"let it take time, let it take money". This tip right here blew my mind. Dovetails nicely with the spark joy thing. Everything you have or keep should be the stuff you like the most and best fits your needs. No point holding on to stuff for 'just because' reasons...or buyer's remorse.
The bit about minimizing clothing in your closet reminded me of a scene from Parks and Rec that always resonated with me: (At a Halloween party) Andy: Weren't you a pirate last year? Ron: Yes. This is my Halloween costume. Great video. Now subscribed.
This is the best video you’ve ever made, and I’ve watched almost all of them. Your journey through products, minimalism, and intentionality is inspiring and always brightens up my day. Thank you for the time and care you put into making your videos, and the thoughtful insight you bring to all the subjects you discuss. I look forward to continuing this journey alongside you for many years to come.
I counter that statement with the video chase made “ headphone death match” I mean I frickin love that video, I bought the Bose QC 35ii headphones following that video and I watch it again and again it’s outstanding, thank you chase your review it was sublime, thank you my good man 👏🏻
As a woman I like to wear leggings and I wear them all year long, the good thing about them is that they pack really small so I can have one on and 2-3 spare without taking too much space. I travel with a 30-35L bag which fits under the seat, but I tend to put it up in the compartment if there is space and have just my fanny pack at my seat with earphones (noise canceling!) phone, kindle passport, chap-stick, snacks and water bottle.
I love minimal travel ever since I started watching your videos. I've figured out what i do and don't need and it takes me literally 10mins to pack for a weekend or for a few weeks away. Takes my wife days to pack! Spending the time and money to figure out what works for yourself is definitely the best advise here!
Howdy Chase. I'm a plus size senior female who LOVES your video reviews and subscribed last year. For the past week I've been working on my minimal travel capsule wardrobe. This video is perfect timing. It is THE BEST minimal packing review (of the dozens) that I've watched on RUclips. Philosophical points #1 and #2 are outstanding. Just last week I figured out what is my most comfy summer 'uniform'. I only travel during warm summer temps. So my lounge uniform is a tank tunic untucked over shorts with pockets + flip-flops. #3 - My fave travel day 'pants' are a pair of plus size black leggings I found online with 4 pockets! #4 - For underwear, years ago a lady online suggested wearing pantiliners in nylon undies to deal with our 'funk'. #5 - I am STILL looking for my best toiletries/dopp kit. The kit I use now is a clear, foldable hanging toiletry bag. IT's about half the width of a small shoebox. It's too awkward and takes up SO MUCH space. But I need a lot of meds, which it holds - so it works for now. But my actual liquids I decanted down to the snack bag size! yay! [I use the hotel's shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer(rarely), towels, razor - so I don't pack those]. For deodorant, I travel with a couple of travel packets instead of a stick container. Same for SPF 30. I have naturally curly hair so don't usually 'brush ' my hair. I just take a wide tooth comb for shampoo days. I spritz with water from a tiny spray bottle I pack to revive my curls and finger comb in the a.M. or when needed. . In the past few months, as I prepare for my first 'minimal packing' vacation this summer 2019, I found that it takes an OBSESSIVE amount of hard thinking to analyze out what I truly really NEED when I travel vs. what I WANT to take or that might look 'cute'. Your videos helped a lot! fyi, I stopped doing those crazy mushrooms decades ago...Good luck on your MOVE - wow! Thanks for this great video. Peace.
Absolutely! Sometime ago I went from the typical small trolley to a small backpack in planes, and the feeling as you say, to be able to board the plane when you feel like and not having to stress about how to get your stuff in one of the luggage compartments, is just awesome! It makes an enormous difference!! Keep it up man!!!
