I'm not familiar with that one myself, but I like to think that Human Nature is essentially about 3/4ths co-operation, necessary to maintain a society and civilisation. Then one quarter individuals competing to improve their own lives, which can also deliberately improve society at small and international scales, or achieve this as an accidental and happy byproduct!
I have enjoyed listening and learning from your video. Even though, its in English I am able to use it here in Sweden for my own understanding as I am preparing for a test in Social Psychology tommorrow.
I found an interest in Psychology when I found this video. Thanks for your video and please suggest to me some books of psychology. Thanks again to you for all.
This a nice video but the information is questionable. Let me explain why. If you study social psychology in america this is the information you will find, but there is much more information and theories in this field of psychology that the american books and professors dont teach. Back in the 60 era a Jesuits catholic priest who was also a psychologist was assassinated for his controversial theory about this subject and political activism. His names was Martin ignacio baro and he is widely considered the father of social psychology. In his theory he suggests that human behavior can be explained through the study of IDEOLOGY which influences action or behavior . I. His studies he uncovered the power of ideology and how this is used to “control” different types of social groups. All of his work is mainly in Spanish. He also talks about community psychology which is another important field that is intertwined with social psychology. This man was indeed a heroe and he was killed for speaking truth and fighting oppression of government.
Thank you so much for the insightful comment. However, I believe that this video is for introducing students to this branch of Psychology. Just some simple frameworks and concepts I guess, as well as some behaviorist variables and their associations with social variables.

In the Stanford prison experiment, there was actually no physical violence permitted in the experiment, nor was any committed, in fact. The guards (one moreso than the rest) used creative forms of emotional abuse, humiliation and used their food/visitations/social aspects to put them into submission. Just a small thing that needed pointing out.
You should do a video on the 1% of parents who have serious mental illness that try to function in society and try’s to raise their kids right and usually succeed due to the support to of their loved ones and how stressful events can case them to break down and have issues in relating to what is happening to them and how more than just police need to learn about mental illness so the miss treatment of family’s of mental illness can get a fair trial
How can we overcome the problem of the stability of preferences or goals ( person x in experiment 1 wants p while in experiment 2 he (x) wants q,that's when i observe x doing something g and i come up with hypothesis h,how can i test h,because after all x might have done g for r and r is at the core of h,but when i test h x had already changed his mind),in social psychology, it seems that social psychology assumes stability of preferences, otherwise hypothesis testing would sound pointless,so, are preferences stable? Do they change according to some criteria? Are some of them stable and others not? The same can be said for motivating reasons, great video by the way.
I think most of these behaviors have logic behind then and they are not just subconscious. For example the bobo doll experiment the kids might thought that the adult knew better since he has experience etc so the way he acts must be the correct one

Never having had any education in psych I find this highly informative. The format works well at this level also. BUT, the narrative is a little too fast paced for my old brain. Social psychology is terrible. You've done zero videos about the topic of replicability because social psychology has a severe issue with it. There is also the issue of meta-analysis that has a publishing bias. The entire field of study is rubbish. Imagine all the "core theories" that relied on ego depletion. All the "classical theories" that were not even tested. This channel makes videos citing unreproducable or unreplicable "published" papers and treating them as fact. It's just as bad as listening to a self-help guru spouting misinformation.
Nah, you're talking about psychoanalysis. Social psychology ia a completely different topic that relies on empirical evidence and, as every other research-based science, it evolves constantly, rejecting or accepting the existent theories.
