It's so wild that we can all edit from the same drive. My mind is still blown. I hope y'all enjoyed the video and let us know if you have any questions!
Thanks so much for this video! It's super helpful. I just started the LucidLink trial and am uploading my first Premiere Pro project files and footage. It is a 183 GB of data so it looks like it will take about 4 hours to upload. I'm uploading the full res files and proxies. Do you think I would be able to just upload the proxy files or would that break the link with the full res file?
its a good way to collaborate with other people working on a same project. But i would rather use G Drive for sending rush to team and delete after downloaded. Using the cheapest plan works fine for me. Everyone doesn't have the same internet bandwidth to edit online. And after work is done I collect the project and assets used without rush using same G Drive. Even though it can stream files i don't really use it often.
It really depends on your needs. You can "pin" media with Lucid so you don't need to stream, pinning is the solution for people with different internet bandwidth.
Thanks for the great video! Where do you point the Adobe scratch disks for preview files? If your editors are working in silos do they point them to a local SSD? If you all are handing off projects to each other on Lucid Link, do you point those same scratch disks somewhere on the Lucid Link server? In that same menu, where do you point your CC Libraries Downloads and MOGRT Media?
Motion graphics template media folder is automatically created next to our project file in the lucidlink server and scratch disks are also saved there, we tend to pin the whole project file on Lucid so it's always pinned locally while editing.
Is this the best way to work with a remote editor? I can't figure out which is better between using a Google Shared Drive, LucidLink, or the Creative Cloud files? I am just so confused...
So is "Pinning" the same thing as the "Make Available Offline" option in Google Drive where it will download the file in the background and put it in a cache folder locally on your computer? And also - I still don't quite understand how it's able to instantly play the file on the other computer. Is it playing a low-res proxy? Is it that instantaneous if the file were... let's say, 40GBs or 2 hours long as opposed to a quick little compressed clip for social media?
this sounds so great but so out of reach for independent documentary filmmakers where per project I'm wrangling 18-40TB for each project, which monthly would cost me ~$8,000 per month. Any suggestions for documentary users?
This isn't about the update lol. But yes, I agree, the masking should be the same in Ps, Ae, and Pr, why different? Alas, we don't know.... But hopefully soon!
@@PremiereGal Yes; I left two comments before saying I use both lucidlink, google drive and dropbox (probably got deleted?) and that they all have the same feature in which you can give access to as many people as you want and they can link the videos you send them through cloud

Welcome! :)
That's a really cool platform, I bet it makes collaboration so much easier
Very much!
Another epic video! I’ve been using Licid and its awesome! The PPro panel was a game changer when they added that recently.
Yes! The panel is great :) And pinning in general!
Thank you for everything you do! I am sixteen and run my own video production company and have learned so much from you!
That's impressive!

Great breakdown! We’ve been in talks with LL to make the switch and this was really exciting to see!
That's super cool, I'm glad you're in talks with them, really great product and fantastic people behind it. They really listen!
Happy to hear you have an editor in KC. Neat!
All this time I thought you were based near San Francisco and here you tell us you're in Europe! Great video as always!
I am from SF but now currently living abroad!
Great content. Any ideea on where I can find a cloud storage with a faster virtual CPU so I can render my video projects much faster?🤔

do you still run it as a team project in premiere or do you just run the local file?
do we need to install it in our computer before we can use it? because i need IT support for installation
You must be loosing sleep right now putting together the Generative AI video that is coming to Premiere. Letsss goo
I actually just made a short about it! 🎉 But ain't losing sleep on it 😅 it's just a sneak, long way to go before it is in app!

When you work on those tipes of jobs, you know you'll need an static studio. 😢
Great
Do you edit on both platforms or just on Mac?
My editors are on Windows and I'm on Mac, we switch between without issue. 🎉
Adobe need to fix the pen mask tool in premiere in this new update i mean like where are the handles bro 😦

0:29 is that an AI glitch or did you actually say "KANE-zis?" 😮
Lucid link is not available in Android and doesn't even show up in the Microsoft store.
It's not a mobile app. It's a appllication you install from their website...
