I have Pagani, San Martin, Ingersoll, Vostok, Poljot, Orient, Orient Star and even a hated Invicta watch in my collection. Frankly they all look good on the wrist especially when using different bracelets and straps. I also have Seiko and a genuine Omega but the more of the cheaper brands I experience the more I feel ripped off by the expensive brands. All but a few of my watches are automatic, some manual, some quartz, some solar, they all keep good time but the one that keeps perfect time and I mean within a second a day is my Poljot homage to a 1962 Omega Seamaster which looks nothing like today's Seamasters. It cost me £75 delivered from Ukraine and is just a nice watch. I truly think there is a lot of watch snobbery in the world and a lot of emporers new clothes especially with Rolex.
I bought my first Pagani recently and it’s absolutely beautiful. Has Japanese automatic movement with a Safire glass, full stainless bracelet and housing both brushed and polished. Mine is the white face paying homages to a Rolex Explorer. Cost me $190. USD and it’s a GMT Mechanical 40mm Stainless Steel Sapphire mirror 10Bar Dive Watch 1762 automatic movement. Can’t deny how good Paganini looks and feels on the wrist.
I just got mine today and I love it. Ali Express said it would be here in 7 days and it was here in 7 days. Can't complain!! I didn't get the adjustment tool for the bracelet so I had to use push pins and a wooden peg to alter it. But after a few choice words and finger stabbings I got two links out and now it fits (more or less) perfectly. Gonna sleep in it tonight to see how it feels. I showed it to my neighbour across the road and he immediately offered me £25 more than I paid for it, lol. I also got the NATO strap with the watch. I am wearing that on my empty wrist, lol............

Just received my v3 and for the cost, I’m blown away - This has to be the best value watch of ALL TIME! Wearing mine on a vintage style 2 piece rubber Zulu Diver, and it wears a treat! Not often that a homage is more accurate, has double the water resistance, and uses better materials (ceramic bezel insert) than the original!👌

I bought this two days ago, and I’m seriously impressed. The look and feel for the price is extraordinary. I had the Mercury Moonswatch and it was a cheap ass child’s feeling toy compared to this.

The Omega Speedmaster has always been my favourite watch but I could never justify spending 5k plus on a watch. Fast forward to the Swatch and Omega collaboration and I was excited by this, but having one in my hand I was very disappointed with it. Now watching this I definitely will be picking the Pagani version and investing in a new black leather stitched strap. It’s a beautiful watch I can wear without worry
I just received a blue Speedy V2 and am very happy with it and I’ve got a genuine 2015 Omega black face for comparison and as I said am very happy with it. I’d happily pay a bit more if they added an anti glare coating, screw pins and not interference fit pins on the bracelet.

I just got one and was absolutely shocked at how good it is! I immediately put a NATO strap on mine and it is a really nice surprise. I have another Pagani homage type watch, a quartz Top Gun Pilot IWC homage which has also far exceeded my expectations for over two years! Remarkable that a Chinese company like Pagani can manufacture such decent quality watches so cheaply.
Thanks to your reviews I bought a Pagani 1661 GMT and I am pleasantly surprised by this brand. Out of the box it was 9 seconds fast per day and with use it is down to 6 seconds/day. The only two changes I would wish for is a shorter bracelet as I had to remove every available link and adjust to the smallest micro adjustment to fit my 6 1/2” wrist. The other change would be to have an aluminum bezel instead of ceramic. Still it’s hard to complain for the price and this version 3 is so much better with white hands and indices. Over all I’m happy with mine.
One of the best reviews, if not the best, of this Pagani homage watch. The only think I would add to this is that the minute track in the Pagani only shows 2 divisions between ever minute, while the Omega Speedmaster shows 4. I know, Omega itself is not accurate regarding this and the 21600 VPH, but it is still the part of the Ethos of the Speedmaster, and is accepted as it is, is a Watch with the Greatest History of ANY Chronograph associated with the Greastest Feat of Humanity out of this World!!!! But again, this is a WOW of a Review!!!!!!!!! BTW, I just subscribe to your channel after watching your Super-review!!!!!!!

