The difference is you're getting paid. With modern schooling in the west, it's an almost entirely pointless venture as the only reason you're there is to pass arbitrary state-mandated tests which won't help you in the majority of fields & as such most kids don't really give a shit
As a teacher I would never speak to my students the way some of these teachers are speaking to theirs but if you sat in a classroom today and heard and saw what we deal with day in and day out I can understand their frustration. Students lack respect, they aren’t making good decisions, they lack problem solving skills and common courtesy. There are good students and my heart goes out to them because they are just as frustrated as the teachers. There is zero respect for authority or the learning environment. I have six children-4 of them are adults and 2 of them are 12 and 15. They would never and they have never disrespect the instructor or their peers in the way that many students do. In fact they come home complaining about other students. If my kid ever acted disrespectful toward an instructor, they sure as hell wouldn’t have a cell phone to record any this crap. There are no consequences. I love teaching. I’ve been teaching 25 years and I have never seen the level of disrespect that I see now. I do whatever I can to encourage and support their success in my English class but the old cliche about bringing a horse to water is so true. Parents need to step up to the plate and work with the teachers. We share the same goal. We want our students/children to experience success. I didn’t go to school to be a babysitter but most days it feels like that’s what I’m doing. The students don’t care. I don’t even know why half of them show up. We just lost a student this week bc an intruder came on campus and fatally stabbed a 15 year old girl. My heart aches for her family and my thoughts and prayers go out to them. One would think such a serious tragedy would bring us all together but I have students who laugh at the situation. There’s no compassion or empathy. These are character traits that should be taught at home along with respect for authority figures common courtesy and appreciation. I am surrounded by great teachers who have dedicated their life to every student who is in their classroom. We can’t do the work for them. I do everything to create a positive student centered learning environment; it’s amazing how a handful of students can suffocate the positivity from the students who want to be there. We don’t give up even when the parents do. We don’t give up. Parents have to step up to the plate. They need to enforce consequences. Again they need to work with us and not against us. I don’t know if many jobs where we go to work only to suffer verbal emotional mental and even physical abuse on a daily basis but we show up because we care. Someone has to care. Teaching can be very rewarding but it is truly one of the most thankless jobs I know.
You should probably use a pseudonym on comments then bc if schools find out you commented anything they find objectionable and you use your real name you can get fired or even doxxed.
Teachers might get more respect if so many didn’t have massive power complexes. The majority of teachers I had when I was in high school seemed to only be there so they could boss people around and get paid to do so.

Having taught for 40 years in public school high schools I can completely relate to some of these situations. However I did have a class of 25 percussionist and if you ever want to gather high energy and not necessarily highly motivated students that is what you would put together. I never ever had trouble with those students because the minute they hit the class they were busy working on projects. I think one of the key methods of classroom control is getting students completely engaged in the class and involved from beginning to end. Every once in a while I would have a student who simply wouldn’t respond to anything and I would simply ignore that student as if they didn’t exist. Day after day after day I would ignore them and eventually they would want to be included and change their behavior. The one thing I didn’t do however send them to the office because that was telling the student I was incapable of handling them. Teachers hang in there you have a tremendously difficult job and in many cases, thankless, but you also have a tremendously important job and if you’re capable of doing it you’re a very special person. For those who have never been in the classroom day after day after day you really have nothing to say. Teacher/student relationship is very unique and special so hang in there both of you, it’s well worth it!!
I guess you would have sent this guy to the office if he would constantly have talked so loud that your lesson was constantly disrupted. Or what else would you have done in this case? This might be a rare case but it happens.
The 2nd teacher has the right to be mad. How rude do you have to be to yell “Yolo” back at him. That laughing and yelling “yolo” was incredibly unnecessary. 😐
I'm assuming it was a senior prank. the kid yelling YOLO was fucking stupid. but the principle didn't have to be so mad because he clearly gave them permission to do the prank, must've had a bad morning
Lmao the prank wasn’t even funny, if I was a teacher I would have been pressed. But that teacher probably didn’t know the pranks was gonna be like that regardless. 😬
I think one thing I’ve learned as a new teacher is the lack of discipline in schools. Back when I was in high school, I’d get in trouble for the most ridiculous things. Nowadays, I see kids can get away with anything. I love most of my students, but it’s so easy to get down over those few who are beyond regular teenage behavior- nasty attitudes, extreme disregard for their education, etc
@Tiffany Wart probably the kids that failed math every year so there doing it over. Let’s be real if kids are being that disrespectful then there probably not the smartest humans out there. Just saying
@@ianjanicki7725 in my experience, someone who is disrespectful is either absolutely brilliant or completely stupid, and in school they are usually just stupid
Yeah I feel for the teachers who care about the kids and just wanna do their job in peace. As an adult I look back and feel bad cause we really gave some of them hell.
