Hi Michelle, I love this video. It is nice to get to know you. Kitchen remodel sounds ummmmm, not to fun. I’m sure it will be beautiful when it is finished though. You taught me how to make vegan crab cakes. They are so good. I started my transition in 2016 and was fully vegan by 2017. I was born jaundice as a baby. Therefore, my digestion and absorption of food had always been in flux, so to speak. In my early 20’s I read a book by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond titled Fit for Life. That was the beginning way back the mid 80’s. I learned how different combinations of food had different digestive results etc… I was never a big animal eater. I always had issues with killing animals. I was raised in the country so I saw it every year. I found it interesting that you experienced depression when you would resume with eating animals. I am vegan for them as much as I am my health. It is a win win the way I see it. I save an animals life daily by being vegan. #haveaprettyday
@@lesliefloyd2585 thank you for your comment and feedback. I think for me the depression comes from poor digestion and I can’t seem to digest animal products. Your skin is fabulous radiant and healthy looking it just goes to show you are what you eat. Have you seen Dr Neil Barnard's videos advising on a vegan diet through menopause he is well worth watching and is plant based himself. As a vegan of 40 years myself this is the way I'll stay, feel cleaner lighter and sharper with an abundance of energy, I think this way of eating tunes you into nature, kindness to animals and respect for every living creature on earth. Live and let live. What about doing a skin care and make up video?
@@fanchonfrancis Great question! The main difference between a vegan diet and a vegetarian diet is the level of restriction when it comes to animal products: 1. Vegetarian Diet: • Vegetarians avoid meat, poultry, and fish but typically still consume other animal-derived products like dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt) and eggs. • Some vegetarians may also eat honey. 2. Vegan Diet: • Vegans eliminate all animal-derived products, including meat, poultry, fish, dairy, eggs, and even honey.
@@fanchonfrancis you're welcome. Vegan is not only a diet though, it is a lifestyle. We refrain from silk, leather, wool, feathers, animal gelatin, or anything that involves any sentient being commerced. While it could be hard to be 100%, it certainly is the goal. A vegan diet is a great start for those who wish to switch for good. The greenwashing of Animal Agriculture is outright denial and proof of greed and selfishness. Nothing is more polluting to our oceans than fishing industry. When we grow and eat local organic, we save on transport and fossil fuels. Thanks for asking. I really wasn't clear myself at first. Only wanted to do better once I knew better.
I never watched the documentary. Understanding your DNA could be the key to discovering the diet that’s best suited for you, whether it’s plant-based or otherwise. I went vegan for 30 days for more spiritual enlightenment. I felt really good. During that time, I was able to reconnect with my higher self, and discovered that I was born to be a vegetarian. As a child, I couldn't drink milk, and certain foods I couldn't eat. I would chew my food and go flush it down the toilet as young as 5yrs. I stayed skinny and often got sick because my family didnt have the knowledge that every child is different. Thank God I survived!!!
@@YamaraLoves omg…thank you for your comment. I too truly believe ours bodies are all different so we need to listen to our own bodies and treat it accordingly. Some people thrive on a carnivore diet others not so much. I’m here to share my recipes which i think we can all enjoy on either diet 🙏🏽🩵

Hello gorgeous, I have a similar carribean background. Do you speak Spanish as well?
@@GinaT8 unfortunately not fluently. Now i can understand pretty much. I really wish my mom and her family didn’t try to be so americanized they that they refused to speak any spanish when i was growing up. Thank goodness for my Puerto Rican friends 😂🙌🏽
@myvegankitchenlife Awww..I love my Puerto Rican friends. I get to practice my Spanish with some of them too. My Spanish is pretty good though...lol ❤️
Looooove this Q&A Sweetheart

You are beautiful. What is the difference between vegan and vegetarian? Are they the same?
Vegan does not include animal products. Vegetarian still does some.
@@fanchonfrancis Great question! The main difference between a vegan diet and a vegetarian diet is the level of restriction when it comes to animal products:
1. Vegetarian Diet:
• Vegetarians avoid meat, poultry, and fish but typically still consume other animal-derived products like dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt) and eggs.
• Some vegetarians may also eat honey.
2. Vegan Diet:
• Vegans eliminate all animal-derived products, including meat, poultry, fish, dairy, eggs, and even honey.
@@TheAnnaFisherokay thanks for the clarification 😊
@@myvegankitchenlife thanks for taking the time to answer my question; I have a much better understanding now. 😊❤️
