  • Hey, sunshine! I hope you're having a most amazing day! Today, I have a gorgeous, adjustable, sleeveless, crocheted sweater pattern that I want to share! Point Horizon is a stunning, lacy top that's sure to become one of your favorite, warm-weather pieces.
    Download Point Horizon at www.expression...
    Point Horizon is ideal for the adventurous beginner crocheter. It's an airy top that is accented with a simple, lace stitch yoke. Switch things up by swapping the colors on one piece, and you can change the direction you wear it for a different look! You can also customize the shoulders and hem. If you're ready to cast on, grab your yarn and hooks, and be sure to watch this video in which I demonstrate how to crochet both the body stitch pattern and the yoke stitch pattern. With this knowledge, you'll have everything you need to crochet this incredible top!
    Point Horizon uses our lovely Ephemeral Fingering yarn, which is the perfect yarn for warmer weather. It is 100% plant based and is a mix of 69% soft Pima Cotton and 31% Lyocell. The sample top is shown in colors Cibrina and Serein.
    www.expression...
    This yarn base and this year's colors are limited edition. Once they are sold out, we will not have them again until next year, so be sure to purchase all you will need for your project.
    Have a marvelous day! Be sure to sign up for email updates to receive more knit and crochet patterns. We aim for one a week, and most are free for a limited time only. You'll also get coupon codes and be among the first to hear about new limited yarns! XOXO

    Aha! I've been hunting for the stitch used for the body lately. Thank you! I agree it makes a great blanket, because I used to make small blankets for charities years ago. I'd make a border with the same stitch in contrasting color which looked great. Also... I didn't get tricked into thinking you were modeling _two_ different tops this time! I'm such a ninny. 🤭

I am in the middle of making this gorgeous top and I already knew how to do the bottom part of it but when I got to the top part I was getting lost( I am a visual person so I need to see how it is done) Now it seems so simple😊 I am using your Seacoast fingerling yarn and I absolutely love the texture it gives. I will post pictures on your Facebook page. Have a lovely day sweet lady💐

    This is so beautiful!!! For the gauge do I work the pattern for the body and in 4 inches there should be 23 dc and 13 rows? Do I need to gauge the yoke?

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts  2 года назад +1

      Yes, those gauge numbers are for an unblocked swatch crocheted in the body stitch pattern. If you match that gauge, you shouldn't need to gauge the yoke.

    This is beautiful and a fun pattern just perfect for sunny Florida! By the way, what is the pullover pattern that I see in the opening, in the "thumbnail" of you? It appears to be a raglan sweater with a textured front and stockinette sleeves! What is that texture/stitch on the body? It looks fantastic! (I knit as well as crochet). Thanks again for a wonderful tutorial!

      Crocheting and now knitting has taught me how to enjoy just being. Now that I have more experience, the rhythm of the hand motions is incredibly soothing. Even mistakes are handled better, patiently and more methodically. No shed frustation tears in a very long time.

    Lovely, lovely, lovely ! I want to pick up my crochet and try the pattern. However is there a way to add sleeves ? I don’t wear sleeveless for personal reasons.

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts  2 года назад

      You could certainly add sleeves. Just knit the body as instructed. Then you could knit the sleeves individually in the round and seam them in at the armhole. Or you could pick up stitches at the armhole, and then knit from the shoulder to your preferred length. You'll just need to covert one of the lace stitch patterns from flat to in the round.

    • @neerum5004
      @neerum5004 2 года назад

      Thankyou ! I will be crocheting the top, so will it be easier to pickup stitches or crochet in the round and stitch?
