The Dixieland RC BMF35PHV True Spec servo! Full details including all internals. #DixielandRC #Servo
This servo is best at home paired with your favorite RTR rig or trail rig. At $34.95 this servo checks a ton of boxes. A huge difference between this servo and many other servos on the market is the honest 3rd party testing. While many servos put out numbers on the package that are later found on the higher than what is achievable this servo was 3rd party tested then released with those numbers. The servo is a rebrand just like the majority of other servos, the difference is the customer support available from Dixieland Rc. it's honesty at its finest.

Great comprehensive video! Will you please share a list of all the A&M parts installed on this truck? Getting my first Rc4wd truck this weekend, super excited. Also what drive shafts are those?
Just wondering if you know what ring and pinion the phat axle takes? Is it an axial part or original boom racing design?
Hello, These are the ring and pinion gears sets i run in every rig i have that utilizes an Axial style ring and pinion. This one I use in the front. On many of my rigs. If you are getting overdrive from the transmission you need to figure out your FDR on the front axle before just throwing it in as to much overdrive puts a strain on the motor and esc. dixielandrc.com/Boom-Racing-Heavy-Duty-Keyed-Bevel-Helical-Overdrive-Gear-24-8T-Differential-Locker-Set-for-BRX70-BRX90-AR44-AR45-Axles-BR955040-p294407043 This is the standard ratio that comes factory in the phat axles. I run it in the rear of all my Axial axle based rigs. dixielandrc.com/Boom-Racing-Heavy-Duty-Keyed-Bevel-Helical-Gear-30-8T-for-Scx10-2-Axles-BR955020-p114361545 I hope this is helpful for you. Please let me know if you have any other questions or need more details. Best Regards
Thank you. I hope they fit I’m gonna have to bite the bullet as I do not own any axial axles.
@@HighhScore these will fit the ar44 phat axle. They will not work for the older ar60 style phat axles.
Great videos but there is some wrong information in it just so you and every1 else stops giving wrong info to ppl STOP using blue lock tight it is the wrong thread lock ppl need to stop using it read the bottle it come in ita for larger bolts when you learn to use the right tread lock never have a problem . The right stuff to use is purple low strength buy purple thread lock ppl for rc cars !!!!!! Also The boom racing drive shafts are horrible junk for this build and the reason why is that my drive shaft is made to where i can not get the pins in line for fazing shafts its made to where u can not install them right also another big problem with boom racing shaft is the pin is smaller then it should be creating alot of slop in drive line its because the pin that installs drive shaft is like a 1.5mm pin and the right one to get rid of slop is a 2mm pin like the vanquish axles have in them that size pin will get rid of the slop add a boom racing shaft with its baby 1.5mm pin and shaft will be lose on both sides when spinning it with both side install pins being smaller then they should be adds the sloppy lose drive line i guess if you like it sloppy lose use the boom racing shafts it will keep you nice and sloppy lose in you drive line this info is real coming from some1 that has actually installed and used all parts and giving correct info I would not even want to know how much of a sloppy joke mess the drive line would be if all 3 shafts where changed to boom racing i only used the small one to the tranfer case and it adds so much slop makes my drive line all messed up especially on steap down or up hill that horrible boom racing shaft will make truck move some now it will not hold a perfect drag brake like all other shafts will that have the right size install pin in them
@drowildcat2960 lol, yes, purple works! I don't talk about purple in any of my videos, but maybe 1. The fact is I dont see it readily available in my local stores, so i just dont bring it. Blue is readily available and if applied correctly has 0 negative impact. In 30 years of using it on rc products and having 0 stripped screws or negative impact from using it is my favorite. It is readily available, and a very small amount does the job perfectly and unscrews with ease. The reality is multiple options exist that work and do the job. The quality of tools used plays a huge role in ones experience. I guess we shall agree to disagree 😉. For the BoomRacing driveshafts, you may want to verify what boom racing shafts you are using. Mine have 2mm pins in them, lol. They have no play whatsoever. They are comparable to Vanquish shafts. Make certain you are getting the badass shafts not the cheaper version. In fact I have 3 boom badass driveshafts on my tf2. The pin diameter measured is 2.40mm with a digital caliper . I sincerely have 0 play in all my boom driveshafts. I don't have a horse in the race so I dont care if Vanquish or Boom is better. In this case they are comparable and the measurements of the pin diameter you are giving is just not accurate to real testing. To be factual on all the pins in universals of the Boom Racing badass line of driveshafts all measure over 2mm the large pin in the universal measures 3.78mm and the smaller universal pin measures 2.55mm. I sincerely think you do not have the badass driveshaft and instead have what they call Voodoo driveshafts. A major quality difference exists between the two different driveshafts. Make certain you are measuring the pin diameter, and not just going by the hex head. The hex head on the boom is 1.5mm, this is to get the scale appearance while the Vanquish is 2mm. This has no bearing on strength or play of the pin. The pin diameter making contact through the output shafts are the SAME diameter. Thank you for watching and sharing feedback!
Nice run
Hell yeah 🤘
Awesome video
Hey there! - I have 2 questions for you...1 - What did you use for your ultra short steering link? it's about 50mm in length? 2 - Im still on the fence about BR AR44 Phat axles like urself or BR BRX90's....I also want to perform a motor clock like you...any pros/cons that you can see with either choice??
I am sorry about this delayed response. The advantage to the BRX90 is you won't need to purchase leaf mounts separately. The 90s also offer a closer to stock pin to pin width that allows more wheel options to maintain a width if that matters. The Ar44 setup does have an advantage of better shock mount location and my personal opinion they are better comp axles. Other than that all positives really do support the BRX90 axles. The motor clock is a great mod. It has no cons as long as you switch to the short length link. Here is a link to well, the link lol. rcaddict.com/products/tf2-brass-steering-link-kit-53mm
I watched this video today as I did my skid plate installation - gold!! TY very much :)
Thank you for watching along!
I noticed you have clocked your motor with a center diff. I'm installing SSD Diamond Pro 44 axles in mine....do you think I'll have any Clerance issues when dropping the motor? I also plan on changing the steering link to the right side like yours.
Hello, Funny you mention the diamonds as I'm actually currently running them. I will put a picture up in the discussion section so you can see. With the motor clock, any center pumpkin axle you run will have a little rubbing at full compression between the transmission housing and the driveshaft. The rubbing can be reduced depending on the drivshaft used. I recommend the BoomRacing badass or Vanquish deivshafts and set them up so the narrow part(hex shap) is near that section of transmission. In the picture I will post up I still haven't corrected my driveshaft. I need to shorten the female driveshaft side for more clearance. Honestly the rubbing is expected and really doesn't diminish anything performance or reliability wise. I have been doing it for years lol.
Thanks for this - good tip for the driveshaft...also are you happy with the SSD diamonds? I know SSD also make an offset axle (with the metal tubes and axle shafts) I wonder if it could be adapted to have the pumpkin on the left??@@axletwisterrc4526
Lol we are on the same wavelength. I just literally posted the picks and mentioned the offset trail king axle assembly as a potential option.
Honestly SSD are not my favorite. They are nice and do a decent job but I have had failures on the metal tubes and failures on the plastic where the screws hold the tube in place.
Haha funny that - great minds! But these Diamonds are just until I can find a set of Rock Jocks :)...or I could settle for F9 scx10 ii straight axles. @@axletwisterrc4526
Thank you so much for this video! I just picked up a Gen8 and I am planning to do some upgrades to modernize it's geometry and improve it's performance. This was very helpful in showing me what I can expect from a Trailmaster 21T
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your time. This video is the one that got me to purchase a set of BRX 90s a quick question. My pinion angle keeps changing especially on the front axle. I’m running leaf springs but I’m also running longer bolts with locknuts. I don’t think it’s gotten to the point to where the splines have worn but I’m not sure exactly how to tie dye need to make these, so they won’t spin.

