail (but a stalwart can do that)
If none of those are options to prevent your "pay to win" scenario, players can go thru the painfully boring process of farming for super credits to get the warbond.
You are correct, many devs have been swapped out of balancing department since launch. Still can’t do fuck all in terms of balancing it right though
Sure didn't help one of their balancing dev or the "lead dev" (idk the correct term for it)

I want to mention two behemoth of games that are kind of live service Tf2 and cs2. Both of these has different metas but devs wouldn't shit down the gun that was broken, they would just slightly nerf it and buff others. Yes tf2 had a roller coaster of weapons (200+ to be specific) but it was fun how the weapons interacted with other weapons. I mean some of the weapon stats were completely changed or removed. As for the cs? Mostly bullet or accuracy nerf. Community: [mixed bag of reactions, but overall consensus is that other options do not provide the answer that this weapon/strat does and this weapon is necessary to clear higher difficulties]
Developers: "Since [other options] aren't holding up to [overused weapon/strat], we are going to buff them to make them similarly viable to that option, so you players dont feel quite so pigeonholed into taking one single loadout in order to answer challenges at higher difficulties!"

Arrowhead. Don’t nerf good weapons unless they’re game breaking, buff bad weapons with buffs that make sense. Simple

Let us use these weapons while you FIX THE REST. Need to fix the broken before nerfing the reliable. If there were 10 other guns that perform close to what they nerfed, no one would care
They need to have a standard for how many mags you can carry. This is just beyond moronic.

And all of that just for stupid bouncing flames????? Flamethrowers spray a liquid!!! It’s LESS realistic and makes for WORSE gameplay!!
Nerf upon nerf upon nerf you need to buff other shit that’s why people gravitate towards specific weapons it’s not hard to understand
Lol I'm one of those people who didn't buy the warbond because of the fire nerf lol
Flamethrower should melt down circuits and would be a strong anti bug and bot weapon
Who is the person at arrowhead that actually does the nerfs?. Someone has to be doing it and they need to be fired
I'm glad they finally fixed the flamethrower. When I set a pot of water on my gas burner, I always forget that the flames bounce off and the water stays cold.