Your comment about the one bag that fits under your seat ... Gold! I was one of those guys who would be tense and stressed at the gate, jockeying for position long before they started boarding my section, because I was worried about not having any room overhead for my carryon. Then I did the one bag thing. So much better! I didn’t get up until after they called out my section, just strolled on board, secure in the knowledge that there was a place for my bag at my feet. Then after landing, I just pick it up and go. No worry about getting something out of the overhead without holding up the line of people or knocking someone out as I pulled down the bag. Bliss!!! 👍
I just did my first one bag trip with the 30L Topo Travel Bag, which I got inspired to try because of this channel. Thoughts? That thing is awesome! Straightforward, yet organized. The size is perfect, and I simply love the ridiculous, funky look of the bag. Chase is right, the experience of traveling with one minimal setup is bliss, once you get a feel for it, and I'd say a good compact bag alone will make you prioritize and think about what you actually need on the road. Ya'll can bet I'll be honing and focusing my kit, both for travel and living in general, even further in the coming months and years. 🙌🏻
I will say that for women, vaginal discharge is daily and the majority of women deal with it. It makes wearing the same undies more than once harder. I find the exofficios for women are easy to wash and dry overnight so that is my solution and I just take one more pair than you do. Also, pants are different for me. I can't just take one pair of jeans because, after the third wear, they are done and hard to wash in the sink. So I take two jeans, 4-6 shirts, and a dress or I take 4 dresses and two pairs of leggings which are far easier to wash in a sink.
I have 1 word for you: vodka. Spray the crotch with vodka after each wear and you probably won't have to wash them for the entire trip (I recommend taking an oil sprayer bottle and buy a demi bottle of vodka when you get there to fill it)
I'm finding all your bag reviews super helpful, and this is a great video as well. Although I wish clothing designers/manufacturers would consistently produce the same clothing pieces so once you find something you like, you can repurchase the same thing down the road.
I found that as a lady for business travel, silk was a game changer - I have a 100% silk black top that I can travel in for multiple days, wash and dry quickly, and then wear to meetings. About to invest in some silk joggers too. Thanks for the video!
re: minimalism documentary - you should reach out to the director of the doc, Matt D'Avella. He's got a podcast that's right up your alley, I'm sure he'd have you on.
The best thing about black jeans, is that you can just dye them black again when they get too faded. But if you blow out crotches of jeans, look into getting them darned. There are companies that will do it for you. If you are dropping the cash for some nice jeans, you might as well invest in getting them repaired.
This is my favorite video you have ever posted, not sure you will see this but I just watched your latest video and I’m legitimately praying for you. I owe nearly every way I dress and travel to you… you are a joy to watch. I hope you grow stronger than ever from the trial you are going through. Much Love
Great tips Chase! I enjoy both the "low-fi" and "hi-vi" versions of your on-screen persona. Hopefully there will be a number #2 that covers stuff like jackets, working at cafes, airport tricks, parenting travel tips, etc.
Chase you are a guru. I’ve been loving this minimal philosophy life coach shit since I found your channel after stumbling upon one of your bag reviews. Also, I recommend folks take a look at the sea to summit toiletry kit. I looked at several and it’s the one I finally went with. Made out of nice material, good organization for my needs, super light and easily cleanable, and it’s very compactable for travel. Best dopp I’ve found yet for my money.
You nailed it. Joy is something I never considered while traveling. I do it at the last minute. I overpack. And my trip usually starts with misery rather than joy. And I carry that attitude with me. No more.
This is fantastic Chase, thank you for the good vibes. I feel this channel is one of those rare finds on RUclips before it's blown up and feels like great serendipity at work. We are all looking forward to see what you make of this, keep it up.
Got to say I am really into things that hold things and this channel has only gotten more and more entertaining since I subscribed about a year ago. CHASE you kill the game! This video is like the chorus to the typical bag review verses! Great job man keep em coming!
Dude, you have totally validated my mindset and feelings around clothes and gear! Thank you, thank you! Ive learned how much stuff I don't need from solo Backcountry adventures in the Rockies. Carry around too much stuff for 10+ hours a day for a week straight and you'll find out real quick what you don't need.
