What type of bulbs did you use for comparison? Are they the stock 4300k, or a higher like 5000k? And did you have to do any other alignment with the new projector before reassembling the light?
I realize this is an older video but…did you guys change the studs due to the reduced flange distance of the 2.0 or did you just leave the gap? if you left the gap is it purely a cosmetic thing or does it affect performance?
Thanks for the quick answer. What about the ground wire on the housing side? I understand the 2.0 doesn’t have a lug for it. Is there somewhere else you land it?
I'm about to do the same on my Saab. I'll be doing a full video series on how to swap them out right from start to finish. If you've already done it and got any useful tips, please get in touch (email in about)
I'm about to do a video series on this myself - did you find out an answer? I want to include a list like this in my intro, so if you can help me please get in touch (email in about)
I can tell you guys one interesting fact you might not know about. You know why oem bowl in the beggining was made not absolutely smooth ? Same as why lense was not clear? It had a point. with Fresnell lense and not perfectly smooth bowl there was no sharp light cutoff.. light was cut but it reflected just a bit more up so the road signs and little reflective dots on roead surface higher than cutoff was lit. with clear lens and perfectly smooth bowl cut off is sharp but signs are not lit.. that's the problem in europe. Also eyes get realy tired from sharp changes of contrast (Lighted road and absolute darkness higher than cutoff)
Just installed these on my E39 and I am super happy with the results. Surprised how easy it was. Definitely worth every penny.
Did the same to my own E39 - clear corners, new projectors, and new angel eyes - and I couldn't be happier. Way better now.
May i know the projector size in e39? Is it 3"?? Thx
@@Carlo_anthony ye 3"
Can you please add some links where u buy it from thx
David Kis Google it.

Did you find the cause of the morimoto h1 peeling phenomenon and improve it?
20 years ago, Hella was selling them $1400 per headlight like hotcakes lol
thank god the Japanese had a clue about collimating light

We leave the gap and it's just cosmetic.

Where are 2 wires connected to?
How do generic ebay/aliexpress Evo XR projectors compare to the Morimoto branded ones?
It's probably the same thing
The two projectors are using the same bulb?
Yes
Do you have adapter screws for the Morimoto Evoxr 2 projector because it doesn't fit perfect...
Do you have a video on how to switch out the projector I just ordered those projectors and I need help installing them.

great video .where can i find the list of cars that this projector will be a direct fit in?

is it possible to turn around the cut-off to make it uk compliant? ta
Sorry you cant swap the shield to make it work. Check with RetrofitLab, I think they have a RHD version
I need this swap on my 2007 GL 450. I just put new bulbs in and light output is still dim. Mercedes has those
frosted bulbs.
Sure email us with any questions - info@lightwerkz.net
mine just got complete white inside, what a BS :D companies like that should do better than selling crap, but that how things goes today
Is this comparison with a LED or Xenon bulb?
these are Xenon projectors - we do not recommend any LED bulbs inside of these.
You mean its frosted
Are you referring to the statement made about the bowl? Yes the original is sort of frosty but this one has some extra "wear" on it.
Lightwerkz Global Inc. Yea those bowls burn easy ass hell

We have heard this theory, makes sense.
Thirty 2nd 👊🏻💪🏻
How much voltage/amps did you supply for bench testing? I want to test mine before reinstalling the lens cover.
Can use any 12V power supply for bench testing.