What axles do you run, and do you sell them? Thanks for sending those parts today!
Hello Steven, In terms of axles I have run the stock Yota2, BoomRacing phat AR44 and SSD Diamonds housings. They all have pros and cons to them. For the parts and selling stuff I think you have me confused with someone else. I don't run a store or sell anything. I just love tiny trucks and helping where I can.
Nice!
Thanks!
I am a builder, but I still purchased one (number 002) and absolutely love it. It's a very capable rig at a good price point.
That's great to hear!

Great video my friend!!
Thanks for watching!
Doing this couldn't possibly be any more unnecessary! In fact, you would run a high risk of compromising the integrity of the connections. 😳
In fact everything done in this video is provided as written instructions on Castles website. It just works and has never caused negative effects. Not doing this has proven to infact cause issues, especially when using in water. I am actually way more cautious in this video than needed. Castle had a extra section for this on the website now they just list it in the FAQ section. You can find it using the link below. It is #12 last paragraph. support.castlecreations.com/mamba-monster-x-faq-2
*Very cool*
Thanks for watching!
Is that the 540L motor
No this was the first generation of Hobbywing Axe. It was only offered in a standard. The L came later on as the next generation.
Thanks for the video man. I just bought one. Hay one more question, can you tell me what shocks those are on your rig and were to get um? Thanks buddy
In this video they are the Axial SCX10.2 kit ICON II shocks. Axial 10.3 90mm shocks are what I currently have on it.
I just ordered a Marlin Crawler so I’m trying to find out as much as I can on how to improve its performance. My only other hard body is a C2X so it cheats with the link suspension. Thanks for any info you can share. I’m definitely scribed to your channel now.
I have a hard time just wiring up one esc. Lol. So how do you control the extra esc in your receiver? Are the two extra tied together battery wise and then the motor leads is what goes to your winches? Sorry so many questions but when you took the body off I had to know how all that works together.
Yes all the ESCs pull power from the same battery. The winch ESCs use a thinner gauge wire that is easier to hide and manage.
-Great "package deal" by (DIXIE LAND RC) ... He has good insight on what to create with bodies & parts combinations !!! 👍 ... No, I don't advertise "for him", but now I look like a hypocrite !!! 😆✌️ - But I would buy this package-RTR, although I already have my KIT version, Gmade (GS02F), and I'm super happy !!!! 😁
Took the fan off now esc doesn't have throttle. Thanks!
The fan has absolutely nothing to do with throttle control or arming the esc. Make certain you didn't bump your throttle trim on the radio because if the esc can't 0 the throttle, it won't arm. The only possibility beyond that would be if you pulled on the fan white plug without holding the plastic on both sides. It's very unlikely you moved the main harness enough to disconnect things but its a good idea for you to check. If you removed the main plug that is black and has the receiver wires, fan wires and on off switch wires please verify you put it back in the correct direction. All I can assure is any throttle input issue can't be caused by the fan not being plugged in. Please let me know if you would like any further info.
@@axletwisterrc4526 for some reason it was the Bluetooth link, basically bricked the esc.
Thanks for the information 👍
Fantastic video. Just received this part and was looking for information on installation. Between this and the A&M Garage instructions I'm all set. Thank you!
Thanks for viewing and the feedback!
Why the clickbait lmao
No clue what clickbait you are referring about tbh.
@@axletwisterrc4526 “do not try this on your rig!”
Not click bait at all. I was asked to make multiple warnings about putting the leaf springs through that kind of test. Wasn't my idea😉.
@@axletwisterrc4526 oh I see. Sorry man😂
No worries lol. Trust me I have no intrest in click bait. I'm not driven by subscribers numbers or bringing new subscribers. I literally dont even share my own RUclips unless i have a solution to a specific problem that is better explained in a video format. I am however driven by the want to help people in this hobby. I hope people new or old discover awnsers to a question or at the least a different perspective.

