Yes installing it is far worse. I pulled and rebuild a 4R75E Ford transmission. Rebuilding it yourself isn't bad. Works like a charm and saved a ton of money.
Another great step by step Dan. Automatic trans remove and replace is a job alot of people think is impossible, but it's totally doable with the right tools!
You made it look like the way I would try to do it. I've got a 2001 blazer that I'm debating about pulling the trans out of and it too would be on the driveway. But I've only got gravel. Wish me luck. Thanks for all the useful tips. Don C.
@The Daninator I was impressed with the specs. 1300 in lbs of torque. I didn't believe them, though. That's more than my 3 year old DeWalt. I believe more now.
I useualy let the transmission hang down so I can reach things easier, and get to the top with long extensions and swivels, from over top of the transmission, all the best to you and your loved ones
At least your deep tranny pan came with a drain plug, my 06 has a deep pan with no damn drain plug, if you’re not careful you get to take a shower at the same time you change your transmission filter and fluid.
I’ve dropped out manual transmissions on a couple firebirds for clutch disk repairs, far easier than what you went through. Automagics are tough but can be done by a DIY dude for sure.
My beautiful 02' Blazer ZR2 reads as a Trailblazer on my scanner & my mechanics scanner for some reason. Aren't these 2 different vehicles? I had my 4L60e rebuilt a few years back. $2200 The "Sunshield" or whatever they call it snapped, I hear this is a major issue if you have a stock Shield. It's located right in the middle of your tranny, so you might as well rebuild it. Great info. About to tackle my drivers side rear bearing tomorrow.

You did a good job.

Thanks Adrian. Was thinking it was going to be horrible but it wasn’t bad at all. A little messy, if you’re an idiot like me. LOL
@@TheDaninator I've never changed one that didn't turn into the Exonn Valdez.

It'll be easier to remove transfer case first then the trans. future reference
I'm living this nightmare right now.
You made that look so easy I have been procrastinating about doing a transmission swap forever
You made it look so easy! I can't imagine doing that on my back.
You sold me on the ratcheting box end wrenches! Pick up a set last weekend.
Awesome! Will not regret that purchase 👍
well done young man ,well done .
I'm impressed how much work you got done with the Harbor freight impact driver! I just discovered your channel and loving it.
Thank you. That little driver can’t do everything, but it can do a lot. 👍

Get a set of the extra long flex head ratcheting with offset wrenches you will love them.
I’ll check them out 👍
what a great video...now that's how you do a video for Diyr's...thanks
The tranny on my Envoy went out last month. I'll be doing this soon. Thanks for showing me what I'm in for.
Nice job! Surprised you forgot to drain the tranny but all and you made it look easy. Thanks for sharing! 💯👍
Yeah, shoulda remembered to drain the trans! Won’t make that mistake again. 😂
If you split the transmission and transfer case, it'll make it easier
Yeah, I pulled mine separately.
I agree the 1/4" impacts are worth the money.. seems like the Bauer cordless tools are pretty good!!! ✌🏻
So far, so good. I’m happy with it 😎👍
Their Hercules line is even better
Have you pulled a transmission? How did it go?
I have a 2005 TrailBlazer and it's grinding bad when I put it in reverse, what do you think it could be?
I useualy let the transmission hang down so I can reach things easier, and get to the top with long extensions and swivels, from over top of the transmission, all the best to you and your loved ones
Yep, letting it hang made it much more manageable to get the bell housing bolts!

Great video thanks very much

…on a patio, even. 😜
You ever see a tree bark??
They don’t only bark, they’ve been branching out.
@@TheDaninator Okay, I'm "leaving" now... :)

Been watching your videos a while now. Have 4 trailblazers myself great suvs . Wondering Why you parted out that ext ?
I bought it for the parts. It had a blown motor.
How come you didn't just replace the motor if that was it?
It was pretty clean underneath
Oh Yeah 🎉🎉🎉🎉
