Along with funny dialogue, The Gold Girls did a fabulous job of using body language alone to tell the viewer something. Both Rose's walk of guilt and her later look at Sophia cracked me up!

I love the growing desperation in Blanche’s voice, the hilarious way she says “little pie-little PIE?!” And the weak and utterly defeated “where’s my shake” absolutely kills me
I agree. All of the actors on that show were so good at their craft. I wonder what all they had to go through to while learning it. Like maybe when haivng to put on a growly sounding voice while some want to be back seat drivers are blocking the highway.

At any rate the character Dorothy sure did know how to calm down Blanche with the right words around all of the controversies concerning Blanche's ambitions.

And Dorothy referred to Blanche by asking Rose "Is 'Kill the Bitch' a traditional St. Olaf party game?"
I think baboon will have a better effect than bi*ch, not so much because of the word itself but because baboon has two syllables while bi*ch only has one. You can try to say Blanche’s line, a two-syllable word put a much stronger exclamation mark to the sentence
