I was amazed to find you a native Russian speaker, because I know how difficult English (no less the RP dialect) is to master. Your pronunciation and dialect are spot-on! You pull off difficult words like "situation" without pause. I wish I could write/speak as clearly as you do, your diction is fantastic! Katsiaryna, If you were my daughter I would be very very proud of you. Thank you for giving me and others the opportunity to see, learn and feel your country and culture.
The current conflict is not because of regular people like you and your family or myself and my family, but if this escalates we will all feel and harbour the pain and difficulties of war.
Whatever happens I hope you and your family can stay safe and continue to live as you choose.... its a beautiful natural life that I very much admire and strive for. The skills you are putting into practice are very important and will probably become even more important in the future.
I too, like to be close to the earth, garden, farm and also wildcraft. I collect, process and market many wild products ie: food and medicines, from Canada's vast forests. This is a lifestyle choice where I feel most comfortable.
I see that same connection in you with the natural elements!
I would love to see more of your family in your videos. How they have helped create who you are.... they must be very proud.
Another thing I would like to see more of is the processing of products you grow, and how you preserve them for future use.
There are many different parts of Canada that I see as very similar with Belarus, you would probably feel very comfortable here.
There seems to be many like minded people here on your channel, I hope thru them we can explore common ground.
I hope that one day I can come visit your country and people.

Everywhere in Europe and the world things are counted monthly, except Britain. Everywhere in Europe British English is the standard, but school English doesn't go far. I am a freelance tutor myself in Japan and grew up in forests and country side. Yes being objective is the clue and it is a blessing to be able to source in different languages. English language media tends to be very ignorant, biased and serving itself....

Hello Katsiaryna, Shout out from your fellow English Teachers! I recently found your channel and find it really peaceful and uplifting to watch. I teach a lady from Minsk, my favorite student in fact! and the other day showed her your Victory Day video, it was interesting to learn about Minsk and your country a bit. We were both wondering about your accent and thinking you must have studied English to a high level and/or be an English Teacher, and then hey presto! you made this video! :))). Thank you for your answers and your inspiring stories and tourism of your country. Keep smiling and keep safe.

Hi Catherine ! Greetings from India ! 🇮🇳 Thanks for introducing yourself to your channel viewers. Your fluency in English and typical British accent shows how much efforts you must have put into mastering the language. Your achievement is outstanding !
Your videos introduce a very less known part of Europe to the world. I like the pristine landscapes and simple rustic Belarusian lifestyle shown by you, which is rare these days, especially in Europe. Your videos are mostly related to gardening. I would like to see more about Nature, Environment of Belarus as well as culture and lifestyle of Belarusian people in your future videos. I hope, you and your family are safe from the conflict that has been happening close to your country. 💐

Amazing how you learned by yourself, to speak English flawlessly, despite as I understand, that English language is apparently uncommon in your country. . This is unlike Bangalore, India where almost every person speaks fluent English and knows one or more local languages too. Here we even have all boards and signs in English

Great video. Thanks. Just a couple of quick questions. For people like myself who can't speak a word of your native tongue, have you thought of organising a tour and being a guide to some of the places you've shown in your videos? I know many of us would be willing to pay you generously to be our tour guide, because we are so ignorant about Belarus. Also, how often do you travel to Western Europe or England? Obviously now is not the time to do these things, because of the current difficulties, but that won't last forever. Perhaps some time in the future. Noticed one of my questions on this Q&A.😊

@@KatsiarynaTerehova I know something about Patreon and had been involved in marketing other RUclipsr's on that platform. Given your RUclips subscriber level, I'd estimate your likely income at USD$600 to USD$700 per month minimum. I know you didn't start your channel to make money. However, given the current situation, it could be a lucrative income source, given that the English tutoring has dropped off? One of the things I was impressed with from this video was your comment on being "resourceful", this could be a resourceful way to make more money. There would be a challenge or two, given your country is not on PayPal, but there are alternatives.

I was born in the U.K. in 1936 and lived there until 1982 and now live in Australia so I was very surprised to hear that you had not studied in the U.K. but wanted to speak English as spoken in the U.K., as you would appreciate American English is a mutilation of the English Language.
When I started to listen to you speak English(this is the second of your Documentaries I have watched) I was sure your accent was of an upper class English without any tinges of one of the many regional dialects in the U.K. ( That used to be referred to as speaking with a "Plum in one's mouth" or "born with a silver spoon in one's mouth" (Please do not take umbrage as my comments are complimentary to your clean and clear pronunciation) , then upon listening for a longer period when I could detect what appeared to be slight U.K. regional dialects. One word which may have been due the sound track, was when you pronounced the word Dollar that reminded me of a mature Greek who's English was picked up in the work place and with other Greeks who used to take a slight pause between the two syllables ie Dol-lah.
Katsiaryna your English is remarkable ... if you had learnt your English in the U.S. I would have picked it within 30 seconds.
I served in the Military in Singapore back in the 1950's and round about 2008 I had written about a particular Singaporean that I had met during my Service, I then received an email from another Singaporean who mentioned that one of his work colleagues would like to contact me as that 'person' was her Grandfather, so I gave my permission for her to have my email address, she wrote to me in very good English and immediately I knew she had learnt her English in America, I wrote to her and in passing I asked where she studied in the U.S., she replied most surprised and asked how I knew she had studied in the U.S. ... I said it was due to one word when she referred to her Mother as Mom and not Mum.
It is fortunate that you did not learn English from me as my accent was established as living in and around London in what was known as the Home Counties and is quite common.
I totally agree with you about the senseless carnage inflicted on Ukraine, because all that Ukraine wanted was Freedom .... and "Freedom is constant Vigilance".
Keep enjoying life and remain focused on your dream!.

Thank you for letting me know about some peculiarities of the variant of English I speak. Sometimes I truly have no idea what it is and what I want to do with it. I really try to listen closely to everyone and everything I watch as it is the only source of reaching to what I want my English be like. There is still so much I want to change about the way I speak and what I say as a non-native. Initially I really wanted to break the stereotype that you need to live in the English speaking country to be well articulate and master the language. Many of my students would give up learning English here just knowing about it as if it is something impossible. I think I managed to convince them but sometimes I have this temptation to travel to the UK and see how I will be able to adapt, just of pure curiosity, well, and at least to hear spoken English (meaning a dialect) in person but not through various media, headphones and stereo systems. I may say that is something I truly lack, this face to face aesthetics.

Katsiaryna, please look into No-Dig Gardening and Permaculture Soil-Building methods, even perhaps Hugelkultur. These methods could help you and your neighbours build soil up above the radioactive contamination layer. Raised beds could help minimise the costs.
Perhaps a government imitiative to distribute uncontaminated compost to homesteaders?