god no she wasn't at all good, a viewer confirmed she got fired and so did multiple others, the student in the video could have had a disability, you try talking about being more considerate when you just straight up say the student is wrong, my god, I partly agree in a sense that it does happen but you are saying EVERYBODY does or something.
dude, that first one kinda hit me in the feels. i was treated that way my entire school life. i have adhd and learning disabilities like you wouldn’t believe. and hearing the teacher compare the student to everyone else is straight bullying. also with the screaming too. unbelievable. sure, the calculator might be easy to control for you but not other people. hell, it took me an entire school year to figure out my calculator. i’m serious.
That is so sad. My sister has adhd too. You can’t just assume people can figure stuff out. It’s not dumb to ask for help. It’s better to get help than sit there confused. Teachers should understand that not all students are the same
Princess Poppy no no, the more questions you ask the more teachers get annoyed then start being snarky. they’ll say “why are you asking questions we just went over this.” makes me want to kill the teacher right there.
Feel bad for the last teacher, there we’re points where I’d sounded like he was holding back tears and pure sorrow. It was nice that the kid finally stopped after the teacher said those things tho. Poor guy needs some respect
@@foskfismfus When I was your age, I felt the same way, about most (not all) of my classmates. There were a few nice kids, but most of them were self-important jacka$$es, who wouldn't even say, "Good morning", "Hello", "Did you see that show on HBO last night?", etc. or just talk to you like you were less than a human being. These same kids then called me "stuck-up" because I was bashful, & had to wear glasses & braces. Go figure.
@2:57 STAAR test, huh? I remember as a senior I had to "take" that test as a guiney pig so the state (Texas) could measure its affectability for the students who had to officially take it next year. I randomly bubbled in everything and answered my short answers in what Japanese I knew. Because that test was going to be worse than the TAKS text. Just another way for the government to push more tests in the school year (and give the companies more money to print and distribute them).
I could really feel the frustration of the teacher in the last one, just imagine how hard and frustrating it would be to teach a class ever single day.
First teacher is everything a teacher shouldn’t be, there’s nothing wrong with asking a question on what was just went over on. When a teacher starts shouting at me I completely disconnect and lose every care for what they’re saying and the class altogether
Exactly!! That student could've had ADD. Her teaching style could also be god awful. She's the type of instructor that will say "don't be afraid to ask questions", but berate you in front of the class for not paying "attention". That probably took him a lot of effort to ask, but she embarrassed him. Sadly, there are a lot of teachers like her that have no compassion.
Black Lion 8625 Youre an idiot. I love how you assume so much and you don’t even consider that it’s a normal non disabled student who constantly doesn’t pay attention and is rude? What about that? Sure she got angry, but you can’t just assume things and make up your mind
@@BloodInTheStrawberries @Olive Oil Dude, you fucking moron holy shit. Do you have adhd too? -That's not ADHD. @@JohnBanana Ever consider that teachers are trained how to deal with kids who don't want to pay attention? Personally I come to these videos to look at examples of how not to behave with students and find myself getting confused to see so many people sticking up for the teachers as if they didn't know what they signed up for. "I've said it on a few of these now, but it's important to remember teachers teaching at HS level and below are taught how to deal with kids not paying attention. When you take a bunch of young adults, developing, going through puberty etc and force them to learn a bunch of stuff 99% of them probably have no interest in, it's understandable that by default, when subjected to PowerPoints with bullet points, they'll get bored and unruly. It's not ideal, it'd be nice if every student was 100% fascinated by every subject from English Literature to Algebra, but that's just no the reality unless you teach at a vocational level (e.g. university). But you yourself only need to think back to when you were at school to realize what teachers followed the training well. What lessons you'd go into to be screamed at, all while the kids messed about and never paid attention, and then the lessons you'd go into where the teacher never even needed to raise his voice, yet everyone listened and nobody messed about. And I bet you whatever subject those kind of teachers taught, soon became your favourite subjects. Because that's what a good teacher does."
well for me I was in those special ed classes because I'm a really slow learner and next when I go to my normal classes I have like no clue whats going on so I'm scared to ask help
5:11 i feel bad. The teacher really loves his job but the kids are just so mean. Like I hate math but if I saw my teacher like that I would try to at least pass in some work that is decent. :(( hope he’s doing alright. Mr.Math Teacher.