Killer video dude. Just love hearing you talk & share your thoughts on this subject. I started selling off so many of my possessions before I drove from California to New York last July. I traveled there with only what I could fit in my car (mostly filmmaking gear and clothing). And two months ago I drove back from New York to where I’m settled now in Utah, with half of what I had last July! And since moving into my apartment in Utah I’ve sold and donated so many more of those things you think you need, but once you live without, you feel so liberated. It’s so freeing to know what you’re looking at in your closet is EVERYTHING. That there isn’t more in storage, or in a hidden cabinet, or in “Space Bags” somewhere out of sight. I don’t think I’ll ever be a gnarly, hard-core minimalist, because I am a traveling filmmaker & photographer and do need my fair share of “junk,” but nonetheless, my life at home has been so much more relaxing and stress-free since getting rid of the unnecessary. It’s a hard feeling to describe, but I appreciate you for also doing your best to share the perspective with others! So rad
I was folding my laundry, and literally right when I’m folding my Exofficio boxer briefs your segment on them came up... btw - they are great, they’ve been my only boxer briefs for at least 10 years. They not only rock for travel or other body-odor inducing situations, but they also last a long time. Out of 10 pairs, maybe 1-2 lost their elasticity after multiple years of use. Big fan.
Chase- the logistics of your living out of airbnbs full time and now the cohabitation with another family would be fascinating to learn more about. You offer little insights sprinkled in your videos and I think an entire video on that would be awesome like your Q&A episode. For example, what do you do with all your bags that you receive while being nomadic? Do you ship them back home? So many fascinating logistics. Just telling companies where to ship things to when you are on the go must be a challenge especially for the overseas imports that could take many weeks.
Omg I was literally just watching heaps of videos about how to pack minimally and got bummed knowing you haven't made one and then boom, to my surprise here you are :)
Love the message of this video. Just finished testing my capsule wardrobe for minimal travel in Europe with my Aer travel pack next month! It was a great exercise to relieve the anxiety of weight limits for intra continental flights. As for womens pants and undies, I agree with the previous commenter that it's impossible to bring so few but panty liners are a must for travel for those just in case situations. Pants get dirty too quickly and are heavy so I resort to leggings, since they're socially acceptable now. Thanks for the thoughtful content!
Hmm. I'm not totally comfortable with REPLACING pants with tights (altho I'll always bring tights for layering up); conversely I have decided to embrace the bike short in lieu of shorts - much lighter (weight) than denim shorts, layer easily, can usually wear as boardies in a pinch, (can often get with pockets 🤗), good for working out
This video is GREAT! Can’t believe I missed it when it came out. I just unloaded 85 pieces of clothes off my hangers in the closet and it feels awesome!
Definitely food for thought. I’ll be in Italy for 3 months and boy, am I putting in the time here to figure some things out. I’ve travelled a bunch but I’m ready for the next level of minimal travel. Pulling the trigger on the Peak Design🤞🏽😺
You mentioned traveling the country in AirBNBs with your family - my husband and I are seriously considering doing this (with our toddler in tow), do you have any videos/advice on this lifestyle? Thanks a million
7:10 You dont know how much I relate to what Chase just said; I've been looking for some decent and correct fitting pants for almost 4 years since I've stopped the search just last year. What Chase said about "You have to spend the time, you have to spend the money." Many of us and if not all, are caught up about saving money saving money saving money, when in reality we should be spending the time to find a great pants, computer, or anything that you know you'll be using for a while. Buy yourself something that you'll be happy with and even spend a little bit more money to have the quality you've been searching for.
This is great Chase! Really gonna try this minimalist thing. I find myself, like you said, worrying too much about the small shit like "what to wear." I think this would be good for me! Well done sir!
This was a lot deeper than the title suggests - already knew that there's more to you than bags, but this will actually make me rethink my closet and life. Thanks! Also: Your whole life approach seems to be interesting (being someone not having kids yet, but planning to) - would you mind doing a video on what you're doing at the moment?
