It’s crazy how simple some things are that we would pay possibly $200 for if it wasn’t for RUclips 😅 I literally put this off cuz I thought I would have to take the door off. Did this with a butter knife and 3 minutes 🤣

@@mikecamera818 do you have any idea where to find an orange lit one? Mine ended up being white in color so at night it looks off
@@TheBrokeBoyMycologist this is the one I bought. The part number has changed slightly though. The plastic under my buttons is white instead of black like my original switch, but nobody will ever notice. It lights up orange like the rest of my interior switches.

What would've cost several hundred dollars to change at MB, ended up being $30 as my first DIY fix on my glc300. THANK YOU!

Did you watch the video with sound? I talk about gently prying it out, starting at the top because the bottom has a tab that holds it in.

@@mikecamera818 man yeah I hope it’s going to be that easy. Had a car detailer literally wrecked eight out of 12 buttons just had to buy replacement modules for every single door.

Hi Mike, I am trying to follow all the directions but I cannot pull out the switch, it just seems that it's really in there and something is holding it. Can there be a screw somewhere holding it on some models ? I got the C63. Any idea ? Thank you!
In my video I show how there's a hook on the bottom, so you have to pry the top up first. The switch kind of sticks to the leather around it, so I had to pull up a little harder to get it free. I doubt there's a screw holding it. Pretty common that the switches just push into the door for most auto makers.
@@mikecamera818 It finally worked. Thank you. I just needed to push a bit harder and I had to get a better prying tool. I was afraid to break stuff so I didn't push as hard last time I tried. Thanks again! Awesome video!

My clip doesnt stay in and keeps popping off
Nothing is broken but works fine but worried it might come off after I push it into the door
That could make for an annoying rattle in the door. I guess just double check your work and that the clips are engaging. Make sure they're not cracked. It may not be obvious or fully broken, but even a cracked part might not stay engaged.
My e63s has a switch a little sticky, they quoted me 605..
Wow! My part cost me less than $150 and the install took 5 min.

This just shows how to replace your broken switches. If your window still doesn't work it may be a blown fuse or dead window motor. You'll have to dig deeper.

can you show how you popped out the switch assembly which is the most inportant part of the whole repair , what you are showing is worthless
Usually people don't insult the person they're asking help from... but we'll pretend you're frustrated and not just rude to everybody.
To remove the whole assembly from the door, I talk about prying one side up before the other. Because there's a tab that holds the assembly in, that has to slide out. You can also see it in the video when I reinstall the new assembly.
To remove the switches from the bezel, there are several tabs around the middle you have to gently pry to release. Also shown in my video when I install the bezel onto the new switches.
