Christopher Fung glad to hear the instruction helped! Hopefully we’re all returning to the courts very soon as things improve across the world. Stay safe Christopher!
Absolutely great guidelines (outside leg behind the inkoming ball , nearly parelel to the baselin(before turning the heel ) and spacing with the non dominent arm.I see quite a few players not pointing towards the ball enough so they don"t turn in the right way. The drill can take care of that problem. Very importent video. Thanks gyes.Olaf coach Copenhagen Denmark.
Hey guys, love your videos, but slightly puzzled by this one. What do you mean by keeping your outside leg behind the ball? Won’t you get all jammed up if you do that because the ball will be too close to you when you hit it? Do you mean keep your outside leg inside the ball?
Hey Nick, good question and happy to clarify, The outside leg is simply a reference point but it the instruction is really about getting positioned behind the ball. When setting up to hit your groundstrokes the racket enters the slot on the forward swing. This forces the racket to travel fairly close to the leg before creating distance from the body as the racket finds the contact point. Hence getting your outside leg behind the ball reference. Spacing on the forehand is critical so definitely don't want to create confusion there. Imagine your hitting the incoming tennis ball with a beachball and the leg positioning becomes a little clearer. Hope this helps my man!
Thanks Nate and Scott! Question -- what is that grip you are using? It looks like the western to me but then the forehand motion is the modern forehand motion, not the next-gen, which I used to believe is more conducive with the western grip?
Great question! Originally I learned to play with a grip that was between a eastern and semi-western. Unfortunately due to a arm injury I needed more support with the hand behind the racquet handle and switched to a more western grip. I learned to play utilizing a modern style forehand and although I've tinkered with the "next gen" style I ultimatley decided to stay with the modern forehand approach due to years of muscle memory. Hope this helped answer your question. Thanks for watching. -Nate
jessica reddish hi Jessica, Scott uses an Eastern grip while Ryan and I both use a Semi-western. My semi-western definitely rides the line of a western though. Thanks for watching and the question! -Nate

Sapient Budgie I wish the circumstances were different and that was the case but our indoor facility has been shut down as well here in VA. We’re all working from home currently. This particular video was filmed a month ago and just held back for April fools day. :)
What's up with the beards??? Neither one of you look like you'd have a beard. Like they look so out of place on your faces. So why would young guys like yourselves wear beards???? Other than that, good lesson.
This guy shifts his head too early, which is why his forehand will never be right - for all the coaching tips, he simply is not a good example! The camera side-view says it all - come on guys sort it out! Watch the ball has become a cliche .. because too many coaches don't even do it, let alone teach it with a fundamental understanding. Keep your head still and focused towards the racquet-ball contact for longer - don't shift too early in synch with the follow-through.
The first 20 seconds were pure comedy gold 😂 love you guys, stay safe!
Suraj Muralidharan yaaaa Scott got me with a very solid April Fools day prank. Well done sir...well done. 🍻 Thanks for watching. -Nate.

if you get right leg behind ball you will be too close to hit it?

I'm not an english teacher, but the word permimeter and perameter are often used incorrectly. Good advice on spacing.😄
haha..fair enough. Glad you enjoyed the video Ray!
Don’t we want the ball to be at like 2 o’clock when we hit it? That way it’s out front and we attack and space it to set up?

Great video! btw, are you guys doing proper spacing and social distancing :) ? (never mind.. I see this is April's fools video)
srnath123 glad you’re enjoyed the instruction. We’re definitely missing the courts. We’ll be bringing content from our Homes though so stay tuned :)
You may be the only 2 humans that have access to an indoor tennis court.

PlayYourCourt.com I want an indoor court on my home property! Stay safe. Look forward to seeing your videos recorded on some courts soon.
Hey Guys, i enjoyed all ur videos. Again, sorry Scott but i do liked Nate's forehand better...more shape on the balls....lol!😁😂👍
Mikey 4LUV Top comment once again! 😉 Thrilled to hear you’re enjoying the content!
The catch the ball drill is terrible. ATP forehands are beyond the hand. If you can catch the ball you're still too close.

Thanks? lol
The interrupting and mocking made me stop watching. Be professional.
This dude looks like a beginner!
Spoken like a true troll...thanks for the good laugh though. 👊

Agree dudes awful...If only you were available for lessons 😔
@@Playyourcourt .. if you claim to be a tennis coach - you're damned useless! Sort your own game and playing style out before teaching others.
