People do have very short term memories. Back when China began opening up its economy in the 1980s, the number of ICE - internal combustion engine - gas/petrol burning vehicles literally exploded in numbers onto the scene. Within a very short 10 years, traffic around the major cities of Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, etc were choked with traffic jams and pollution from those vehicles was truly awful, pumping out their CO2, CO and other noxious environmentally harmful gases.. Visitors from overseas used to complain as well as whine and even sneer at the pollution in the air.
So, what happened when China decided to bring in hybrids (for a very short while) but turned to EVs as the best option? It reduced air pollution for a start. It went for renewable energy sources and modern clean air coal fired power generators in places where there is insufficient wind and solar availability. Go to the major cities in China today and see the volume of electric cars and electric motorcycles whizzing around the streets and observe the clean, clear blue skies above. China has shown what can be done by example - and the solution to climate change is available for the rest of the world to embrace.
Only the recalcitrants, the cynics, the forever negative seekers, the ultra conservatives, the cave-dwellers, and those who live in the past, will fight tooth and nail against real progress.

The question asked at 42.00 needs elaboration. Besides green energy, what other sectors are growing in China? The answer does not need a crystal ball to answer. Every 5 years, China sets out its five-year plan. It has exceeded all its previous 5-year plan goals except for the Covid years. These sectors include health, education, and transport services. Technology, AI, finance, biopharmaceutical, medical devices, marine development, land development, affordable housing, logistics, and, of course, green energy are some of those activities that are some of the important sectors. The biopharmaceutical market is now a US sanction and tariff target.

Chinese economy is socialist economy with state planning and state capital funding using effective IT technologies, big data and AI analysis. After 70 years of try and error, and riding on the IT revolution, socialist economy is finally becoming successful and showing much more effective results than the private capitalist economy.

Real and truly intelligent people are those who are wise enough to never admit that they know everything and are a reservoir of all knowledge because the day when you do know everything and there is nothing new to learn any longer is also the day when they place you in a box and lower you six feet under.

Uncle Sam and his Western allies have trouble with this kind of informative interview. There's no logic behind it at all. They consider it a Chinese language that Sam and his colleagues cannot comprehend. It does not apply to the 'Rule base order'

1986 Plaza Accords is during Reagan’s second term which further solidified the Reagan-Thatcher regime which was planned for 1980. Reagan was groomed for his political career as California governor and then President by General Electric to serve MNC multinational corporate interests. Before 1980, the 1973 overthrow of Chile’s Allende set the foundation for neoliberalism, which is finally now being challenged by Modern Monetary Theory, ie sovereignty including socialism.
