To be fair I expected the Barbie movie to be similar to the animated ones that have a fun vibe and have a good universal message + Ryan Gosling. It did kinda deliver a fun vibe but it's hard to completely enjoy it as it's plastered with cliche political satire/messaging. He really leaned into the ridiculousness of his character to satyrize the nice guy in simps clothing trope while simultaneously lifting margo's character up in a way that fed the joke while while also giving her character and the message the respect it deserved. If any of that makes sense? In other words: "ill make a clowm of myself to highlight the brilliance of the those that the focus should be on" although, ironically, i feel like he did such a great job that he made his character loveable and more importantly, memeable which did kind put a lot of the attention on himself. I dont think that was his intention though.
