Just did one on a Chevy Equinox , good video the Catalytic converter wasn't that bad to unbolt ,I did have to replace one exhaust stud on the out let of the cat but other than that it went fine ...thanks
Great video very informative, working on the USA turd version "equinox" yours is the only video I've found on RUclips for removal of the differential should help alot of folks out with there fine gm product 🙄.
friend, the transfer case that I changed is from an automatic or mechanical box... and you know if the transfer case is the same for automatic and mechanical box captiva 2015 4x4
Thank you mate this is very useful, I have one related question, do I need to remove the transfer case to replace the crank sensor or is there an other way to tackle it? Cheers
Hi there my wife has a 2013 AWD automatic Chevrolet Captivia. It makes vibrations at very low speed turning. It’s got worse and a guy at modern tyres said it sounds like the differential. How much should I expect to pay to get this fixed from best to worse?
Pretty much except removal of the converter on the 2.4l is a pain due to the heat shield that has to be removed via the topside and remove just about everything above said sheild to get it out of the way to to then access the converter bolts.
Greeting, I've got same problem. I'm not quite sure that it is related to engine oil leaked? my engine oil is almost empty and some fluid leaked from a breaking point on transfer case.
Very informative. Thank you for sharing your expertise. A very underrated channel.
Thank you 🙏🙏 very nice of you to say 😊
I‘ve had the same issue on my Chevrolet Captiva and your video is very helpful! Thank you
Glad it helped, Thanks for leaving a comment Rogl.
Well done Gerard!
Good step by step description. Looks like the bearings really did a number on the transfer case. Ah, ya gotta love the Captiva.....
Thanks very much mate 🙏 they keep us busy though 🤔🤣🤣
@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarage Yup, the Craptiva is a mechanics goldmine!

Is it necessary to remove the transfer case to change the oil sump?
Greeting, I've got same problem. I'm not quite sure that it is related to engine oil leaked?
my engine oil is almost empty and some fluid leaked from a breaking point on transfer case.
Very nice it taste good rice and beans.
I know this is a couple of years later...but I'm struggling to source a driveshaft seal for a 2010 Captiva. Any ideas?
Can I find parts for this transfer case ?mind have a bad bearing pinion and wiggle it to the sides
What was the labour time for this?
Thanks buddy...
Weird that mine didnt come with the heat shield! Maybe is not standard in the ones sold in EU.
Mine neither, thought previous owner trashed it
How long did it take you to complete?
Interested to know as well!
Book time for 2.4l is 6hrs
wow not gonna try that one myself
Nice to know what you are up against before commencing :)
24/7👀👀👀👀
Hey mate. Is there anyway to get the starter motor out without removing the transfercase?
