After checking out almost 15 different kinds of forums and reviews about travel backpacks, I finally found your YT and I easily ended up watching around 30 videos of yours. I love how you combine humor with proper and detailed reviews about the product you are reviewing. I really appreciate that you aren't afraid to mention the cons of the different backpacks/bags. With your help I finally ended up with going for the Prvke 31 L. I found it amusing that when you actually started talking about making a list for what type of requirements you had for a backpack, that was the thing I started doing since the first video I watched from you. I'm not really sure if this is interesting or beneficial for anyone at all, but I'll share my requirement list: * Carry style: backpack with no preference if it was a clam-shell or top-lock opening style * Straps: shoulders, sternum and waist/hip (preferred with the option of hide-able/stow-able) * Size: within 20 L - 40 L (to be able to load the backpack with minimum 1x full set of clothes like socks, boxer, jeans, t shirt and a hoodie without using a traveling cube. I wrote it down like this, to make it easier for myself to visualize how much space that actually would take) * Comfort: should be able to walk around with the backpack nonstop for at-least 2-3 hrs * Laptop pocket/sleeve: have to be able to fit my MacBook Pro 15,4" * Other pocket(s): at-least 1 pocket to hold my laptop charger, glasses case, wallet, a couple of dongles and other small electronic devices * Design: somewhat of a Urban/casual look Again, I just want to say thanks a bunch Chase! Keep up with the great work and even tho I might have gotten my backpack now. I'll still continue to checkout your YT!
hey xKetchuppy. how are you liking the Prvke 31L? I'm looking to get the same bag but thought it might be a bit too big for a daily? Thanks in advance mate...
Dude, right? I've been looking for a bag to replace my Tom Bihn Synapse-19. It's a 1st gen, so this bag has held up for around 9 years of daily abuse. They replaced two zippers for free, and the bag definitely looks beat up but it only has one tiny hole in a particularly high-wear spot. It still works, but my needs grew and the bag didn't. So I want something a little bit bigger and more pared down both in looks and "bells and whistles." But now I'm spoiled, right? I want a bag that's *at least as durable* as my Synapse, and I want it to come with a lifetime warranty. I came to this channel after watching a few far less entertaining videos - but Chase's videos kept coming up in my YT suggestions. I watched a bunch of his videos, and he not only made me LOL, he also helped me make my choice. I already ordered the bag! But here I still am, watching his videos.
@@jzouy I am so sorry for such a tremendous late reply. I didn't get a notification for this post until now for some reason. I personally love it and use it as a everyday and travel backpack. I hope you found a solution.
Definitely approve of you in spite of your concern for style. This is you at your best, Chase. The full gestalt of information and humor (a good indicator of enlightenment).
Look, I bought a Minaal 2.0 halfway through the year and I absolutely freaking love it. LOVE IT! And yet, I feel the need to continue watching each and every video Chase Reeves puts out. Because. It’s addictive man!
I’ve always been into bags even when I was in elementary I remember I had back problems cause I never wanted to take it off lol now that I’m older I still have a weird obsession and I’m glad I found this page lol keep up the awesome work brotha
After watching many hours of your videos I purchased a Synapse 25 and love it, feels like the perfect one bag travel bag. I'm still here watching though because the content is great! Thank you!
came here for bag reviews, but got a life lesson on how to spend wisely! "know what i need about the stuff i buy, and exactly why im buying it for" Man i love this channel!.
My family and friends laugh at me when I buy yet another bag. But I'm still searching for my perfect bag( and in Argentina it is not easy to find). Thank goodness I found you that feels the same about bags!
Just found this channel, and I love everything about it. I've gotten into every day carry stuff (spending tons of money on knives and pens), but I haven't yet gotten a new bag. Thanks for the awesome reviews!
You killed it AGAIN!!! I watch these videos and I see myself speaking those words. I get so conflicted all the time on just what type of bag I want. I buy them, try them and move on. I don’t let price get in the way of my “perfect” bag. But I did receive my Peak Design Travel Bag and I’m pretty content with it right now. The material feels good, it carries easily on my back and I just LOVE the pouches that I got with them. I really wanted to hate those pouches since they were so bulky but I’m finding, I HAVE to have them now. It’s a great bag and it fits me when I want to have that type of look that comes with that bag. Then there’s those days that I want to be more rustic. More “ruck” type. So I have my Maxpedition Riftblade that is phenomenal for that. Excellent organization (some of the best organization I’ve found in a 30+ liter bag). But it’s at the lower end of what I can carry in a travel bag. Not much extra room for anything I wish to add along the way. I don’t know if I’ll ever find my perfect bag, but I do like the Kickstarter projects that have come along and made leaps and bounds from every day backpack companies. I look forward to going on this journey with you as things go on.
