I purchased one a few weeks ago, love it. So easy to set up with the app on my phone. I’m about to order another before prices increase due to demand. Well done speedybee on an amazing stack.
I built a couple drones when I was younger and had more time, shelved when when I had to go to uni and cracked them back out, but they still have naze32 boards which is a pain in the ass to use. Looking to upgrade and I think this is the board for me to use as I also look to upgrade to full dji kit the air 3, controller and goggles as I still use a £15 hobby king goggles set that only shows 240p and a fly sky clone controller. The bad old analogue days.
I'm learning a lot by watching your videos. Excellent job. Thnx for sharing 💜
I'm glad that they help!
You decided my next flight controller for me - thanks for the effort mate.
Glad the video helped!
Same!
pre ordered lets gooo
cant wait for my next build!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for this
I personally find solder pads on only 1 side very nice from waterproofing perspective.
Currently building my first quad with this stack, its even more bad ass than I thought!
right?! for an F405 its pretty impressive lol
Nice review thanks !
I've had nothing but good experiences with speedy bee branded products
I have bought a total of 3 of these FC+ESC stacks and 1 of the FC's by itself. I have no long term experience with it, but I can without a doubt say that it comes with Betaflight 4.3.2 installed, and if you upgrade to betaflight 4.4.2 and use a 32gb microsd card for blackbox logging you will have issues with your OSD.
Just put this in my first ever build, even for a beginner in the world of drones (i fly nitro helis and fixed wing) it was easy to work with, love it 💪
Bruh, I'm looking forward to put this FC in my pusher fixed. Is there any doc or guide available on this particular thing.
Is it possible to convert F405 v3 to fixed wing use.
Hey thanks for this. Do i need to use a extra Power Distribution Board with this?
This stack has a some problem. When its uses an SD logging the OSD cant work properly
I have built two quads with this FC+ESC stack because of your 2022 budget build. Loving all the features, I am trying to install a runcam thumb but not sure the best spot to solder the power lead. On one I have it on the 5V and G for the LED strips, the other its on the 5V and G for the buzzer. Is there something I have to configure in betaflight to get it to power the runcam? I assumed it would just have power...
Thanks for the good videos!!
Thanks for the walkthrough. I'm getting all the parts together to complete the 2022 budget build and I had a question. I'd like to build my drone so that it uses my FrSky Taranis X9 Lite Transmitter
and it has a FrSky 2.4GHz 16 Channel XJT Lite External Module. Not sure what video receiver I should use it and how to connect it to the flight controller? Any tips or suggestions?
Have u tried INAV on this FC? Since mine have trouble on ESC protocol (available only multishot) n motor didnt want to spin.
Please drop the build now !
I built my drone using the speedybee f405 v3 with the fs ia6b receiver and using the flysky fs i6 controller, there is one problem, everything connects but the drone does move at all but when I open something like betaflight it shows that it's working fine. So what could be the problem, this is my graduation project
Thank you
Just bought two with two caddex vista nebula pro
Have you had problems with the osd disappearing while recording to the blackbox??
Thanks for the very informative video.
Anyway i would need someone advice. May i know can i use this FC and ESC on my old F450 build (TBS), i have Emax 2212 II 810KV Motor?
Previously i am using Pixhawk with 30A Hobbyking ESC which abit whobby ....
How do I use the camera control pad??
how to use the S9 pad for PWM output on this FC?
Will it fly fixed wing if flashed with inav?
Does it have pins for gimbal?
Thanks for this quick review!
Very interesting! Two 4.5v pads! I always wanted that! And also in front and back :) not on side... So sexy :).
Could you give esc MOSFETs reference? Thanks in advance.
Which VIDEO TRANSMITTER and RECEIVER supports DJI REMOTE CONTROL AND DJI GOOGLES
Hi Nice revieuw. does this controller works with regulaar ppm reciever ? like 4 channel s? Thnks Frank
That fc support ibus?
Hello my friend! Thanks for your great video! One question: I have the F405 V3 and try to use blackbox with SDCard but no sucess. I tried to change the settings, use BF 4.4.X, 4.3.X, 4.2.X but nothing worked... I tried both SDHC 8GB and SDXC 64 GB... Format them to FAT32 with 4096, 8192, and all kb possible... I also did a partision with only 2GB on the cards but no sucess... Any ideia what may be happening, and how I can fix it and finally use the blackbox? Thank you so much in advance, BR.