They work on a business model of massive production volume, with minimal profit margin on their wholesale price per piece. For example, 1 USD production cost saved per piece, is the same as 100K USD profit margin on a batch of 100K pieces. From a collectors perspective they would happily pay an extra 5 USD retail increase for AR coating, but the wholesale margin per piece wouldn't justify it for the factory. Regards, #WR4K

Great review. Pagani Design's strategy appears to be to produce to a distinct price-point, which I believe is why they keep costs down with the lack of AR, the pressed extension and poor luminova, etc. Very different to San Martin, where quality is improving significantly from feedback but prices are increasing as a consequence. There's a market for both I suppose but I wouldn't be surprised if San Martin aren't the go-to Chinese quality watch brand in a couple of years with the QC efforts they are making.

San Martin have replaced Seiko, and Steinhart, as the number one low-tier brand for collectors. For collectors with a lower budget Pagani Design dominate that price point. What often happens is collectors will buy several Pagani Design, then want better QC, lume, and bezel action; so buy a San Martin to get these enhancements. I would like to see San Martin slow down on the number of new releases they are outputting, and focus more on improving the existing models. Pagani Design and San Martin have found their own sweet spots in the market, 100-150 Euro, and 250-350 Euro respectively. This means they don't compete head-to-head with target customers within the same market. They operate different business models; Pagani Design work on massive volume batch production, with lower QC, and low wholesale profit margin per piece. They can do this as they manufacture all parts in house. San Martin produce a much lower volume, with higher QC, and higher profit margin per piece. They disadvantage is they buy in parts from other factories such as; dials, crows, cases, etc; then assemble them at their own factory. Regards, #WR4K
Just ordered a V6 with the 500m bezel that matches the Omega. Looking fwd to it. I have an early one whoch i like but in low light its difficult to read. White hands and indices will be better.
Just received mine this morning. Your review is spot on, except my bracelet doesn't feel jangly nor does it rattle, though it can still bend sideways in the same way as yours. The end links are well-fitted, so basically I think they may have tightened the tolerances somewhat. It's a really nice watch, and at the price is an undeniable bargain. I had the older panda daytona homage, but this is definitely superior. I especially like the fact the chrono pushers are not screw down - having to undo them first basically creates a very big 'speed bump' to using the functionality. Having them always available is a big bonus. The white hands on the black dial are much more readable. It's excellent.
Wore this version 3 into the shops today and was glanced at by a member of the staff who caught me by surprise with his "...love your speedmaster..." comment 😳 I just wish the bracelet can be reduced down further for slimmer wrists (you can only remove a total of 6 links). Alas I changed it to a black nato strap. That said this is an overall great value time piece as per this review 👍

Great review, John. The problem with the style of bracelet used here has been highlighted in one of previous reviews, if I remember correctly. The lack of AR is still a concern, however, with the white hands on the black dial that doesn't appear to be a major problem here. Good looking piece. A number of comments have touched on the case size being a little large for smaller wristed blokes, with a 40mm variant being a popular suggestion. A 47mm lug to lug on a 42mm case actually wears a little smaller than one would think, esp. due to the female pivoted endlinks. As you suggested, if the bracelet isn't to everyone's taste or is unable to be fitted comfortably to purchasers with smaller wrists, a rubber or, preferably, a leather strap would work well. Your comments re clear AR on the underside of the crystal and improved lume with a modest price increase are spot on. Unfortunately Pagani Design don't share your thoughts...which have been expressed with pretty much every PD watch reviewed on your channel.Thanks again for your informative review.

Got it on sale for 76 Euros ($117 AUD) during the AliExpress sale. I'll let you know my thoughts when I get it. At that price it was pretty much a no brainer.
It looks like a well-built and well-finished watch, BUT since the 24-hour dial just follows the main hour, it's JUST a one-hour chronograph if I understand well... which is quite deceptive !!
This is the review that made me buy this watch: showing all that’s great, but also all flaws. Great: Looks, price, dimensions & ease of use. Not so great: No AR coating, bracelet links & dive extension. However, I love, love, LOVE, how extensive your reviews are, and how honest your opinions on these watches are.

