Thanks for those tips. I have a few to share as we are a family of 4 so I need to make family traveling easier:
    - preprinted adhesive address Avery labels for airport luggage tags,
-label the passports with each persons names so you can get to them quick (Im keeper of all passports)
    - bring a foldable sturdy duffle to pack all the dirty laundry...leaving the luggages for purchased goods
    - bring a couple plastic hangers just in case

Yep wearing coat layers has been the strategy my mom uses when she sends me to airport

Compression socks are really good to wear for anyone who sits for long periods of time, this includes work! If you’re a desk jockey, you should be wearing compression socks daily (and the medical versions are available as knee highs for those who don’t want to wear socks).
For bottles of liquids (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc.), cut a small piece of plastic bag, Saran or cling wrap, and wrap it around the opening of the bottle, then put the lid back on over top of the plastic. Helps immensely with leaks.

For the toiletry bag extra, during the holidays makeup places such as Sephora and Ulta sell sets at a discount which you can put in the bag. Also for traveling to different countries if you need to use an outlet converter by one and then plug in a power strip so you are able to plug in more then one item.

I'm doing a trip to Japan and Korea and just bought new luggage (a 26" and 20" hard cases with the carry on having a laptop front) I was going to bring another suitcase also in my checked bag! I thought about getting a 28" but usually those are already so heavy that I feel adding my souvenirs will weight it over easily

I Some places in Europe you have to pay to use the toilet even in restaurants and super markets. So I always get a small amount of cash from the ATM and then pay in cash to get a small item so I can have the lowest denomination, it usually costs about 1 euro for the toilet. You will also need a 1 euro coin to get a shopping cart.

Mostly the important thing for me when I'm going to travel in a foreign country where English isn't the main language, always ask do you speak English. Other things like Can I ask witch way is the mall for example, or anything . Just be brace and not be nervous to ask. That's the one thing, I'll try not to be nervous while traveling to Portugal at the end of next month