Ever since i graduated in 2017, a lot of these kids don’t have respect for adults/teachers. You listen and respect them just like I would with your parents. Now some teachers take it unprofessionally and need to just quote if they don’t like job at all
@ForSanity 1 only dumbasses miss those years. you'll have difficult times but you will enjoy your academic career all the way through university if you choose to go that route. every time i find myself thinking about being in highschool or lower i'm reminded of all the jackasses and BS i had to put up with. if you actually care about your future you will surely enjoy it.
That first teacher felt like a punch in the gut. I’ve been yelled at for that *exact* sort of reason multiple times. I have ADHD and pretty bad anxiety which isn’t a good combo if you’re unable to keep up and are afraid of asking questions
0:30 Oh god I hate female teachers who scream at kids like that.. high pitched voice soundin like they got glass in their throat like go home n yell at your cats
Man as a woman literally almost every female teacher was fucking insufferable and weird. I really hope she wasn’t one of those teachers who says “let me know if there’s any questions” and then when there is none she gets an attitude and says “well I guess we understand everything!”
I remember one time one of my teachers yelled “SILENCE!” And then my friend and I both went “I keel you” and got in trouble. If you understand this you’re a legend
As a teacher, I like watching videos like this to remind myself not to get angry. Kids are going to be kids, and as long as they're not doing anything malicious, then there's nothing to get angry about. I've gotten angry before, but I've learned not to be like that. It's hard, but kids remember how you react to situations.
That’s why I always stayed quiet in all my classes . Especially being dyslexic. I used to have a lady with me to help me understand certain things my teacher was teaching us and one day she didn’t come so I was basically screwed and when I asked my teacher to help understand a word she said “ that’s not my job , that’s your helpers job. Next time pay attention “ and I was like 🥲🥲🥲
@@onethousandlostsouls Bruh. That teacher isn't a good teacher. It is a teacher's job to help pupils, especially those struggling with what they are supposed to be doing.
Don't forget that there are legitimate questions and questions that should no longer be asked at a certain point. For example, you're a math teacher and have just taught the class a new math formula. Then a student asks, "Do I divide or multiply when I get to this step of the formula?" That's a good question. You might have said it two or three times already, but you can tell that this student was trying to follow along and just asked for clarification. But if you have been using that formula every day for the last three months in your math class and a student asks what the formula is, you're going to be pretty upset because you'll want to know just what has that student been doing these last three months.
@@serialclone Or you can have a learning disability called dyscalculia like I do. You can teach me something about math all day long and I can sometimes do it with no help. But then again, I can also forget whatever it was within minutes, hours or days. Everyone has heard of dyslexia, but no one ever hears about dyscalculia. They just think you're dumb or lazy and not even trying. This kind of issue needs to be addressed and corrected. And while I completely understand that it can be frustrating to teachers, yelling and carrying on like that doesn't help anybody.
I dont think that he hates his job rather his students who are disrespectful, talking, playing in their phone or Not listend at all to what he trys to Teach them. He is frustrated.
I almost went into teaching when I was choosing my college major, but I decided to go into I.T. instead. I thank god every time I think about it, that I made that decision.

Imagine having many years of life experience under your belt and you’re trying to teach these know it all yet naive teens a thing or too. The problem is that life is fucking hard as dogshit (sometimes) but these youngsters want to walk on the devil’s land without a chance of survival.
Sometimes, I’m sure people don’t have such a large variety of choices when jt comes down to what career they can pick. Being a teacher isn’t too bad of a pay but if you have trouble dealing with children its going to suck. He may have not had so many choices therefore leading himself into the workforces of teaching.
When a bus driver gets up and yells at a kid, most of the time I can get behind that. Bus drivers got mad patience and if you break it you done some legit dumb ass shit to deserve that. Respect yo drivers kids.
"ARE questions that i JUST went over." bro, some people ask a question similar to what has been answered because they were either zoned out or really just want to clarify and make sure they got the memo. I have auditory processing disorder. Therefore it's dehumanizing to have teachers scream at you for "not paying attention" when some classroom environments are simply too chaotic to hear anything. Had a teacher yell at me in the exact same way once for asking questions and going around asking others near me to repeat what was being said, because I simply can't hear/process what's being said. I have never been disruptive and have always been at the too of my class. Luckily due to disability awareness in my school she got told off and I was allowed to switch classes. But god, these people are revolting
As an adult, who's only been out of school for 10 years, I can definitely see how teens can be annoying. The ungovernable rebel in me can also see why the teens act they way they do.
