I graduated in 1971 and was working at a Texaco gas station. My boss just bought a new 71 supper bee lime green with a 383 4 speed. He was nice enough to let me use it for senior day and my prom I really felt special. Good Memories 👍oh and he traded in a plum crazy purple 1970 super bee for this one
Back in the day, my buddies first car was a '71 Super Bee. 383 Magnum, 727 and open 8 3/4. Had buckets and column shift. It would, of course, burn that tire for what seemed like forever. Miss those times. He ran around for the longest time with on open header. Ha ha!
My brother bought a 71 Bee, V code automatic back in the mid 80's for $2700 from a guy in Stafford Springs CT. The hood was long gone (had a flat hood) and so was the six pack setup. But man, when I check that vin and saw the "V" we were super excited. He sold it for as huge profit a year later. He wishes he kept it now with the insane selling prices on Mopars......
Interesting to see it’s a GY3 car. Some of the information the owner was giving you contradicts the codes on the fender tag. C2XW TX9 is a two tone black and white bench seat interior. He was claiming it came with a green bucket seat interior.. There is no spoiler code on the tag, and the spoiler on the car is an incorrect 1970 Go Wing. I own a 1971 Super Bee 383 Magnum GY3 car. Mine still has its original and correct 71 Gull Wing rear spoiler on it. Also is a column shift auto with an all black bucket seat interior with its original N96 Ramcharger hood.
Actually the rear spoiler depends on the build date. My 71 had that same wing , early build. I also had the front spoiler. I have a 71 parts book and it shows both rear spoilers. My buddy also had a 71 runner with the same wing.( go wing)
It's actually C2X9 if you blow it up to full screen. Which is just black vinyl bench seat. The TX9 is the interior door frame color, 'Black Velvet'. It would be fairly unusual to have a two-tone interior on a car like that. It would have to be 'ordered'. For sure it was 're-interiored' probably in the '80's or '90's before a lot of parts were being made. I did some myself but if they were green I sprayed them black. I used the actual DuPont vinyl dye that had vinyl resins in it mixed at the paint shop. It held up really well. I had an 'EV2' '71 Charger R/T with a black vinyl top, stripes, A/C, 15" rallyes, spoilers. sure grip, Driver aid pkg. Pretty decked out. White bucket interior with console. Had lots more options. But....next to blue that white is the WORST interior color. That white plastic disintegrates just sitting in a garage out of the sun.
The body needs some work but being from PA it will have lots of rust to deal with being PA is right in the rust belt but that's cool it's a 340 car. I have never seen a 71 bee with a 340 all the one's I have seen were big block 383 or 440 cars
Oh yah! Seen it had Ohio tags in one of the pictures he was going through. It's really hard to judge anything about a car like that from this short video. I would say yes, check it over thoroughly. Seen MANY Pa cars, some good some not so good.
The paint under the hood area AKA firewall has the original Citron yellow color with a little green cast to it the outside now looks like butternut yellow
Truth ive watched a 65 Chevelle SS 396 convertible get swallowed up by the earth, weather, and time under a tarp which has long been rotted away.such a sad death
Yeah I’ve learned that life lesson the hard way too - tried to store a Jaguar XJ series 111 and the damn car cover made it dissolve! Much better to be out in the air where it can dry after a rain
I've seen where people would put the tarp on the ground and drive the car onto it so moisture can't come up from the ground. I've used those Technalon or Evolution type covers in the '80's and '90's and they seemed to let the moisture escape, but yes, covers are BAD. Had one car that had mint floors and after 2-3 years rusted through.
7 cash I'd say you gave it away I think more like 15k was a sale price as is. Some folks just don't have the love for the labor that car needs to be hot...
It's a little rough. I have a 1971 Charger R/T with a 4 speed. 1 of 328 something like that. 46k original miles. Those seats in his (in the picture) look like later SE seats. Those are SE door panels too. That's not '71 Bee upholstery. Green was a 'non' recommended color with that yellow, either yellow. According to the fender tag, if it's for that car, interior code is C2X9. 'Charger' grade interior, BLACK BENCH seat. Somebody swapped the interior from a green 3i8 car later. It would have been better with all the original parts on the engine, without the Chinese aluminum radiator. One of my biggest turn offs is when people put those cheap 'drift car' boy racer seats in these cars. Why? Cheaper to get the originals re-stitched, or buy foam and seat covers from Legendary.

not sure about that trade lol but I absolutely love both those cars. I wish so badly that I could’ve experienced that era of muscle car greatness .

I bought a plumb crazy 71 super bee for 700,early 80's air grabber hood.
Dang that was cheap. Wish I could find a deal like that

Looking at it again it does look like a 'W'. You're right!
Car is long gone, please don’t ask if it’s still for sale.
Damn!!!!!!!!
DAMN, sorry for the email then!
Nice car at a reasonable price. Would be a great car for some young fella or girl to get into the hobby.
GY3 was a 1 year only color..and I own one in a ‘71 GTX😊
Had one hideways 383 4 speed pistol grip.banana boat blue interior
Very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took a beutiful 1-piece dooky the other day that surely must have been a 1 of 1
Did he say $7k?? That's cheap for a Mopar. I'd research that vin and title for sure.
Yeah, it was $7k. This was about 2018. Car was worth about that at the time.

Very cool car😮
cool Mopar!
sold mine a few years ago
That'd be one unique car. Awesome
My Buddy has a Red 71 Bee
Flex hose....RUN!
Quite the 'project car(mega $'s)' for a Mopar fan. It being a Pennsylvania car, any interested buyer 'must' explore the all important "RUST" status!

Glad someone bought it before those tarps completely destroyed it. They are car killers

Did you buy it
7k, was a steal, I bet he could have gotten 10k easy.
This one doesn't have the air grabber hood.
7 cash I'd say you gave it away I think more like 15k was a sale price as is. Some folks just don't have the love for the labor that car needs to be hot...
Restoring a 69 bee now
Another project for graveyard carz.
Rear bumper has been replaced
Do you know what part of Pennsylvania it was from and about what year
What year did they get it? 2018
Don’t know what part of PA

Did he just say 7k cash 👀🥺 that's a freaking steal I would of sold that thing for 25k as is what a idiot !
Car definitely needs a lot of work. Worse than what the eyes meet. Definitely worth 7k
Hey !
