I live in Essex, just outside London and my peeve is people sharing tragic stories and focusing on drama. They do this partly because it makes them seem caring, but at its root is a type of victim mentality (the narrative invariably involves someone I neither know nor care about). They wish to induce a negative emotion in the interlocutor; misery loves company. I aggressively end the conversation as soon as they initiate this shit. I first got wind of this when I looked in a book shop and saw a section for 'heart-breaking stories'. What's heart-breaking is how utterly pathetic working/lower middle class Londoners/Essex people are. Losers who see failure as a virtue. This gloominess is a particularly London/Essex working class thing. Don't want to tar other counties with the same brush.
Hello AiB, I totally agree with your gripe. I haven't even been there (yet), and it is evident that the girls are excessively focused on their public image. I am all for people caring about what they look like, insofar as it relates to health, and also respect for others, but when it becomes obsessively egotistical it isn't edifying. For one thing, there is always an opportunity cost, and if they are so focused on what they look like it makes me wonder what else is in their heads. Never mind - no culture is perfect. At least it is relatively harmless.
I share your opinion, I am also aware of how much a new post on Instagram from a girl gets a lot of attention from men (probably one of them is the one she likes) if she gets him... definitely, she would achieve her mission in this life, which is a matter of survival

Yes entered belarus today. Because of the ukraine stamp on my passport i was taken to the next room and told to wait for 10 min. Then they asked if i know of any ukranian friends and asked to check my phone and laptop. Phone was ok except they pointed out my Tinder has no matches then comes the porn on the laptop, 4 cops watched 1 as young as 19 i could tell by the giggles. They asked if i came for young belarussian girls. Arrg
I do not know Belarus and neither I plan to visit. As a Caribbean person, I do think that there are better European countries worth visiting than Belarus. It seems to me, based on my experience with a few Belarusian women, they tend to portray themselves as something they are not. That type of mentality drives me nuts. I also do not see compassion in the interaction with men.
You don't know Belarus but you think other European countries are better even though you don't know them either? Why? And how being a Caribbean person affects a rating of a European country? And what is a Caribbean person? A Bajan from a Cruxan is quite different.
@@evelynwalker1998 what makes you think that I do not know other European countries? This is an open world. You will be amazed to realize how much I know about other European countries, especially Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, and my favorite one SPAIN

Drive silenty your favorite countries.
Resentment towards Belarusian girls who rejected you.
@@yvesderival634 Well then, why not list some pros and cons of the countries you mentioned? That would have value.
Big difference between 'tall poppy' attitudes alive in the Anglo countries and Belarus.

You gotta renew your visa every year basically, you can buy a small flat or something
They don't even like coffee!!!!
Maybe they just don't like you?)
