    Just broke my front Yota 2 axle shaft, 3 total hours of run time, replacement parts no where to be found.
    Based on your recommendations a set of BRX90s are on their way! Thank you!!

    Thank you for your time. This video is the one that got me to purchase a set of BRX 90s a quick question. My pinion angle keeps changing especially on the front axle. I’m running leaf springs but I’m also running longer bolts with locknuts. I don’t think it’s gotten to the point to where the splines have worn but I’m not sure exactly how to tie dye need to make these, so they won’t spin.

    Very good thorough comparison. Can tell you really know what your talking about. I thought they both looked good but it was good to hear you explain the differences.

    The Boom axles are extremely strong. Jason tested(as in beat the snot out of) the Badass Axles along with the LC70 2-speed with high kv brushless on 4s. I seen videos. He really wanted something that wouldn't have problems. I believe they are way stronger than Axial stuff.
    Stainless(regardless of hardness of the medal) should never be used in anything that see twisting forces.
    I run the BRX70's on my Trailfinder's then for the extra width I use the 90's conversion. That way I can tuck-in the dually's when i want a one-ton look.
    Oh...the high-pinion on the BRX70'S and 90's give the rig a much better driveshaft angle....and the extra steering and gear choices over the Trailfinder axles is awesome.
    Awesome video as always.

      I definitely agree. I also agree with the stainless. Alot of people think stainless is better but drivelines is definitely not the place for it. The stainless boom used is comparable I would say to the stock yota2 axle quality so I couldn't knock it that bad lol. As always thanks for watching my friend. I always appreciate your feedback and info.

    What is the difference between the brx70s and 90s. Great information on thiese axles too thanks

    • @axletwisterrc4526
      @axletwisterrc4526  3 года назад

      BRX70 axles are just more narrow than the BRX90. With that said the axle shafts are shorter in the BRX70 than the 90s so they are not interchangeable. They both use the same AR44 ring and pinion.

    For the scale phat v2 whats the size of the sealed bearing?
    And you have idea if possible to flip the ring gear on the rear axle planning to use reverse rotation.
    And on the front axle is there a overdrive gear for that scale phat v2 axle?
    Ar44 overdrive is possible to use?
    Please advise.
    Nice head to head review of boomracing axles👌

      I will have a video out shortly answering all your questions. You beat me to it lol. We are going to get extremely deep with axle info on it😉. Thanks for watching!

    • @axletwisterrc4526
      @axletwisterrc4526  4 года назад

      The sealed bearing in the video is 5x11. What axle are you wanting to know about flipping the rotation on? The V2 does not have a overdrive option. On the BRX90 axle all options for the AR44 so you can definitely overdrive it. Sorry I wanted to have my video out by now but time hasn't allowed. I wanted to get back with this info so you had it.

    Just wondering if you know what ring and pinion the phat axle takes? Is it an axial part or original boom racing design?

    • @axletwisterrc4526

      Hello,
      These are the ring and pinion gears sets i run in every rig i have that utilizes an Axial style ring and pinion.
      This one I use in the front. On many of my rigs. If you are getting overdrive from the transmission you need to figure out your FDR on the front axle before just throwing it in as to much overdrive puts a strain on the motor and esc.

      This is the standard ratio that comes factory in the phat axles. I run it in the rear of all my Axial axle based rigs.

      No BRX axles have a different setup all together and the best of my knowledge has no portals that will bolt directly to them.
