I love shooting great games, and I can handle shooting good games, but I hate shooting bad games. Missed spares are the difference between good and bad games. Great tip!
Me, too. Last season I literally missed 14 700's because of a few missed spares. Turned out to be 670's-690's. So far this league I have missed three 700's.
You're so right. I missed cashing by 3 pins last weekend and had a few spares that I chopped. I will try this weekend. Thank you for all of your tips..
I call that release the lobster claw. Didn't know for sure if indeed it was a suitcase release but have wondered. Thanks for the video its validating. Also didn't know it that was the correct release for spares or if flat palm up was better.
Hi Kevin. I also used this for some years and it works well. But I use another spare technique now where I put my index finger straight up the middle finger and spread my punky out from my ring finger. It makes the ball fall straight forwards and go end over end. I have been sparing with that technique for 15 or so years now. Maybe you would try this as well. Choose what fits you best. Have a lovely day and stay safe.
@@MNohrLarsen I do spread my pinky out, don't put the index finger straight up with the middle finger. I will try this tonight as well. I will let you what happens. Thanks for the tip.
@@MNohrLarsen I was just about to reply. I will have to practice this technique more to really get it down. I can say this, Thursday it did help when I remembered to use it. I only missed four spares the whole night.
Hey JR, love the videos and ball reviews. I LOVE listening to your commentary while throwing balls for first time. If I hear excitement in your voice I know that it is good ball as it surprises you and your expectations of ball.
Using no thumb, I can't do this. 😢 I try to just put less revs on it. I've tried keeping my hand behind the ball and rolling up over the top, but that's tough.
I too am a no thumb single hander, however my spare ball is not for strike play, so to pick up my game I had a thumb drilled in my spare and guess what I picked up my averages. I can never go back to being a full time 3 finger bowler, but to pick up my spares I adapted the same technique he is showing in this video and it works.

Great Tip, Ive seen barnes do this in the 2020 Hall of Fame and Jonesboro Open.
Will definitely use this tonight in league

This is how I used to throw a bowling ball before I got into bowling and learned how to properly throw and curve it lol

Going to implement this tonight during the league practice time.

Hi @Kevin Scarborough Just curious about if it was useful for you or it didn't feel right for you.

Great tip I can’t wait to try it out. I just bought a new plastic ball too!
I done it just now and wow i can take corner pin Tq sir you're the best 😊👍
Great tip! I will try that on Wednesday on my league
I missed a cut on a regional stop by 60 but I missed 8 10pins that day, shit was rough
New camera set up is on point! Get yourself a lighting kit and you’re golden!
Hi JR, i tried this suitcase release and found it isn't that hard to do. The spare ball is getting ditched. Thanks for the tip.
I'm going to try that!
Using this tomorrow night...by the way, I *hate* the 3-6-10 with the heat of a thousand suns!
Great video!
Great tip cause I have never been able to use a plastic ball for that 10-pin...and I refuse (now) to buy another...👍😊👍
Awesome video

What about the guys and girls that don't use their thumb
