Thank you for your work, this was explained really clearly with nice graphics. The studies were made particularly clear as I initially didn't understand the first one from my lectures.

    Main take-away:
Stimulus that produces arousal (= physical)-> (primary & secondary) appraisal -> label the experienced emotion (= mind)
    Example:
One group of males walk across a scary bridge, and another on a safe one. In each condition, a woman approaches the males with a questionnaire. When called afterwards to report on the event, males in the scary bridge condition reported stronger emotions (i.e. attraction) towards the female than in the safe bridge condition. The arousal males experienced on the scary bridge was misattributed to the attraction level of the female instead of the threat (i.e. fear) of crossing a scary bridge.

As someone who is sexually attracted to bridges, I would have correctly ascribed the attachment to the bridge not the woman, had I participated in the experiment.

pretty sure emotions the clown theory he used is based on our opinions of clowns.
the movie IT and how clowns were dressing up a few years back will cause us to run opposed too someone dressing up as a butterfly and running to you.
its pretty obivious its based on past experiances

A group of students pass their exams and are overjoyed and celebrating, they storm out of their school to a rival school nearby and start fighting them, can that be used as an example in this theory?

Local news: a psychiatrist conducting a social experiment while wearing a clown costume was gunned down this evening after bursting out of a shrub and running towards random individuals to gauge their emotional reaction.
The shooting occurred a block away from the local movie theater which was conducting an “evil clown” triple feature of It, The Dark Knight and Killer Klowns from Space.

Personally I'd likely attack the clown if leaving didn't work. But if it was a spider I'd just drop dead and give up on everything....😢
