    It worked for me. I chewed two pieces of Xylitol gum for about 3 mins duration after my coffee, lunch, and dinner. Making sure I didn’t drink or snack on anything for an hour afterwards. Have been doing this for the past 2 months… my mandibular left first bicuspid tooth cavity disappeared. ❤ Doc

    Dr. Rhonda Patrick talked on Joe Rogan how she reversed 2 major cavities she had when she was pregnant simply by eating xylitol gum all day long during her pregnancy. Her dentist was shocked that they healed completely.
    In fact, she also stopped using flouride toothpaste as she was afraid of using it while pregnant. Xylitol can be powerful when used throughout the day.

      Sounds like a very conscientious mum.
      The thing about flouride is that it displaces the structures our body naturally remineralises with, and places FLUOR-apatite there- in that way, we become unknowingly dependent on fluoride bc our natural food intake does deliver anywhere like the amount added to municipal waters in many countries

    Whoever reads this: Try Oil pulling !! It's cheap and it WORKS. I mean it, please try it!!
    I recently started to do it and my teeth already got whiter, my cavaties are decreasing and all the dirt and built up from my teeth is going away!
    Use sesame oil or coconut oil( I use sesame oil) and flush it through your mouth for 10-15 minutes at least 2× everyday.
    I promise you, it works!!!
    There are a lot of videos that show you how to do it,too. And there are tons of comments that proof my point! Do NOT listen to dentist, they only want your money and feel threatend by this (bc you will not need a dentist after doing oil pulling EVER.)

    • @worlore1651
      @worlore1651 3 месяца назад +30

      There's alot of steps. Starts with saliva and it's PH. After you eat or drink your saliva becomes acidic. When saliva is at its base it will remineralize your teeth. During night, pregnancy, other circumstances it also becomes acidic. Xylitol after eating and eating in a relatively small window or small windows. And also brushing twice a day. It takes 12 hours for plaque to harden so somewhere around there you want to brush. Use closys mouthwash before brushing. It will also make the ph lower because if you brush after eating you Can damage your enamel from the acid in your mouth. Then brush with fluoride. Then use listerine original or coolmint then use act restoring fluoride mouthwash. Learn to brush properly. Watch a video on either electric or mechanical toothbrushes. Flossing is fine but the listerine and closys should do the flossing for you. Her system uses those two things to get between teeth and under gums so you don't have to use floss if you don't want to because if you already have gum disease, receding gums, pockets. Flossing too much or too aggressively can make it worse.

      Mouth health is like a teeter totter. It tips back and forth. You’ve tipped it to the side of damage if you are experiencing cavities. Now you have to tip it in the opposite direction. The speed of tipping it will depend on lots of things that are outside of my control - like your diet, if you breathe through your mouth, how often you eat and drink etc.
      My system of care and the use of Xylitol gives you a number of powerful tools to help you tip the balance of your oral health.
      But the speed at which you tip this teeter totter is up to you
      There’s no magic. It’s natural processes and science.
      So it’s important for you to follow the directions and learn a little bit about how your habits and what you eat and drink harm your teeth.

I understand there are many factors, but if all the factors are aligned in the right direction, can a cavity be reversed that is in the dentin? If the infection heals and the enamel grows over the hole, will there always be a mark on an X-ray? I just learned I have a shallow cavity into my dentin on the side of a front, bottom tooth. @@dr.elliephillips I’ve noticed that my mouth doesn’t feel wet after using xylitol (Zellies or granules). It feels dry, especially after Zellies gum. This has me wondering if the (original) producer of xylitol has gotten their ingredient mixed up. I asked for a copy of the X-ray. With my limited knowledge, it appears she was right. Also, I was careful to tell them I was just going in for an X-ray and that if I needed treatment, I’d go elsewhere where my insurance is accepted. So, they didn’t have a reason to misdiagnose me for money. Also, she told me I didn’t necessarily need a filling in certain teeth another dentist had recommended (ie a hole in a filling). If I’m going to get a filling, I’ll spend money out of pocket to see a bio-minmetic dentist. Meanwhile, I’m hoping the cavity will heal by increasing the routine to 3x a day. I’m definitely cavity prone (like 20 fillings), but I’ve been conscientious to use xylitol after every bite/sip. And I’ve been sure to use the rest of the protocol. The only thing I can’t do is go without food in the afternoon. The tooth with the cavity is next to a tooth that is semi-loose due to braces pushing my teeth out of the gums. I’ve had a bonded wire behind those teeth for a year as a way to avoid wearing Invisalign at night. It could be poor blood circulation because of the nearby loose tooth…? (Gum grafting for one tooth is $4,000.) Or it could be because I have stoped routinely flossing, trying to follow your routine. Frankly, I am going to floss more because of this.

      Just buy a bag of xylitol crystals and dilute it in water. You got yourself a mouthwash which can be swirled around between the teeth.

    • @dr.elliephillips
      @dr.elliephillips  Год назад +23

      A cavity is created by cavity-forming bacteria in your mouth. Regular small amounts of xylitol/Zellies mints (Amazon) at the end of meals and before sleeping at night - can get rid of these bacteria and will feed and establish healthy good bacteria in your mouth. Using a good oral care routine twice or x3 daily is also essential ( ALWAYS last thing before sleeping at night). Good oral care products will stimulate the process of natural healing - by helping minerals from your saliva to go into your tooth to rebuild the missing minerals and harden up any weak areas. Check out the system and products I recommend at my website DrEllie.com - where I have a free downloadable booklet and also links to products and a video bootcamp if you want more of the science and info behind how this occurs.

      Is there hope for healing cavities between the teeth that are causing sensitivity?

    • @dr.elliephillips
      @dr.elliephillips  Год назад +6

      @@erintrospectiveb7690 Absolutely! These are actually some of the easiest cavities to heal. I’d be interested to know how long you have had them. You can determine this by remembering when you last had an x-ray.
      Most cavities, take at least three or more years to form into a condition where they are beyond natural repair. So let’s take the example that you had an x-ray three years ago, and these cavities were not present. This would mean that you have an excellent chance of reversing them very easily.
      Let’s take the worst example that you have not had an x-ray in 10 years - so you really don’t know when these began to form. Now you are experiencing sensitivity from them when you eat or drink.
      First assess if the sensitivity lasts for longer than two minutes. If it does, then there is a probable chance that the nerve inside these teeth will eventually die. If the sensitivity lasts for less than two minutes, get on my program as soon as possible and monitor the sensitivity. If you find a sensitivity has gone within a week then you are in pretty good shape for turning things around. As mentioned, if these cavities have been there for longer than three years, you may eventually need some kind of filling - but I would use my complete mouth care system for at least 3 to 6 months before any filling - providing that sensitivity diminishes at the end of the week.
      So what is the worst case scenario? That the sensitivity occurs for longer than two minutes every time you eat and drink, and it does not get better when you start using my complete mouth care system. In this case, you need to go and see an endodontist or dentist and have the treatment they prescribe.
      Please let me know the end of your personal story - I am hoping that in one week you will get this under control, and that by following directions, you will reverse these interproximal cavities before your next dental appointment.
      I can help you decide whether or not to agree to a filling if you are trying to reverse them
