Yes, the prince was a little light in the loafers. The crazy Irishman you didn't trust is in fact King Steven of Cork the exiled King of Ireland. So. when he says Ireland is HIS island, that's because It IS his island. And yes, the beautiful French princess so desperately wanted love and yes, William gave her the love she so desired.

28:30 - While this isn't "historically accurate", and it IS a "movie"... it is also trying to be as realistic as possible. Hamish, Steven, and others being in the crowd, knew that they had ZERO chance of rescuing William. They HAD to let him be executed, despite their willingness to die to free him.
I suggest looking up the "real" history behind this film, and compare it to what we see on screen. As good... nay... amazing as this movie is.... it is STILL just "a movie". Much like Titanic (which is about as historically true, and maybe more so). With all that said, this **IS** an amazing movie, from the music, to the acting, to the cinematography..... it IS a near perfect movie. It's just not "historically accurate".
We all can fantasize about what we'd do were we in the crowd... but the reality is that not a single one of us could do anything to help William, without being killed in the process, except making his death more drawn out and painful.
The absolute BEST they could do, is live to escape, call up an army, and win the day later on with William as their Martyr.

Hi and thanks for reacting to Braveheart. I love this movie it brings the proud Scot out in me. I live just outside Glasgow in the west of Scotland and an hour from Edinburgh. This is one of my fave movies despite it historical inaccuracies. In stirling there is the Wallace monument. When William Wallace was hung, drawn and quartered (disembowelled ) by the english his body was torn to pieces as a warning to the Scots but it didn’t have the affect they were hoping it would. A part of his body was sent to Stirling so the Wallace Monument was built and you can go inside it etc his broadsword which stands over 5ft is there too. Thanks again, Take care 😘🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Alba Gu Braith (gaelic for Scotland is great)

I lived in Scotland when they were filming this movie. I have climbed Wallace Monument a few times. This movie does a great job of capturing the beauty of Scotland.

@@RiccardoReacts187 if you ever get a chance, I know the title of the movie is going to sound weird starring Tom Cruise but, the Last Samurai movie is pretty dope. It’s also an epic like Braveheart and Gladiator…also American History X is a banger and has a lot to do with things happening today. But that’s if you ever get time or feel like doing em. Be Ez! Looking forward to your next reaction.

I love this movie, more than any other movie I have watched, I have seen Braveheart 20-30 times, and watched reactions to it at least 50 times, and never get bored of it. The reason I love this movie so much is because I'm Scottish, and live only about 7 or 8 miles from where William Wallace lived.

You should check out the movie Outlaw King it's a side story about Robert the Bruce and how he became the king of Scotland it's really good and the end war speech is also very good not as great as William Wallace battle speech but still awesome nonetheless

    Bruce didn't betray William.
It's not even confirmed that they met at all.

Braveheart doesn’t show all the torture that the real William Wallace endured because it would have made the movie too graphic for audiences to watch so they toned it down a little. Have you ever thought of reacting to the reboot planet of the apes trilogy Rise, Dawn, War and now we have an new one Kingdom? To me these films are masterpieces and criminally unappreciated and underrated. Andy Serkis plays the ape Caesar using motion capture technology. I’m positive you would enjoy the trilogy. Kingdom is still in the cinema at the moment. Caesar leads an ape revolution. I subbed because you reacted to Braveheart and hopefully you’ll do the same with Rise, Dawn, War and Kingdom the planet of ye apes reboot from 2011. Take care 😘🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Sadly very inaccurate. In reality the King was out with his friends hunting whilst William was being hung drawn and quartered, and the Queen was just a small child at the time. A great movie though. Loved your reaction

A very good movie b ut historical completely inaccurate!!! For ex the historical William Wallace was not a farmer but a nobleman, the battle at Stirling in the movie is completely wrong; in real it was at a bridge and therefor it is also called the battle of Stirling Bridge, William Wallace was not betrayed by Robert the Bruce, the father of Robert the Bruce suffers of leprosy in the movie, also not true in real the father of Robert the Bruce was Robert Brus VI en he died a natural death, he was also a friend of the Engllish king Eduard I with who he went on crusade. The movie gives with the name Braveheart to much credit to William Wallace because in real the real Braveheart was Robert Bruce VII who became king of Scotland after defeating the English led by the English king Eduard II at Loundoun hill on May 10 1307. If you want to know the real story of Scotlands independancy, watch the movie Outlaw king, advice of me an historian
