Put a kiltie( False tongue) in the black ones. You can also place a thin insole for comfort. Nicks Boots Handmade Boots sell both. The boots should bend at the widest part of the ball of your foot. Another way to check the length ; place your foot on the insole outside your boot. The insole should fit jut right in the boot for this test to be effective. You should have at least the width of your index finger and no more than your thumb’s width. At least this is what they recommend at Nicks Handmade Boots. Or also Nicks sales different width from AA to FFFF.

@@giorgostzolis4245 a good tip i read from someone on here and it worked is: rub a good amount of your leather oil/wax/conditioner on the inside of your shoe in the toe box. then put on wool socks and wear them all day. you can apply heat from a hair dryer for a couple minutes at a time while wiggling your toes if you wish. the paste will soak into the leather, softening it to the shape of your foot, while also waterproofing the inside and making it way more resistant to fungus/mold problems. works really well, and obviously use common sense when applying to the inside. one finger tip scoop at a time.

Redwing shoe sizing is pathetic. I got my 875 "fitted" in the Redwing store in London. And i find them at least 1/2 too big. So pissed off. Can't return them now. Never buy Redwings.

Yeah. Also nicks are super expensive. But I agree on the bend. I have black red wings and they are a tad big so they bend towards the front.

Both my 875s and 8111s are size 7.5. The 875 does feel narrower on the toe box.

There’s no way you should be 7 1/2 for a size 9 sneaker. Go get your feet measured.