From my days in college (aged 17) and for the next 30 years I had my trousers tailor made to my own design. Same with the formal suit I needed for work. The cost was under 10% different to off the shelf clothes that didn't fit or function as I wanted. Unfortunately the skill seems to have disappeared. Even 20 years ago what I got back was not what I asked for in design and it became too much of a hassle to always argue and then wait to get fixed. We are close to the stage where clothes can be laser cut and made up locally so you get clothes that fit, the fashion you choose to wear from designers anywhere in the world. Even knitwear made to your specs by the time you have finished the grocery shopping. The clothing industry is the second biggest polluters in waste and energy. A very high percentage of trending clothes end up in landfill. Sourcing locally picking quality materials and designs that spark joy - it can't happen soon enough Same with the food we eat. I see all those wonderful large shinny fruit in the shops and none come close in taste to what I pick off my trees every autumn. Locally sourced food, fresh to the shop that day from just down the road grown with out a ton of chemicals poured on top. Do the research, intentional living and you might find that you do have more time not less to enjoy those choices.
Funnily enough, Marko and Alex Ayling, the Vagabrothers, have shown me that it is not that "different for women". Found a modern, narrow fit pair of culottes (don't cringe, styles change) that are a great stand-in for a skirt (no chafing), and check out Lisa Eldridge's tips on three make-up items. 26 litres are enough! (Tom Bihn Smart Alec, unfortunately, discontinued, but the Synik or the Brain Bag are good alternatives!
Haven't seen one of your videos in a while, guess youtube for some reason thought I'd taken a break from bag addiction (which I kinda did). Find stuff like this soothing and fun. I have a travel system but I still haven't pared down more than backpack, sack for extra pillows, large duffel. I can do a single carryon rolling bag for a few days but longer than that and I have to leave out essentials.
The 33 thing is called Project 333 and I think pijamas, underwear and so on aren't included but you know, the less, the better. Personally I can't live with justone pair of socks. PS like so much your content, keep making great videos
I know this is a. year late but you can often wear your clothes as pajamas. I've been doing project 333 for a few years now and I've gotten rid of all lounge wear. You'd be surprised how you can wear the same shorts, leggings, sweatpants to sleep and lounge around the house that you use for working out. Just keep 2 pairs and you can switch em out when you sleep or work out.
Hi just discovering you videos and love it  as a woman i can tell a very good tip to know about jeans is : use men jeans (maybe someone has said it before but I can't stress it enough ). Women's jeans are generally thinner and more fragile, and have tiny pockets. Men's jeans are much more comfortable and have very large pockets that allow you to easily carry your phone and wallet (i swear with women clothes you just can't do this). It's a real life-changer, especially for travel. Very good thing to know !
Impressive talk, important. Freeing up working memory measurably improves intelligence (IQ). What usually wastes working memory among the poor is the worry over money. As soon as the subjects receive adequate funds, their IQs rise significantly (almost a whole standard deviation). Minimal travelling should help me survive my first trip overseas, now that I will have some freed up cognitive work space. Thanks!
You almost lost me with the re-wearing of Undies, LOL. But the overall message of living minimal, living intentional, invest your money in just what you need, speaks to me in where my family is at right now.
Yes! Backpacks are magic. You put some dirty, smelly clothes in there, carry it around for a couple of days and then you take them out: they are magically clean enough to wear. Amazing.
@@dangermandave67 well, we're talking about lightly worn underwear here... and my advice would be leave them out - hanging on a chair? - overnight, not stuffed deep in your magic backpack.
Please keep doing what you do! I have been following you since pretty early on, and I really appreciate that you have kept doing what you set out to do. Thank you!
My question would be this. I travel internationally for work and often times I find myself having to dress more business formal than casual, any future videos for maybe a couple of suit options and how to be balanced but still minimal?
I have watched a ton of your videos(clicked like on all) but this video was one of your best yet! Please keep up the great reviews and funny content. Cheers.