Fell in love with your Millican Smith review, buying my own in a week! Super overkill for college but great for commuting and vacations, one beautiful bag for everything
Picked up the baron fig backpack. They kindly sent me the new one even though I ordered the old one (because the new one did not have an active webpage. Super happy with the update they did, fixed most if not all of the issues you brought up. Thanks for the suggestions. Also super hyped for the Boundary Supply Errant. Good work man!
Love your channel and passion for bags which we share! Just bought the Peak Travel after watching your videos. I laugh so hard and cant get enough of your videos.
Hey, Chase, I love your stuff, your reviews, especially the amount of thought/philosophy/personality you put into them. I kind of think/feel the same way about bags... Anyhow, I recently bought myself a Thule Vea 17L backpack and I feel I've reached my personal niche in Bag Nirvana. So much so, that I (and maybe others around this channel) would be fascinated to hear your take on the Vea series. Hm? Maybe? No way? Or kind of.. you'll see? I guess I'll see!
One thing I'd like to add about the price of a backpack is that TIME (not the magazine) matters a lot. What I mean by that is if you aren't like Chase and me and are looking mainly for 1 pack and have a limited budget, you need to factor in how long that bag will last you to determine its actual cost per certain amount of time. For example, if you buy a pack for $100 and it lasts 10 years, it will essentially be the same price as a pack that's $200 and lasts 20 years ($10/year). In addition to that, the $200 pack is likely going to have better functionality and possibly better looks, so it would definitely be the better choice. In that case, it would be wise to save a little more money and get the better pack that's actually the same price over time. Don't fall into the trap of thinking a $100 backpack is cheaper than a $200 backpack without factoring in time. This principle can be applied to a lot things in your life, by the way.
Great video as usual, Chase. I just placed my last bag order for 2018, the Monolith Weekender 40l. I'm also waiting on my Boundary Supply Errant, and already bought a Thule Subterra 34l over the summer. Not a bad trio for $350 total.
What a pleasure of video! I totally agree, bags help us move forward. For me, great bags: Gr1, Evergoods Cpl24, Opposethis Invisible 2, the Brown buffalo conceal pack
It took some time and experimentation, but I finally honed in on what I need a bag to do for me. The process of figuring that out was unique though. I hardly invest that amount of thought into consumer products. I suspect that occurred because bags have a unique blend of specific demands (which you outline in this video), but we also sort of expect them to transcend lifestyle, activities, and fashions. But what other products would I invest so much scrutiny into prior to purchasing? I'm much more cavalier about buying tech goods such as cameras, headphones, or laptops. I'm trying now to apply this level of scrutiny to other categories of consumer goods and I'm finding that I frequently don't care to invest as much thought into products as I did for my bag. I find that odd!
Love this! I especially love how you put that a bag enables you to live the life you want! I have been watching multiple hours of your videos lately in search of a bag that will be a great diaper bag (stay-at-home dad here) that I will want to use once they are out of that stage. I always come away encouraged to be more of me! It feels a little crazy to watch a guy review bags and be inspired but your authenticity is pouring out and it is contagious! Thanks for the reviews and inspiration. I was literally having a conversation with my spiritual director about how these videos were inspiring me and we spent a large chunk of the hour meeting talking about why I was inspired which ended up being great work. I just now have to stop watching so many videos and do some stuff. Anyways this has been so long....thanks for being you and sharing that with the world!
Chase, I really need you. That Kletterwerks Summit bag doesn't even exist anymore. Can you make a vid on something else like it because I fell in love with that bag.
An unexpected and magnetic combination of knowledge, obsession (I mean, look at all those backpacks) and fun. Came for some insights and stayed... just because.
Have you ever used or thought about reviewing the Incase EO Travel backpack? It’s really well rated and seems to be a top contender. Trying to decide between it and the Nomatic Travel Pack...
Chase, I love your videos, but I don’t understand why the Heimplanet Transit Travel Pack isn’t on your favourites list, you gave it a pretty solid review. I’d love to hear more on that one
It’s a little funky in its size for the way I travel. A little smaller than I’d like or a little bigger than I need for daily carry. Great materials and design tho!