Excellent review as always! I sold my V2 so I could buy the V3, it looks amazing in pictures and on video, they finally improved what was needed to make this a true alternative to the classic speedmaster, can't wait for it to arrive.
Another great review! You are absolutely spot-on with your 'recommendations'. Upgrade the Lume, add AR coating and change out that abhorrent clasp to one with a warm day extension as in their other watches. Do that, and I'd gladly pay an extra $10 to $15 for this one. Pagani should pay attention to you, as you have your finger on the pulse of us watch enthusiasts.

I got this pagani a year ago. Give or take , anyway, I still catch myself sometimes just staring at it. Its beautiful, only thing is that 3 o'clock 24 hour subdial. What i just saw on Amazon. ... project Alaska v4 with red accents. And project Neptune v5 with blue accents.... Amazon also now has the pagani planet ocean with the steel bracelet and the ( faux ( im guessing) helium release valve).... very nice👍👍
Found if you make the bracelet a snug fit, where it isn't tight as such, just not moving around at all, using the micro adjusts it is perfectly comfortable. You have to take time and find the sweet spot.

I must say that I have really enjoyed your review of an Homage to my long wished for Grail, that being the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional. The newest version PD-1701 V3 "Moon Watch" has really piqued my interest. Although I would like to acquire this style model with a mechanical movement, such as the Phylida ST1901 but alas, there do not seem to be any of this particular model of watch available. So, I am thrilled to hear that you think so highly of the Seiko VK 63 Meca-Quartz. Now, with that very important aspect of a quality movement settled I am ready to focus on the aesthetics which as you very thoroughly shown to be vastly improved over the V1 and V2 variants which are IMO completely inferior to the V3 and as such a complete deal breaker for me. I truly appreciate your excellent use of high resonance camera work and, especially all of the varied angles employed to show every possible view exhibiting the most realistic look at this interesting timepiece. Your reviews, WR4K, have quickly become my favorite go to channel when deciding whether to "pull the trigger" on any certain watch. I love it! The Meca Quartz on this V3 is by far way better than the sloppy Quartz Movement on the Omega /Swatch. I should be receiving the V3 around July 6th. I have the V2. I’m passing the V2 to a family member. The V3 can still be improved. But you can’t go wrong for the price point seriously.

Looks like Pagani Design actually listened to their customers. Since the introduction of their "Alaska Project" homage, they've also upgraded the older V3 models to include AR coating now - without, and that is a very important point, increasing the price whatsoever! So for 104 Euros you're getting an excellent Speedmaster homage with a domed sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel insert, exceptional finishing on the case and caseback, VK63 movement and white hands/indices for great legibility. Now, the ONLY negative is the C3 Luminova, which is totally accepted for the low asking price. Bottom line: If you like the design of the Omega Speedmaster but look for a decent and cheap alternative, the PD-1701 V3 is the only logical choice!
Thie 1701 V3 looks absolutely gorgeous! The white indices and hands really enhanced the piece over the V2. It’s good that Pagani is still using the female endlinks bc I think even Omega is now using male endlinks and some Chinese brand switched to that aswell, unfortunately. If I’d need a watch on a leather strap, this would be a no-brainer, but i don’t need it and with the summer approaching, I wouldn’t wear a leather strap often anyways. So it’s unfortunate that they couldn’t improve their QC or whatever the issue really is on the bracelet! It does look great on that honey leatherstrap you showed it on in your community post. That's the way they should done it long ago. White hands give legibility and are mora accurate. I'd say if you do homage and change something the original had that will improve it I'd go with it. Even if it deviates from original design. After all we do not need replicas. Your review videos do have positive criticism which I appreciate. For the money PD did excellent job. If the bracelet gets really good I would have no problem with price increase.
good video on a nice piece . i have noted that with the watch sitting upright and seconds hand parked at rest 12 clock, the pagani logo in the light appears similar to the omega logo! i did laugh to my self when i noticed it. watch was sitting around watch cushion in upright position. also the newer version the bezel font follows the pcd of the bezel as opposed to in parallel format . i sent one back because this does detract from the item it is homaging. 🥰
The chrono seconds hand is misaligned in the zero position - and that can NOT be properly adjusted, because it's either pointing before the zero or before the 1 second mark.
Wouldn’t worry about the lack of AR - it’s very legible thanks to the flat white markers/hands. For the price it can’t be beat!! BTW- love your YT name😄👍
The JDM Seiko SBTR027 is a similar homage to the Omega, thought the color is a different. The Seiko can be had for around $150, so more than the PD, but still very affordable, espeically for a Seiko.
Like the VK63. The white hands and markers are a very nice and needed upgrade. I have a white dial with a blue bezel with silver hands and markers and that's the only reason I didn't like it because of the reflections. Might just get this watch....it's a smart-looking watch for the money. Bracelets on the Pagani watches are usually their weak point.....I just plan on switching out the strap on the Pagani watches. I actually put an Omega rubber strap with a deployment clasp.

