  • This was likely my last offshore venture this season and what a year it has been!
    Caught a break in the weather and this trip turned out great. I had a mix of cod, tautog, sea bass, scup as well as bergal. I even marked bluefin and saw one pushing some bait!
    I will most likely get a few more inshore tautog trips in before this season is over.

    The link takes us to the extra heavy St.Croix, is that the same rod?

      No. It is not the same rod. I am using two different rods in this video. The first is a Cabelas musky rod similar to this model on Cabelas site: GSSM76HT. The second rod I am using is a G Loomis MUR933C which has been discontinued for a while. It is a bit lighter than the one I have in the amazon link. Both rods are no longer for sale, as they are a bit old. The one in the link is a close comparison to the rods and a decent graphite cod rod.

      No, not on coxes this trip.
      They are destroying that area with the windmills. Very sad scene.