Very useful and entertaining video at the same time! This Kletterweks Summit 20L bag, man, you've sold me on it. It's almost the perfect for what I'm looking for! Unfortunately, it's no longer manufactured, so I'm back to searching.
Omg. I'm in love. Wit you.. I want to skip certain bags but I'll miss some humour 😂 If I like the Belroy but also want space for a camera body and let's say 2 lens.. What do I do? I'm leaning towards the plus as I use a 13" dell xps laptop too plus a water bottle. Or can I go with the stabdard version? Thing is I really like the front flap that's a zip thingy
In searching for a travel bag I went through all of Chase's videos and everything I could find on RUclips and online shops. I expected to see more releases coming up to Dec 2018 but nothing since the announcement of the Peak Design Travel bag in August for release in December added anything to what had gone before. Many interesting designs from 2016 and 2017 are already discontinued. Many kickstarter releases are a one off and disappear as soon as the initial orders are filled. Not necessarily a bad thing. Works out like the charts of pop music with one hit wonders, some performers who always seem to produce a hit and others more hit and miss.

Still in the search of the best daypack for my need. I use it on daily basis when i travel the city, i put my jacket n all my shopping there. Last time i used herschel, but the strap can be a little warm after a while, not safe for europe travel, and no waterproof. Got nomatic, slightly too bukly for daypack. Got aer fit 2, good antithef but too small, once i put my jacket its full. So yeah still in the searc. My current travel backpack is peakdesign But still in the journey to find the best daypack for my needs
Chase, I have been on the hunt for the best feature convertible backpack, with a waterbottle and the ability to carry the new MacBook Pro, 16, iPad Pro 12, and essentials. What do you recommend.
Bag advise bro... Any budget bag with a usb charging port outside for likee say tech type and to hold cameras... I like the boundary ones though usb missing
Hi , I'm looking for a bag pack that I could tack for doing the WHW at Scotland , wich bag pack will you recommend ? -Need to be light and comfortable to carry on my back . (I'm a woman 1.61m height) - A bag with possibility to attach tent/equipment for camping to? Thanks for your help😎
Hi, I'm looking for a good hybrid travel bag with hip straps included (to help my back) that'll be a used more as a daily bag and could fit 2 weeks worth of stuff for an upcoming trip. I've been going back and forth between the prima and setout divide but am open to other options.
Hey Chase! The link to the Kletterwerks Summit Pack hasn‘t been working for a while now. Do they even still make that model? Anyways, love your videos! Greetings from Switzerland!
Hey Chase, I won't ask you to review Kathmandu's all-weather wedding dress, but how about the Litehaul 38L pack? Seems like it might be just right but I'd really like to hear your take and how it compares to other bags of its size. Thanks.
Would be really cool if you could get your hands on packs from Europe. Brands like Mixed Works or Bagaboo make some quality stuff. They are lacking in online video reviews though.
Hi Chase, can you do a review of the Qwstion Office Bag please! Or what to you think of it? Do the handles stick out too far? Thanks from Straya (Australia)
Just a suggestion- I love bags especially backpacks. However, as a 5"5 slim female, a lot of bags just look ridiculous on my frame. Would love to see you get a female guest to do "how this bag looks" on different sized people :)
It would be awesome if you do like a top of the best leather backpacks out there that are actually worth it and useful, I just love the way those type of backpacks looks...
Do you have tips to get rid of mildew in bags? Sometimes even with proper care in storage, backpacks can become moldy if not used for a while, especially if you have many bags in rotation. Is it necessary to throw away the bags that are affected?
Chase, stuck between the 26L GR1 and the 34L GR2... is the 34L a good sleek size or to bulky to stick under the seat and easy to carry? Looking for a overnight up to a long weeks travel .. which do you recommend .. thanks man, love your videos!
I travel for work every week and I need a bag that can REALLY REALLY protect my laptop. It should look professional. It should have some space to carry some other stuff like headphones, a few papers and notebook, a sweater. And the like. Comfortable also. Can you help with a recommendation????
I have a $100 budjet and ill use it for school, but i need it to be as useful in different applications.i also want it to have a compartment for my glasses. Any recommendation

HELP!!! Traveling with family and need a bag with enough external pockets, plenty of tech organization options for laptop, iPad, headphones, sunglasses, stylish, but also be able to fit small kids stuff and my own shirt or two, definitely comfortable for an everyday backpack but great great for traveling to have quick access to everything on a flight! Does such a bag exist?? 🤪
Came for the bag reviews, stayed for Chase’s personality.