The second and last one I completly understand the anger of those teachers. "your job is an obligation to teach kids, if you dont like it, quit" that phrase would apply if the kids ACTUALLY respected them and learned. Being in that position anybody would've snapped if the person you're teaching ignores you, mistreats your classes, is a complete douche.

they need to have auxiliary training for teachers who decide to work in lower-class markets, in addition to providing armed security at those schools. No it wasn’t. He should’ve just told them once, “get up again and you’re off the bus”, and then when or if they got up again, follow through. Not get up in their face and yell at them. @@yougsa if he did that, he would've lost his job on the spot. Also leaving a child on the street without them knowing where to go is extremely dangerous. We live in a sick place where kidnapping never stops.
I'm a teacher and I feel like getting emotional, 90% or more of the time, you lose. Kids see you as weaker and learn they can manipulate you, and if you lose control you could say or do something you can't take back, risking your job and/or license. I try to maintain emotional constancy no matter what, of course we are all human and there are rare times where you can get pushed to that point, but you have to be very careful that you're showing emotion in a productive way and aren't just ranting or acting off the emotion
I think my mean ass would let them fail the class. Like I’d teach my stuff even if they won’t listen and after that I would pull up with an exam that is going to ruin them for sure and let them all get signed by their parents
That’s why I think that public education is a joke. You don’t see this type of behavior at a tuition based private school. And if you do, bye bye and away you go to whatever other school your parents can find. These kids who are this disrespectful must have a pretty bad home life, because if my child was acting that way, I’d rip them out of school and homeschool them. It’d be real tough at home until they proved to me that they are ready to act properly in a classroom/school and if they can’t, I’ll do it for as long as I need to. I have time and if I don’t, I will make time. Because I’m not going to allow my child be nasty and disrespectful towards a teacher who is doing me an honor by taking their time to educate my child.

Then your parents say “Ask the teacher if your having trouble” Trying to explain that they don’t do anything.
But if you have been using that formula every day for the last three months in your math class and a student asks what the formula is, you're going to be pretty upset because you'll want to know just what has that student been doing these last three months.

those kids will be on his side in 10 years.
When I was younger teenage boys annoyed the heck outta me and they still do as an adult.
That poor guy at the end. He seems so wholesome man.
4:15 😂😂😂😂 that one person whispering "yes mam"
My parents say they miss High school, but now that I have been graduated since 2019 I haven’t missed shit yet, I still have my friends, have a job, and I can do more thing then before.
The thing is, it does not matter if you miss it or not. It matters to get good GPA score to apply for good universities.
I graduated in 2015 and still get nightmares about it tbh
I left and switched to online school barely three months in my freshman year. I actually learned, grew, and don't miss a thing about regular public school either. Class of 2019 👍
High school can definitely be worse than college
Zen Ara Not worth it if you ask me
I’m weak aF 😂😂 the second clip was from my high school. For senior “prank” they absolutely destroyed the school
I feel so bad for that last teacher. He didn't even want to do it anymore because of the kids, he just wants some peace in his life.
the bus dude yelling at the kid was totally justified. standing up and moving on a bus can be super dangerous
Pretty much everyone always stood up on my school bus, double decker as well
No it wasn’t. He should’ve just told them once, “get up again and you’re off the bus”, and then when or if they got up again, follow through. Not get up in their face and yell at them. That type of crap can fully traumatize a kid. Ik that sounds dramatic, but teachers yelling at kids really feels completely different then any other person doing it.
@@yougsa it's illegal to let a kid off a bus unsupervised even if the bus is shut down and the kids house is just down the street.
@@yougsa if he did that, he would've lost his job on the spot. Also leaving a child on the street without them knowing where to go is extremely dangerous. We live in a sick place where kidnapping never stops.
@@yougsa if you follow through you need to apply for another job 🤣
Anyway, that is just my personal feelings on the matter.
@@theanon5906 Then you would get in trouble with the school. there is no winning for teachers.
@@Jocelyn_Jade that’s true they’ll get mad that you flunk too many students and that you’re a bad teacher
@@theanon5906 you can’t do that retard, maybe don’t become a teacher if you’re petty because that’s literally someone’s future.