@Moni Dag for what it's worth, I've traveled in Europe for the last 10 years and only wear one pair of shoes - my hiking boots. But I only wear those in my regular life too! I wear jeans most of the time at home, the same pair of Levi's, that's what I wear in Germany. It let's me have space to bring back a dirndl every trip! It's great. And I still get to bring a little makeup. Most women who are posting "pack with me" videos really are packing a lot of stuff. Men usually pack less. The only thing that really should change how I really make me pack different is if I have a really different trip. Like instead of castle hunting and museum visits, if I were on business obviously I would take different stuff. But that's all. A frame of reference helps.
Chase this was the most entertaining and enjoyable talking video like this I have ever seen. Absolutely love your authentic opinions and stepping into complexity is brilliant. Also the Predator Dopp kit bit was hilarious, Subscribed!
I like this philosophical conversation. Minimalism in terms of travel or life in general probably means different things for different people. For me, I also think about only DOING what I need as well as only HAVING what I need. We often waste time doing unnecessary little things (e.g. mindlessly watching RUclips videos and writing comments. LOL) that kept you from doing the necessary things, or plan to do too much in a given time that you couldn't accomplish. I think that could apply to traveling. I'd also like to comment on another aspect of traveling. I usually travel alone. Then I am free, I am myself, my attention only goes to me and the world I am traveling in, and I am often touched by kindness of strangers I come across or have conversations with, all that much more intensely because I don't have travel companions. Couldn't that be also called minimalism in terms of travel?
Chase if you think those ecxofficios are the greatest things that don’t absorb funk wait until you finally try icebreaker undies. I can make it one maybe two days before exofficios get funky, Icebreaker’s can go 5 days Easily.
Hey my dude! You my man should start a podcast ASAP! Can’t get enough of the off the cuff, nonchalant humor!! Oh and the info is excellent as well! Love LOVE it 👍
Merino wool everything, Great pair of multi-use pants and thankful my wife doesn't wear makeup. And no doubt a great backpack, still using my Tom Bihn you recommended. Love that it doesn't stand out so I don't look like a tourist to pray on.
I actually just saw a pair of merino pants online that I think might tick so many of my long pant needs (not WANTS precisely but definitely needs). I saw these men's merino track pants on merino unbound (I think) and wondered if I could find some women's merino yoga pants, which I did but then saw the straight pants and realised they could be track pants AND dress pants - and all-climate wear
Solving the pill bottle problem is high on my list. I've seen cute discreet pill holders...they don't have enough space for me. I've considered the affordable baggy option...clearly a space saver...Im concerned about having to explain pills (prescription and vitamins) in a baggy to the TSA. Should this be a concern?
I have peeled the label off the larger bottles and put them on smaller empty pill bottles with enough pills for my travel time plus one week in case of delays. For travel meds like Advil, Tylenol, Imodium, gravol I have put enough for just the trip days in small pill clear zippered pouches with a label on them
I've never dealt with Native deodorant but I cant recommend enough SoapWalla deodorant. 100% friendly (raw, vegan, gluten free) and works! Neutralizes order like nothing I've used before. Also comes in a small glass jar. It's a paste. Awesome video! Love your channel. I just found it tonight. Loved and subbed. Bless ॐ
The 'Carhartt WIP Sid Pants' have worked great for me. I used one pair for over 5 years and they held up nicely. (Just got a grey one a few days ago) For shoes I'm trying out the 'Timberland Adventure 2.0 Cupsole Oxfords' really looking forward to see how they'll hold up after a few years of wear.
I thought Chase was going to tell us what was in the Lakota scout's satchel. My guess is: a pipe plus weed, a wineskin full of H2O, jerky, corn pone, a poncho, cacao beans and a local map drawn on buffalo hide!! :-)
Great video. Love the message. The background setting is not exactly a picture of minimalism though. Glad your not OCD about it. Checkout Thunderbolt jeans and over shirt and ridge merino wool underwear.