I got one identical to this for Christmas 2022 ; very pleased with the watch, really marvellous, I love it, the looks, the quality, everything. Unfortunately, I can't say so much for the metallic bracelet it came with, complete rubbish, and to the rubbish bin it went. Luckily, Pagani Design also supplies a Nato style bracelet, which suits the watch beautifully and which I have decided to wear with it.
I just recently happened upon your 4k watch reviews, you have the best review format Ive seen so far with your simple and concice presentation. Would you also take a look at their new V2 of the Tudor Homage? I'm currently torn between the blue one and this Speedmaster, the first looks outragously good with the removal of the text font beneath the logo which I believe to be a great choice, the Pagani logo actually looks much better without the text in my opinion.

But this watch seems to have great wrist presents on my 7 & A Quarter inch wrist. I think I'm starting to like it more than my san Martin bb-58 blue and my Kronos Rolex Submariner. What do you think? Another good review thanks. I'm not a lover of metal bracelets (unless they are titanium) so the poor quality band doesn't bother me. I'm ordering one and I have a quality rubber strap waiting for the watch.
I own one. It’s really nice. My one complaint is that the bracelet was too big me me after having removed all links that I could. I had to change out the band.
Love this watch…. Got mine 3 days ago. I also have the new version of the corgeut. The difference is night and day. I might be the odd one out here but for me, the corgeut’s aluminium bezel insert looks so much better than the PD’s ceramic. Not a fan of how the ceramic catches the light and makes it illegible sometimes. All things considered it looks brilliant. I put mine on a bond nato it is stunning.. great video as always..

Good thing we don't live our lives by what watch snobs think, eh? For me this is a good-looking watch for good looking price. The fact that it looks like a Speedmaster is not what attracts me; it is just _the look in general_ that attracts me...
It's interesting that Seiko say that using the chrono will drain the battery faster. My Tag Heuer has a similar movement, a quartz time module with a piggybacked mechanical chrono, yet when the battery is not brand new it will only run with the chrono on. It's like the chrono somehow offers less friction.

Mine has a different bezel instead starting with 400 instead 500 on top right and have no dots on twelve o'clock marking. I get these type of comments on many of my videos when I correctly state the dimension, and then viewers tell me the AliExpress specification differs. I then have to repeat the same explanation; I measure every watch I review with my digital vernier caliper. "MMD is correct in that the advertising specs of the V3 clearly state the diameter as being 40mm". In that case MMD can report it to the store and get it corrected. Using my channel as a platform to do this doesn't get it done. "I know that you have mentioned in previous reviews that sometimes specs on Aliexpress are incorrect." Yes, I have; multiple times. However viewers still question the dimensions I state in my videos repeatedly. You said its 42mm, but on AliExpress it says 40mm, etc. At the start of every review I detail the; case diameter, lug to lug, thickness, lug width. All dimensions measured myself using my digital vernier caliper. Over 250 watches reviewed, all following the same format; stating the correct dimensions I have measured. Despite this I repeatedly get comments like; "I know that you have mentioned in previous reviews that sometimes specs on Aliexpress are incorrect." If you know that, then you don't need to comment about it. "so the fact that it is actally 42mm is clearly misleading advertising." Agreed, this is the reality of AliExpress. Collectors are well aware that many images are Photoshopped, or rendered images, rather than real photographs. They are also aware many specifications contain errors. This is why they watch my reviews to get the actual dimensions, and specifications, which I have verified as correct. It's a time sink for me to reply to these kind of comments repeatedly; questioning the dimensions/specifications I have stated; as if I would mistake a 40mm piece for a 42mm. Regards, #WR4K