Nice vidéo! What is the FC firmware? SPEEDYBEEF405V3 or STM32F405 ?
Great vid and thanks for all of the info. Do you think this stack could be used as a substitute on your 2.5 inch cinewhoop?
This stack unfortunately wont fit that frame since this is 30x30
were can i get this in the uk please ?
hi!
I am new to drones
so I wonder if these can also fly very very slowly and - keeping the height - also hover under my car in order to inspect my car bottom.
any ideas?
Hi! You can totally fly slow and steady with enough practice, but for inspecting your car i think you are better off with a GoPro on a selfie stick. Quads are cool but spaces that tight require too much precision and effort in contrast with more standard filming tecniques. Maybe consider starting FPV for freestyle or making some cool shots like the ones in TRONCAT's channel, hope this helped you ;)
Really thoughtful design this - can you comment on the FETs on the ESC and their Perceived reliability?
So far its flying great! HAven't had any issues with it 👍
Is it possible to install ardupilot on this ?????
Wow the price has become affordable again
Great video. I was wondering what sd card size you use for your goggles.
For my DJI goggles I have a 64gb. On my Orqas I have a 16 or 32
Is it just me or is this the best pad layout for a flight controller ?
agreed 100%. Having all the pads on the top and bottom of the board is awesome. Don't have to deal with wires hanging over the side of the FC!
Where can i get the screws that go threw the stack? Mine didnt come with any
I would contact speedybee, that should come with any stack
Can bluejay be flashed to this ESC do you know? I'd want to access RPM filtering if so. Thanks man.
From what I understand Bluejay shouldn't be flashed to this board, it can cause twitches and won't fly too well.
I have updated to bluejay and run filtering. I have not experienced any twitching, it flies great
@@grippfpv3465 good to know! Speedybee advised against flashing bluejay to it as they had issues. What is your setup with this stack exactly?
Hy is this works wit the new fatshark HQ AVATAR System?
yup!
Why would you add LED’s? It only eats volts… Nice stack doh!
Does anyone know if it is Elrs compatible?
Yes you can use an ELRS receiver with this flight controller 👍
Does the speedy Bee stack come with the LEDs?
it doesn't, they are a separate item but are only $5 for a pack of 4 LED strips
@@TRONCATFPV what are they called? I don't recall seeing a link to them in the video description
Heya, I just got this stack in the mail today and I am excited to finally build my first drone.
I had a question for you all. I have a 5" frame and since it is going to be my first build I don't think I need a crazy high kv motor. I would like for it to run for more than 2 minutes also.
Hence I am thinking of a lower kv motor and more of a cinematic drone build that I can take on hikes with me.
So to the drone community out there what size and kv motors do you use and or recommend.
Best Wishes = )
You can always build a 6s setup and run 4s for docile flight. And then when you have more experience you just need to buy a 6s and go from mild to wild
PSA: you must enable MSP on UART4 to use Bluetooth!!
I purchased the speedy bee F7 V3 stack. I received it with bent pins. I always inspect the ports before using a product. I contacted Speedybee and they offered me a 20% discount on replacing their defective product. Be careful working with them. If you end up with a defect, they blame you instead of offering any customer service to rectify their failure. I'll personally never use another Speedybee product and I'll not repair any quad containing their products. Be careful with they so called "warranty" claims. They don't actually warranty their products.
dose it have dvr?
It doesn't have on board DVR, thats usually the kind of thing you record on the goggles
@@TRONCATFPV sorry i meant osd
@@rorymaceyes
Rofl……sadly I’ll never buy a speedybee stack ever again, the last time I did I ended up with a piece of Junk that desynced every flight, back and forth with speedybee and instead of replacing their faulty esc they sent me a frame which I didn’t want or need and was less than half the dollar value spent on the stack.
What stack would you recommend? Something that you can set it and forget it and not have to worry about
@@AlphaSteelFang005 . Currently I don’t know..the landscape has changed with the unavailability of the old gyros, the new boards are unknown as far as performance. Some of my ama club members own this stack and say it’s great. I’ve not had any issues with diatone, iflight, Aikon stacks. But, those are all running the old reliable gyro, honestly I couldn’t tell you what’s proven good yet from boards made this year….
@@FelixGA9 all good
I've built 2 different quads with this stack. One freestyle and the other LR. Both are awesome and not just for performance. I'm a stickler for clean builds. This stack is awesome based on today's standards and availability.