I really likes thunderbolt but had a very bad experience with customer service. I was ghosted after they told me to return some pants to be replaces. Shame but I can't shop their anymore
Frickin’ Utah! Yeah!! EDIT: Just got the AER Travel Pack 2.0 (based on your and Pack Hacker’s review) and for me it’s definitely a hybrid bag. The compression straps keep it thin and svelte for everyday use. I have been using it as a daily carry for the past week, and will be testing it on a trip this weekend. Thanks Chase! Keep it up!
Man, youre awesome. I have a flight today for a week and I'm taking a 28L backpack only and I still have room! Thanks! It's really crazy what happens when you just think differently. Like everyone else...wheres MY bag? Big enough but small enough to get through European airlines..Aer 2?? Maybe?
Maxine Z Recently bought an Aer Flight Pack 2, after seeing many videos here, and just came back from my first trip with it, it's absolutely awesome! Very happy with it! 👍🏻 Actually travelled on two European flights with it and had no problems getting in the cabin with it and putting it beside me.
Great video mate! Im a bit of a on and off backpacker. I was just wondering how and what you are packing for like. Be in a city, go to the beach, to do some small/day hiking? I would love to drop the check luggage. And cut down to maximum carry on size bag, for some more freedom. A video about this would be great. Cheers.
Don't know how ofter you comment on old videos... but have you found a dopp kit that works well both as a bathroom counter 'sitter' as well as has an option to hang from a hook.. I have found I do not always have the space to just set down my dopp on the counter and REALLY don't like placing it on the toilet tank lid (yuck).. maybe something with a flap that goes over the top of the zipper that has a built in hook, kinda messenger bag style?
You've got a capsule wardrobe, if all your clothes are interchangeable, all of them have pretty much the same colour scheme and go along with each other. The goal is, that you can pick a pair of shoes, pants, shirt, jacket without looking and they just match perfectly. I like to use grey and navy for mine, also earthy tones are great as well, just nutural colours and not neon orange or whatever. 😊
If you’re a RUclipsr and traveling a lot with the family, without having a regular “normal” job, what do you do for health insurance? Or retirement saving?
Do you have travel insurance AND health insurance ? If you are in a different country and were robbed or lost all of your belongings, including money, credit, debit cards...do you have an emergency plan ? Thx !!!
The LEMs primal 2 are my go to barefoot sneaker. They aren't the sexiest shoes around, but they are incredibly comfortable and relatively affordable. LEMs is a great company.
This is the best video I’ve seen of yours. Introspective and funny, and now I know you are never in your own house! Gonna talk to my wife about the 333 thing. Thanks for the ‘tip’
If you blow your crotch out on jeans you likely have either a leg length discrepancy (more than normal) or a flat/flattish arch. Basically the shorter leg or leg with the fallen foot arch falls in and rubs because of the mechanics. Hence rubbing and holes.
Do you have a video on various clothes and gear cleaning tips, tricks, and hacks? I think that being confident in my ability to sufficiently clean something, remove a stain, etc.-- from my clothing especially -- would make it easier for me to get down to the bare essentials. As a "two is one, one is none" guy, that's been a tricky bit for me.
TK42DAN I saw your comment and though I’d answer, hope this helps - when traveling I bring a small part of a bar of laundry soap and ox gall soap (great stain remover for all fabrics) and a drybag (normally used for keeping gear dry, packs really small) which I use for doing laundry (just add warm water and soap and shake it up, much more convenient than a hotel sink).
I cant believe that there are people out there that seriously think that 'geniuses' wear the same clothes every day so they dont waste time on choosing their clothes. The gullibility makes me laugh
"let it take time, let it take money". This tip right here blew my mind. Dovetails nicely with the spark joy thing. Everything you have or keep should be the stuff you like the most and best fits your needs. No point holding on to stuff for 'just because' reasons...or buyer's remorse.