I bought my first Pagani recently and it’s absolutely beautiful.
Has Japanese automatic movement with a Safire glass, full stainless bracelet and housing both brushed and polished.
Mine is the white face paying homages to a Rolex Explorer. Cost me $190. USD and it’s a GMT Mechanical 40mm Stainless Steel Sapphire mirror 10Bar Dive Watch 1762 automatic movement.
Can’t deny how good Paganini looks and feels on the wrist.
I just got mine today and I love it. Ali Express said it would be here in 7 days and it was here in 7 days. Can't complain!!
I didn't get the adjustment tool for the bracelet so I had to use push pins and a wooden peg to alter it. But after a few choice words and finger stabbings I got two links out and now it fits (more or less) perfectly. Gonna sleep in it tonight to see how it feels.
I showed it to my neighbour across the road and he immediately offered me £25 more than I paid for it, lol. I also got the NATO strap with the watch. I am wearing that on my empty wrist, lol............
this new V3 loos amazing!! I know it's an homage and they try to replicate the original dimensions, but I would love a slimer version

The Omega Speedmaster has always been my favourite watch but I could never justify spending 5k plus on a watch. Fast forward to the Swatch and Omega collaboration and I was excited by this, but having one in my hand I was very disappointed with it. Now watching this I definitely will be picking the Pagani version and investing in a new black leather stitched strap. It’s a beautiful watch I can wear without worry

I got a V3 about a week ago. Mine didn't come with a NATO strap. But I can still feel good because mine has no sharp edges!!! Cool watch!!!
I just received a blue Speedy V2 and am very happy with it and I’ve got a genuine 2015 Omega black face for comparison and as I said am very happy with it. I’d happily pay a bit more if they added an anti glare coating, screw pins and not interference fit pins on the bracelet.

I just got one and was absolutely shocked at how good it is! I immediately put a NATO strap on mine and it is a really nice surprise. I have another Pagani homage type watch, a quartz Top Gun Pilot IWC homage which has also far exceeded my expectations for over two years! Remarkable that a Chinese company like Pagani can manufacture such decent quality watches so cheaply.

The only two changes I would wish for is a shorter bracelet as I had to remove every available link and adjust to the smallest micro adjustment to fit my 6 1/2” wrist. The other change would be to have an aluminum bezel instead of ceramic. Still it’s hard to complain for the price and this version 3 is so much better with white hands and indices. Over all I’m happy with mine.

One of the best reviews, if not the best, of this Pagani homage watch. The only think I would add to this is that the minute track in the Pagani only shows 2 divisions between ever minute, while the Omega Speedmaster shows 4. I know, Omega itself is not accurate regarding this and the 21600 VPH, but it is still the part of the Ethos of the Speedmaster, and is accepted as it is, is a Watch with the Greatest History of ANY Chronograph associated with the Greastest Feat of Humanity out of this World!!!! But again, this is a WOW of a Review!!!!!!!!! BTW, I just subscribe to your channel after watching your Super-review!!!!!!!

They work on a business model of massive production volume, with minimal profit margin on their wholesale price per piece. For example, 1 USD production cost saved per piece, is the same as 100K USD profit margin on a batch of 100K pieces. From a collectors perspective they would happily pay an extra 5 USD retail increase for AR coating, but the wholesale margin per piece wouldn't justify it for the factory. Regards, #WR4K

Great review. Pagani Design's strategy appears to be to produce to a distinct price-point, which I believe is why they keep costs down with the lack of AR, the pressed extension and poor luminova, etc. Very different to San Martin, where quality is improving significantly from feedback but prices are increasing as a consequence. There's a market for both I suppose but I wouldn't be surprised if San Martin aren't the go-to Chinese quality watch brand in a couple of years with the QC efforts they are making.

