Why Cancer is Lonely

In this video I share what I've learned and observed about how alienating and isolating it can be to have cancer--even the healthy people in your life sometimes disappear until they know you're back to normal. It can be lonely to have cancer, but there are ways to navigate the challenge of shifting relationships. Most importantly, we shouldn't take it personally--it's probably more about them.

This is so good to know. Thank you! I am already noticing this. The few I have spoken with I shared because I knew they had some experience . Probably not a good basis for choosing when looking for support. I had noticed people disappearing but that just happens for a bit sometimes ( and I have learned to use the time for solitude).