The bit about minimizing clothing in your closet reminded me of a scene from Parks and Rec that always resonated with me:

Ron: Yes. This is my Halloween costume.

Excellent!
Chase Reeves was that comment directed at vaginal discharge or the clothing solutions? 🤔😆
IMAGIIINE
Yes please do this. Chase you have so much to offer the world. Your vibe is awesome.
This NEEDS to happen!
“We all have buttholes.” That’s right up there with “ferrel people” as one of my favorite Chaseisms😂
The best thing about black jeans, is that you can just dye them black again when they get too faded. But if you blow out crotches of jeans, look into getting them darned. There are companies that will do it for you. If you are dropping the cash for some nice jeans, you might as well invest in getting them repaired.
Rick Steve's mantra was "Pack light, pack light"... and what was his phrase, "Nobody ever says, next year I want to pack heavier!"
Amen!
So rad
Hey Chase, I’ve been minimal traveling for years now. Just discovered your great channel and vibe. You speak lots of truths. Thanks brother
Let’s try the 33 wardrobe things. I already cut it down to 50 but revolution is coming 💪
Thanks for giving us "just the tip" much appreciated.
Seriously, best part of the whole video.
Archer! 😂
😉😏
You mentioned traveling the country in AirBNBs with your family - my husband and I are seriously considering doing this (with our toddler in tow), do you have any videos/advice on this lifestyle? Thanks a million

You dont know how much I relate to what Chase just said; I've been looking for some decent and correct fitting pants for almost 4 years since I've stopped the search just last year.
Have ordered an underseat tote for my 4 week trip to Europe next month. Travelling light is freeing.
Sourcing locally picking quality materials and designs that spark joy - it can't happen soon enough
Same with the food we eat.
Why did somebody dislike this video? I dislike that decision.
Yeah I want to beat them up. Chase Reeves is awesome!

I've watched a tone of travel videos and I think this was by far my best one, thank you for sharing.
Thanks!
Probably one of the best videos you’ve made, Chase.
Thank you 🙏
You almost lost me with the re-wearing of Undies, LOL. But the overall message of living minimal, living intentional, invest your money in just what you need, speaks to me in where my family is at right now.
It’s hard for me to listen to anyone for 40 minutes, you’re different fam. Keep doing what you’re doing
Came here to learn to fold sox ended up becoming a doomsday prepper
underwear tip - don't wear the same pair day after day, rotate! yes, wear more than once, but let them air out/relax between wearings.
yes - that point was missing. And it goes for ladies too. The undies need to be aired out 1 day before re-wearing.
Totally. Want to find some tricks for you suited up folks. The struggle is real.
WRITE A BOOK. You’ve got so much to offer man.
I have watched a ton of your videos(clicked like on all) but this video was one of your best yet! Please keep up the great reviews and funny content. Cheers.
Cheers.
🙏 please have your wife (or at least her perspective) in a video for a female perspective and tips.
see my comment of 3/3/2019
@Moni Dag for what it's worth, I've traveled in Europe for the last 10 years and only wear one pair of shoes - my hiking boots.
Yeah the minimal travel/practical life thing is often man-oriented. I'm trying to help at pocketarian.com but don't have the time to make a dent.
I’m too tall and my feet are too big to put a bag under the seat. I think the. Size of my clothes and shoes would make one bag travel, difficult.
I am going to try just the tips, just to see how it feels. Might change my life, thanks Chase.
Chase this was the most entertaining and enjoyable talking video like this I have ever seen. Absolutely love your authentic opinions and stepping into complexity is brilliant. Also the Predator Dopp kit bit was hilarious, Subscribed!
Worth sticking to the end ( no, no sticky end!) for the choir.
I did 3 months with 3 pants, 3 t-shirts, 1 sweater, and 1 short. Plus underwear and socks.
Binge watching these videos. So funny and entertaining yet informative.
Yes and yes.