San Martin have replaced Seiko, and Steinhart, as the number one low-tier brand for collectors. For collectors with a lower budget Pagani Design dominate that price point. What often happens is collectors will buy several Pagani Design, then want better QC, lume, and bezel action; so buy a San Martin to get these enhancements. I would like to see San Martin slow down on the number of new releases they are outputting, and focus more on improving the existing models. Pagani Design and San Martin have found their own sweet spots in the market, 100-150 Euro, and 250-350 Euro respectively. This means they don't compete head-to-head with target customers within the same market. They operate different business models; Pagani Design work on massive volume batch production, with lower QC, and low wholesale profit margin per piece. They can do this as they manufacture all parts in house.
San Martin produce a much lower volume, with higher QC, and higher profit margin per piece. They disadvantage is they buy in parts from other factories such as; dials, crows, cases, etc; then assemble them at their own factory. Regards, #WR4K

Just received mine this morning. Your review is spot on, except my bracelet doesn't feel jangly nor does it rattle, though it can still bend sideways in the same way as yours. The end links are well-fitted, so basically I think they may have tightened the tolerances somewhat.
It's a really nice watch, and at the price is an undeniable bargain.
I had the older panda daytona homage, but this is definitely superior. I especially like the fact the chrono pushers are not screw down - having to undo them first basically creates a very big 'speed bump' to using the functionality. Having them always available is a big bonus.
The white hands on the black dial are much more readable. It's excellent.

I just wish the bracelet can be reduced down further for slimmer wrists (you can only remove a total of 6 links). Alas I changed it to a black nato strap.
That said this is an overall great value time piece as per this review 👍

Great review, John. The problem with the style of bracelet used here has been highlighted in one of previous reviews, if I remember correctly. The lack of AR is still a concern, however, with the white hands on the black dial that doesn't appear to be a major problem here. Good looking piece. A number of comments have touched on the case size being a little large for smaller wristed blokes, with a 40mm variant being a popular suggestion. A 47mm lug to lug on a 42mm case actually wears a little smaller than one would think, esp. due to the female pivoted endlinks. As you suggested, if the bracelet isn't to everyone's taste or is unable to be fitted comfortably to purchasers with smaller wrists, a rubber or, preferably, a leather strap would work well. Your comments re clear AR on the underside of the crystal and improved lume with a modest price increase are spot on. Unfortunately Pagani Design don't share your thoughts...which have been expressed with pretty much every PD watch reviewed on your channel.Thanks again for your informative review.

Got it on sale for 76 Euros ($117 AUD) during the AliExpress sale. I'll let you know my thoughts when I get it. At that price it was pretty much a no brainer.
It looks like a well-built and well-finished watch, BUT since the 24-hour dial just follows the main hour, it's JUST a one-hour chronograph if I understand well... which is quite deceptive !!

Another great review! You are absolutely spot-on with your 'recommendations'. Upgrade the Lume, add AR coating and change out that abhorrent clasp to one with a warm day extension as in their other watches. Do that, and I'd gladly pay an extra $10 to $15 for this one. Pagani should pay attention to you, as you have your finger on the pulse of us watch enthusiasts.

I got this pagani a year ago. Give or take , anyway, I still catch myself sometimes just staring at it. Its beautiful, only thing is that 3 o'clock 24 hour subdial. What i just saw on Amazon. ... project Alaska v4 with red accents. And project Neptune v5 with blue accents....
Amazon also now has the pagani planet ocean with the steel bracelet and the ( faux ( im guessing) helium release valve).... very nice👍👍
Found if you make the bracelet a snug fit, where it isn't tight as such, just not moving around at all, using the micro adjusts it is perfectly comfortable. You have to take time and find the sweet spot.

