I love him. Very natural. Genius, Has a good sense of humor. People think he is a diva but that's not true. And also, he is not the first person to go solo.
This interview is simply the best, Freddie is so sincere and natural, I loved his reaction (If you can react to a solo song by Freddie, especially Living on my own, the official clip was recorded during his 39th birthday if I'm not mistaken, it's very good and was censored for a long time because it was recorded in a famous nightclub gay, luckily today it is available on the Freddie Mercury Solo channel)
BTW, re. Freddie & Michael’s duet “State Of Shock”… That song IS available on YT. (It’s an unpolished demo, but still FANTASTIC.) They also did another song… a ballad written by Freddie “There Must Be More To Life Than This”.
This interview was one that I had not seen in a long time. Thank you for doing this! Yes the collab between Freddie and Michael produced some really great music. "There Must Be More to Life Than This" and "State of Shock" is worth checking out at some point. I think they are demo's only.

Thank you ...about how different the members of Queen were from each other...there’s a pic of them sitting outside on grass...I think it was taken in Japan...I call it “know them by their footwear”.....John wearing sandals...Roger wearing trainers....Brian wearing clogs and Freddie wearing ballet shoes....that’s how diverse they were🤩
Freddie hated being interviewed, but when he had done one, he was funny, authentic, honest, he gave just himself. Freddie always remained Freddie under his "Mercury coat." Pls, check out the Time interview with Freddie and Dave Clark for some more fun.

This interview with Freddie was made by Rudi Dolezal, who at the time was a young, smart and daring music jurnalist and became a director of many Queen videos, starting with One vision and sadly two last ones with Freddie, I'm going slightly mad and These are the days if our lives ... followed with Brians, Rogers and Johns tearbreaking farewell song to Freddie No one but you (Only the good die young) in 1997 😢 ... Rudi and Freddie became close friends after One vision and the friendship never ended. Rudi has done a awesome documentary of Freddie called Freddie Mercury - The untold story.

Not 13 Albums, 13 years togerher as queen in 1984. They had 10 Albums then i guess. You could react to freddie's solo song ' in my defence' and the queen songs ' face it alone' and ' don't try so hard'