Love your vids, they really have been the most helpful in regards to modding the TF2. I just picked up a marlin, and was interested in your thoughts on the zbox and revolver shackle setups. Very interested in hearing your thoughts. Thanks!
Hello David, First off thanks for the feedback on the videos. My thoughts on the zbox and revolver shackles is it just isn't my thing. Please only take this as my personal perspective. It is important that you do as you want and what you would enjoy. I never want to say only 1 way should be done. No right or wrong exits in with these tiny trucks until we get into backwards wiringof electronics etc. One main reason why I don't get into them is im just not into flex as all. I like a well planted and predictable truck. Equal to that reason is I also like to beat the hell out of my truck and using the mentioned parts can add the opportunity for failure in a increase of broken leaf springs as well as the option parts themselves. Please make your rig your own and experiment. Enjoy the hobby! I'm always here if you need any assistance.
@@axletwisterrc4526 I appreciate you taking the time to reply! For now I’ve just taken the internal springs out of the shocks and the smallest leaf spring. I’m going to drive the hell out of it and only mod slowly overtime, but I’m having a blast as is. PS it’s also cool how you involve your son in the UTSE vid, mine are a little too young 3.5 and 2 so they would think they are toys, but I definitely want to take them since we’re here in FL. Thanks for the vids, I’ve learned a ton.
I just got a new TF2 Midnight Edition...My transfer case is stock, but I noticed I can flip the whole case upside down and have the intermediate shaft come out and going straight out to the rear driveshaft, and the front driveshaft is coming out the same side as the intermediate shaft. And the mounting holes are pointing up. Do you think I can get the A&M mount and it'll fit okay? I want the transfer case to be more realistic since in real life this is how the shafts are lined up.
By flipping the case and having it the way you are talking this will work with the A&M Garage metal skid/transfer case kit. However and let me caution you on this it will put the truck in a heavy overdrive configuration that most likely your motor and esc will not like. It will create alot of heat.
@@axletwisterrc4526 I didn't have to move any of the shaft/gears around, just flip the housing upside down, so it shouldn't be overdriven, should it? all 3 still spin at the same speed.
As soon as you put the intermediate shaft on the same side as the rear you will have overdrive on the original shaft that use to be where the intermediate shaft was. This happens because the original shaft (single output) served as the transmission input and the tcase used gear reduction to turn the double output shaft slower. If you look in the t-case in my video you will see the gears are not the same size. Anytime the gears get larger or smaller even by a tooth or 2 a gear ratio change is happening. When all the gears are the same size no gear ratio change has occurred. As soon as the intermediate shaft goes on this particular tcase to the double shaft side whatever you put on the single output side will be overdrive.
Really is a nicely assembled rig for sure. You should offer the body mounting sliders and all hardware required to mount this to the Gmade chassis I would be inclined to purchase that option but I already have a Gamde chassis. I'd imagine lot of people would definitely be interested in that option also, either way great job, just wish price point was little better. Thanks for sharing 👍
That might be an option down the road.

Hi there. What happens if you dont shave the transfer case axles? I heard some people didnt have to shave it off with the incision drive shafts. Thanks
Hello Lui, I have done many builds for people and every single T-Case I have done needed some sort of removal. Its easy to tell if yours will need it. Just look down inside the universal and verify if the input shaft clears. Make certain to move the drivdhaft to the angle it will see while running. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I am always happy to help.
Thank you! Will check. I ordered some file anyways so ill shave it off to make sure. Do you still have your tf2? Hope we see more tf2 content! You have some of the best tf2 tutorials out there. 👍