I must say that I have really enjoyed your review of an Homage to my long wished for Grail, that being the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional. The newest version PD-1701 V3 "Moon Watch" has really piqued my interest. Although I would like to acquire this style model with a mechanical movement, such as the Phylida ST1901 but alas, there do not seem to be any of this particular model of watch available. So, I am thrilled to hear that you think so highly of the Seiko VK 63 Meca-Quartz. Now, with that very important aspect of a quality movement settled I am ready to focus on the aesthetics which as you very thoroughly shown to be vastly improved over the V1 and V2 variants which are IMO completely inferior to the V3 and as such a complete deal breaker for me. I truly appreciate your excellent use of high resonance camera work and, especially all of the varied angles employed to show every possible view exhibiting the most realistic look at this interesting timepiece. Your reviews, WR4K, have quickly become my favorite go to channel when deciding whether to "pull the trigger" on any certain watch. It is your knowledge and description of the watch at hand that helps me make an informed decision about the potential purchase. Such is the case that led me to my last acquisition, the PD 1644 White "Daytona Homage." All in all, your professional style, camera work, positioning and descriptions of your subjects help me greatly when the time comes for said decision making. I love it! The Meca Quartz on this V3 is by far way better than the sloppy Quartz Movement on the Omega /Swatch. I should be receiving the V3 around July 6th. I have the V2. I’m passing the V2 to a family member. The V3 can still be improved. But you can’t go wrong for the price point seriously.

Looks like Pagani Design actually listened to their customers. Since the introduction of their "Alaska Project" homage, they've also upgraded the older V3 models to include AR coating now - without, and that is a very important point, increasing the price whatsoever! So for 104 Euros you're getting an excellent Speedmaster homage with a domed sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel insert, exceptional finishing on the case and caseback, VK63 movement and white hands/indices for great legibility. Now, the ONLY negative is the C3 Luminova, which is totally accepted for the low asking price. Bottom line: If you like the design of the Omega Speedmaster but look for a decent and cheap alternative, the PD-1701 V3 is the only logical choice!

The white indices and hands really enhanced the piece over the V2.
It’s good that Pagani is still using the female endlinks bc I think even Omega is now using male endlinks and some Chinese brand switched to that aswell, unfortunately.
If I’d need a watch on a leather strap, this would be a no-brainer, but i don’t need it and with the summer approaching, I wouldn’t wear a leather strap often anyways. So it’s unfortunate that they couldn’t improve their QC or whatever the issue really is on the bracelet!

That's the way they should done it long ago. White hands give legibility and are mora accurate. I'd say if you do homage and change something the original had that will improve it I'd go with it. Even if it deviates from original design. After all we do not need replicas. Your review videos do have positive criticism which I appreciate.
For the money PD did excellent job. If the bracelet gets really good I would have no problem with price increase.

good video on a nice piece . i have noted that with the watch sitting upright and seconds hand parked at rest 12 clock, the pagani logo in the light appears similar to the omega logo! i did laugh to my self when i noticed it. watch was sitting around watch cushion in upright position. also the newer version the bezel font follows the pcd of the bezel as opposed to in parallel format . i sent one back because this does detract from the item it is homaging. 🥰
I just pull the trigger on this watch since Aliexpress is having its summer sale. Got it at a steal SGD $107.
The chrono seconds hand is misaligned in the zero position - and that can NOT be properly adjusted, because it's either pointing before the zero or before the 1 second mark.

I own v2 and its a RELFECTION MONSTER. We need AR!!
The stock bracelet does not reduce enough to fit my 6.25" wrist. Luckily enough, my Omega bracelet fits the case.
I think it will be the best budget watch if it has more powerful lume.
The JDM Seiko SBTR027 is a similar homage to the Omega, thought the color is a different. The Seiko can be had for around $150, so more than the PD, but still very affordable, espeically for a Seiko.
Like the VK63.
The white hands and markers are a very nice and needed upgrade.
I have a white dial with a blue bezel with silver hands and markers and that's the only reason I didn't like it because of the reflections.
Might just get this watch....it's a smart-looking watch for the money.
Bracelets on the Pagani watches are usually their weak point.....I just plan on switching out the strap on the Pagani watches.
I actually put an Omega rubber strap with a deployment clasp.

