    The confidence required to celebrate the 147 after potting the pink, then taking the black left handed, is just unreal. If he had missed the black, that clip would live forever in infamy. Ronnie is something else.

      There’s another one where he called it on the 1st black and on the last black just before he took the shot he shook his opponents hand and then blasted it full power god knows how it went it, man is a magician

    I usually play billiards, then one day I went to a snookers place with friends to try. I was surprised that the table is much bigger and it’s hard for me to pocket even one ball. Looking at this man getting 147 15 times is amazing!

      Yeah and these American pool fans think their guys stand a chance at snooker. The best pool player of all time would get totally rinced at snooker by like a number 50 player. Snooker is hugely more difficult. But try telling an American pool player that... most Americans have never even played on a 12 foot table with smaller pockets. Even sloppy shots go in in pool but in snooker you have to be 100% accurate. That's why not one pool player has ever achieved anything in snooker.

      Yup, and he did it under pressure. A lot of these snooker pro can do 147 during practice or just chilling at home. But when its during a tournament its crazy how they can compose themselves

    I never knew this guy was so fast...I remember Davies getting a 147 in 1981...it took about 3 hours...this guys on speed dial.

    The thing that amazes me is not the fact that he has the most maximums because I believe he can have many more if he wants to and now every other player on the circuit is making 147s now and then but the way he plays making it look so easy and at such a fast pace is what differentiate him from others
    For me that is just pure class

      For me it’s the fact at his peak of love for the game he could just choose to get a max break, like if he was feeling it liked just get one, it was rarely a question for him, he is and will always be the best

    I'm a half decent pool player, and I remember the first time I ever tried snooker it took me 10+ attempts before I even made a ball! Ronnie makes the game look preposterously easy.

    Personally, I still think his best 147 was during the 2008 world championship - ruclips.net/video/V1s9oC5ebFs/видео.html. Watch at 7:19, his control of the white in that shot is one of the best positional plays in history.

    To think how long he has been playing snooker vs how many 147s he has just shows you that a 147 is levels above a 9 darter. If they were that easy he’d have about 50

      this was the final, yes. pressure was not that high, since he had a comfortable lead and only needed one frame to win. nevertheless it was a brilliant maximum break

      @@larslindegren5632 ofc they are all briliant. i was just pointing out, that the pressure in that specific moment might not have been as high as you might think. there is ofc at some point the individual pressure the player puts on himself, but here it wasnt the deciding frame or he was chasing a shortfall in frames.

      @@Ajs_1988 - I still don't know how he did it being almost straight on the black! In a more recent video he tried to recreate it and virtually couldn't! I'm saddened by the fact he's not as recognized by comparison to certain other sports people & that's criminal. 1000 centuries is a monumental achievement & tells you all you need too know about Ronnie!

    of course this is not the best 147 ever, that's the fastest 147 break ever he made at the 1997 wc, but this one is special for the left handed pot of the last red and of course winning the tournament.