What sucks is when you find that perfect pair of pants, shoes or whatever and then they are discontinued when you need to replace them.
Love LOVE it 👍
He has had a podcast since 2013 fizzle.co/show
You need to read the Lonesome Dove series asap.
YOU TRIMMED THE HOBO BEARD! Looks good dude.
Also - check out the Defy Bucktown backpack I'm interested in your thoughts.
Now it’s the hobo handlebars.
I have never gotten stopped for pills and I bring a bunch in a plastic bag.
@@chasereeves Thanks!
I have peeled the label off the larger bottles and put them on smaller empty pill bottles with enough pills for my travel time plus one week in case of delays. For travel meds like Advil, Tylenol, Imodium, gravol I have put enough for just the trip days in small pill clear zippered pouches with a label on them
Hi Chase ! I would really love if you make a review about the Patagonia Planing Roll Top 35L and the Fjallraven Ülvo 30L
A video about minimal travel packing tips... was not expecting to hear the term “Groinal Leakage”!! XD
Get used to this kind of hard hitting reporting
I've never dealt with Native deodorant but I cant recommend enough SoapWalla deodorant. 100% friendly (raw, vegan, gluten free) and works! Neutralizes order like nothing I've used before. Also comes in a small glass jar. It's a paste.
Awesome video! Love your channel. I just found it tonight.
Loved and subbed. Bless ॐ
Chase should be the original Marie Kondo before Marie Kondo became the Marie Kondo
She sparks joy tho
Every day I soap up the exo’s in the sink and throw them in the shower. Looks like a luffa to me!
I feel like women should get at least 36 items, guys don't have bras.
The 'Carhartt WIP Sid Pants' have worked great for me. I used one pair for over 5 years and they held up nicely. (Just got a grey one a few days ago)
For shoes I'm trying out the 'Timberland Adventure 2.0 Cupsole Oxfords' really looking forward to see how they'll hold up after a few years of wear.
"What is in the fucking satchel?" Lmao they should've done a what's in my bag back then
I thought Chase was going to tell us what was in the Lakota scout's satchel. My guess is: a pipe plus weed, a wineskin full of H2O, jerky, corn pone, a poncho, cacao beans and a local map drawn on buffalo hide!! :-)
Strive for a place where one more thing too much, but one less is not enough.
@@chispito6986 oh great to hear, I think I'm gonna go with that one, I've researching forever and keep going back to that one. thanks for the info!
Maxine Z Yes! I've seen all videos several times 🤣 and went finally for the Aer! Great bag!
Cheers.
man i like that flannel you're wearing
Love to see more of these "chat with chase" sit down videos.
Thanks Chase!! Ill be checking out Marine Layer. They seem like an awesome company with a great goal
Best video in this genre that I’ve seen, and I’ve seen quite a few. Much appreciated.
I like to spice up my neutral capsule wardrobe with bright pops of color - especially yellow, orange and red.
If you’re a RUclipsr and traveling a lot with the family, without having a regular “normal” job, what do you do for health insurance? Or retirement saving?
Probably pays for health insurance and saves/invests.
Do a best backpacks for college students video
Am I the only one hearing Ned Flanders "it feels like I'm wearing nothing at all" at 2:08 ??
If you blow your crotch out on jeans you likely have either a leg length discrepancy (more than normal) or a flat/flattish arch. Basically the shorter leg or leg with the fallen foot arch falls in and rubs because of the mechanics. Hence rubbing and holes.
Net: get arch support or orthotic inlay! Problem solved (and if you have back problems that's probably why too)
Great video. I just got back from a trip a week ago. I'm gonna have to try those pants. My experience with selvedge jeans has been the same.
@@npigwnl That sounds like a great idea! Thanks for sharing.
I cant believe that there are people out there that seriously think that 'geniuses' wear the same clothes every day so they dont waste time on choosing their clothes. The gullibility makes me laugh
Very cool, Chase. Enlightening & encouraging! Thank you