Did you ever do a review on rucksack 40 L from

no gf to fill up your ears with hot air?
After checking out almost 15 different kinds of forums and reviews about travel backpacks, I finally found your YT and I easily ended up watching around 30 videos of yours. I love how you combine humor with proper and detailed reviews about the product you are reviewing. I really appreciate that you aren't afraid to mention the cons of the different backpacks/bags. With your help I finally ended up with going for the Prvke 31 L. I found it amusing that when you actually started talking about making a list for what type of requirements you had for a backpack, that was the thing I started doing since the first video I watched from you.
I'm not really sure if this is interesting or beneficial for anyone at all, but I'll share my requirement list:
* Carry style: backpack with no preference if it was a clam-shell or top-lock opening style
* Straps: shoulders, sternum and waist/hip (preferred with the option of hide-able/stow-able)
* Size: within 20 L - 40 L (to be able to load the backpack with minimum 1x full set of clothes like socks, boxer, jeans, t shirt and a hoodie without using a traveling cube. I wrote it down like this, to make it easier for myself to visualize how much space that actually would take)
* Comfort: should be able to walk around with the backpack nonstop for at-least 2-3 hrs
* Laptop pocket/sleeve: have to be able to fit my MacBook Pro 15,4"
* Other pocket(s): at-least 1 pocket to hold my laptop charger, glasses case, wallet, a couple of dongles and other small electronic devices
* Design: somewhat of a Urban/casual look
Again, I just want to say thanks a bunch Chase! Keep up with the great work and even tho I might have gotten my backpack now. I'll still continue to checkout your YT!

Think I’m going to go for the 21l.
So I want something a little bit bigger and more pared down both in looks and "bells and whistles."
But now I'm spoiled, right? I want a bag that's *at least as durable* as my Synapse, and I want it to come with a lifetime warranty. Can you please do a review of the Frenchie Co. Speed bag?? I've been looking at this bag a lot lately, and the reviews on youtube don't compare to yours! If you could give us one of your detailed breakdowns of this bag, I'm sure we all would really appreciate it!!
just got it in!
My current travel backpack is peakdesign
But still in the journey to find the best daypack for my needs
What do you think about the Osprey travel backpacks.?

Hi, I'm looking for a good hybrid travel bag with hip straps included (to help my back) that'll be a used more as a daily bag and could fit 2 weeks worth of stuff for an upcoming trip. I've been going back and forth between the prima and setout divide but am open to other options.
I seriously almost don’t want a bag, so I can keep having the need to watch every video Chase posts.
Thanks.
Coming soon!
Wahoo!
can you review the Roka transition and commuter bags? Would like to hear your thoughts.
I wish there was a way to like multiple times, at different points in the video
Chase, any chance of reviewing the SDR Traveller bags, specifically the field satchel?
Honestly, just buy all the bags so you don't have to decide. Seriously, great video!
Can you do a review on the new Incase allroute backpack!?
Just a suggestion- I love bags especially backpacks. However, as a 5"5 slim female, a lot of bags just look ridiculous on my frame. Would love to see you get a female guest to do "how this bag looks" on different sized people :)
Word!
Same! I’m 5’3 and it feels impossible to find a great travel big that won’t tip me over...
Is it necessary to throw away the bags that are affected?
ew, i'm not sure about this. I'm scared of mold stuff... let us know if you find anything!
Everytime I buy a new bag I make sure to watch this video before. Time for my next travel backpack.
Chase, stuck between the 26L GR1 and the 34L GR2... is the 34L a good sleek size or to bulky to stick under the seat and easy to carry? Looking for a overnight up to a long weeks travel .. which do you recommend .. thanks man, love your videos!
I go gr1. 32L GR2 is too bulky for me. Use my link if you can!

I travel for work every week and I need a bag that can REALLY REALLY protect my laptop. It should look professional.
It should have some space to carry some other stuff like headphones, a few papers and notebook, a sweater. And the like.
Comfortable also.
Can you help with a recommendation????
