Minimalist pack with me as I pack only the essentials for a week-long trip to Madrid, Spain! :) I have to bring a lot of things for a secret project I'm working on...which only leaves me room to pack what I NEED! I will be taking just one luggage to Europe and hopefully can bring stuff back for my family. Pack with me and prepare for a travel vlog! I will be traveling alone again :')

Ty so much!! Others have been super sweet. I think the lady at the baggage claim counter must’ve been really tired or something haha🥲. I’ve seen a few others who also tether their phone to their belongings, but I also see so many people walking outside that it makes me feel safer 💕

I’m a flight attendant and I’ve had my bag stolen so many times I’m ashamed to say how many times. I invested in an AirTag about 6months in because I was over it. Then last summer the airline lost my luggage took a day to get it back
Oh noooooo 😭😭 as a flight attendant I’m sure you’re so tired and just want to go home and rest - so to have your bag stolen is the worst 😞

10:33, I am curious, what airline did you fly from Los Angeles to Madrid via London? Before leaving the check in counter, always tell the staff, luggage is tag all the way to, Madrid, even though you have a 2 or 6 hour transit in London.
British airways! They knew final destination was Madrid but they..somehow… decided to leave it behind even still 😭😭

Only yesterday I talked about this with my sister. I was like: Did you know that Americans think Europe is unsafe because of pickpockets? I guess that if you keep your handbag close to you then there's nothing to worry about. And nobody ever tried to steal my phone from my hands before.
But... I might just look poor 😅
How long after getting your wisdom teeth removed did the holes patch up and you could eat like normal again ?
eating normally took me 2 weeks while my husband only took 5 days hahaha. The holes fully patched up in like 3 months for me T___T but I know younger people heal faster hehe

Maya, did you do reserch about weather you´re allowed , to bring your supplements into the country, in wich you travel ? It´s importand. I, vor example , am not allowed, to bring my supplements into the U.S. You get no penalty , but they take your supplements from you at the airport and throw them to garbage, so they were wasted. You have to get all new in spain, if that´s the case.

Honestly, pickpocketing is a thing in a few European big cities, but grabbing a phone out of your hand?😅 I’ve never heard of that. By the way, Europe is not a country, so it’s better when you’re referring to a specific place rather than saying generally, because we differ from each other significantly :) have a great and safe trip!
I think I read too many people sharing on reddit of things getting snatched from their hands T__T! And AH CONTINENT** the teacher in me is rolling my own eyes at myself. Yes, every country is so unique in history and culture!

Great video! You had lots of grace and patience while waiting for your bags. The AirTag is a great idea. However… just being honest, you don’t need to mention your husband every five seconds. He’s part of your life but not all married people are joined at the hip. Live your life, if you travel alone, so be it. You owe no one an explanation for your husband not going. Don’t lose your identity as Maya because you’re married. And don’t let anyone make you feel like you have to explain or empathize your marriage. Your true fans know.