I got one identical to this for Christmas 2022 ; very pleased with the watch, really marvellous, I love it, the looks, the quality, everything. Unfortunately, I can't say so much for the metallic bracelet it came with, complete rubbish, and to the rubbish bin it went. Luckily, Pagani Design also supplies a Nato style bracelet, which suits the watch beautifully and which I have decided to wear with it.

I just recently happened upon your 4k watch reviews, you have the best review format Ive seen so far with your simple and concice presentation. Would you also take a look at their new V2 of the Tudor Homage? I'm currently torn between the blue one and this Speedmaster, the first looks outragously good with the removal of the text font beneath the logo which I believe to be a great choice, the Pagani logo actually looks much better without the text in my opinion.

John great review. This has now become one of my favorite pieces. And I didn't think I would like chronographs because of too much going on. The time is very easy to see and very legible. But this watch seems to have great wrist presents on my 7 & A Quarter inch wrist. I think I'm starting to like it more than my san Martin bb-58 blue and my Kronos Rolex Submariner. What do you think? Another good review thanks. I'm not a lover of metal bracelets (unless they are titanium) so the poor quality band doesn't bother me. I'm ordering one and I have a quality rubber strap waiting for the watch.

I own one. It’s really nice. My one complaint is that the bracelet was too big me me after having removed all links that I could. I had to change out the band.

Love this watch…. Got mine 3 days ago. I also have the new version of the corgeut. The difference is night and day. I might be the odd one out here but for me, the corgeut’s aluminium bezel insert looks so much better than the PD’s ceramic. Not a fan of how the ceramic catches the light and makes it illegible sometimes. All things considered it looks brilliant. I put mine on a bond nato it is stunning.. great video as always..

lovely watch, a mate has one and i had a look at it over the weekend when i saw him..
sadly watch snobs won;t consider it, as i posted this on a forum and people seem to prefer the swatch homage instead....
Good thing we don't live our lives by what watch snobs think, eh? For me this is a good-looking watch for good looking price. The fact that it looks like a Speedmaster is not what attracts me; it is just _the look in general_ that attracts me...

It's interesting that Seiko say that using the chrono will drain the battery faster. My Tag Heuer has a similar movement, a quartz time module with a piggybacked mechanical chrono, yet when the battery is not brand new it will only run with the chrono on. It's like the chrono somehow offers less friction.

After I watch this video I decide to buy this watch but unfortunately I received something totally different from what you showed in your video. Mine has a different bezel instead starting with 400 instead 500 on top right and have no dots on twelve o'clock marking. Can you tell me what is going on and how to get exactly this one what you have in this video. Thank you

@@watchreviews4k MMD is correct in that the advertising specs of the V3 clearly state the diameter as being 40mm, so the fact that it is actally 42mm is clearly misleading advertising. I know that you have mentioned in previous reviews that sometimes specs on Aliexpress are incorrect.
@@grahamyoung622 I am not the admin of the stores AliExpress listings, therefore not responsible for their specification errors. I get these type of comments on many of my videos when I correctly state the dimension, and then viewers tell me the AliExpress specification differs. I then have to repeat the same explanation; I measure every watch I review with my digital vernier caliper.

You said its 42mm, but on AliExpress it says 40mm, etc.
At the start of every review I detail the; case diameter, lug to lug, thickness, lug width. All dimensions measured myself using my digital vernier caliper. Over 250 watches reviewed, all following the same format; stating the correct dimensions I have measured.
Despite this I repeatedly get comments like; "I know that you have mentioned in previous reviews that sometimes specs on Aliexpress are incorrect." If you know that, then you don't need to comment about it.

Collectors are well aware that many images are Photoshopped, or rendered images, rather than real photographs. They are also aware many specifications contain errors. This is why they watch my reviews to get the actual dimensions, and specifications, which I have verified as correct.
It's a time sink for me to reply to these kind of comments repeatedly; questioning the dimensions/specifications I have stated; as if I would mistake a 40mm piece for a 42mm. Regards, #WR4K
