We didn't show a whole lot of prices in the auction and will show more in future videos, but to see what some of these gems sold for visit mcphersonauction.com/auction/2-day-classic-car-collection-absolute-auction-nearly-250-units-selling-live-onsite-auction-w-internet-bidding-sturgis-sd/
Even in 2023, vintage cars and trucks are still turning up. Thank you for showing us the vehicles.
there are MILLIONS of old cars and trucks all over the place....so many its rediculous...whatever you want there are probably tons of them in junkyards..i cant believe all these old cars havent been crushed yet and are still sitting around 40 years later
Great drop! Thank you for covering alot of ground for us and sharing these old treasures.👊
That is a 1968 Ford galaxie I had one just like that just
That is a 1958 thunderbird at the beginning.
The first t bird is a 1958
What an amazing collection of cars.
Good stuff there !

Seen several vehicles I am interested in
Thank you sir for the opportunity to see these old classics
Keep up the great work
May Gods Blessings be with you always
Great video! Love all these old cars
Lots of cool old iron there.
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That 1st Mustang was a '66, and not a '69.
Looks like the body, and floors are in super great condition.
Most early Mustang's, Falcon's, Fairlane's, Comet's, ect, usually rust out in the floors, due to the vent cowl rusting out over time.
My '68 Torino has a rusted out vent cowl that's going to have to get repaired in the future.
Wish I had the extra funds, I would definitely be interested in that '66 Mustang.
Thank you
great tour - thanks
Prices sure jumped up !
Yes they sure have.. on everything!
Holy Moly....what a find😂

Glad to see you got the Merc. If I had cash and was there, you would not have won that car! Both are great buys.
Thanks! I had a couple merc coupes 15-20 years ago and have been wanting another so I was hoping I could get it.. It's rock solid!
The only one I've never seen in person is the Monza wagon near the end.
Good video & Good variety of projects especially up here in new england ( Connecticut) some cars I remember seeing on the road when I was younger I love these type of videos thanks for the entertaining video & have a good day
Thanks.. I am from New Hampshire originally and moved out here to find good old vehicles..

Did you hear what the 68 coronet went for?
Great purchases!
I wonder for how much the 58 Chevy Brookwood Stationwagon and the more complete 59 El Camino went.
Greetings from Germany
I don't remember but you can go to the McPherson auction website outof rapid city, South Dakota and see the results I believe
@@DolloffAntiques
i wish i could, but they dont seem to like my IP, lol.
That Pontiac coupe rocks!
40 years ago these would have been salvageable but now the cost to put one back on the road is more than you could re-sell it for once working. Although cool looking at first a closer look will reveal rusted floors, trunks, frames, seats and dashes, if any plus all door and body panels, frozen engines, if any. All broken glass, and on and on and on and more and more, ect. You can't run out and buy these things. Everything has to be hand made now.
At current values they would still be worth fixing. Stuff out there don’t rust like here on the east coast.
すごいなぁー👍👍👍😊😉✨🎶お宝、いっぱいですね~👍👍👍😊😉✨🎶🤔😍💯
.????????
Bus went cheap...i would have bought it
I DON'T THINK WERE IN KANSAS ANYMORE.🐕🦺
Thanks for the video. AS SLOW AS THE AUCTION IS YOU MIGHT BE THERE FOR A COUPLE YEARS. PRICES ARE WAY TO HIGH. MAYBE GUYS WITH TO MUCH MONEY OR DREAMS. I STILL APPRECIATE THE VIDEO
No Lincolns in these car programs. Why?
I’m looking for a 1971 Chevy C60 Air brake two axle front grill core support and headlights and buckets, thanks BigAl California
Nothing at the moment. Sorry
Those 2 chavelle are nice wonder how much they went for
McPherson auctions out of rapid city.. I think you can check the web site they have for the prices
galaxie is a 67
Did that 58 wagon sell in the auction and what was he going to do with the ones that didn't sell?
The stuff in the auction sold but that was only 250 of the thousands of cars he has so you may want to check with him.
When auction
Are posted auction facebook & you tube too
I'm also looking for a GM rolling chassis from 1970,71 or , 72 Buick GS, Chevy Chevelle, Pontiac LeMans or Oldsmobile Cutlass 2 doors.
Nothing at the moment sorry
You could try Jim's auto salvage in Sturgis,SD
You are located in Murdo aren't you? I bought a 51 Chevy pickup from you a while back you had advertised on Craigslist. I have gotten a lot of comments on the truck at every car show we go to. I never painted it.
Yes I am.. That's awesome! Got a picture of the truck? Where are you from?
Hudson WI.@@DolloffAntiques
NOT A 61 FORD THUNDERBIRD! ,IT'S A 58 ,59 or 60 T-bird Altogether different body style!
You are correct. That's what I get for reading what they wrote on the windshield and trying to see what I am filming rather than actually looking at the car.. 😆
I'm looking for a 58 Chev car front clip if there's one there or enough random part to put one together please let me know
I don't have one but you could try this place. Jim's auto salvage in Sturgis,SD
None there?
Not sure. They have thousands of cars.. I only went to the auction and filmed this video there.. That was a very small portion on the yard so I would try calling them if I were you.
Really enjoy your videos here from 🇬🇧, it’s amazing how many places still have these beauty’s.
Do you have any 37-47 dodge 1/2 trucks forsale?
One 41-47 era
I thought the interest in TA's had diminished in the last couple of years. Was the car a runner?
No hadn't run in years.. project car but solid western metal not a rusty east coast car.
1958 Ford Flareside Box ! Not Stepside, that is GM !
Technically correct, however I don't think I have ever heard anyone use that term in my 25 years of selling truck parts.. Nice catch though..
I am a Ford truck fanatic and expert
Where is salvage yard located in South Dakota????
Sturgis
That 50 mercury with a bored flathead V8 and a 4spd,or a built fe 390 and like a 5spd for a overdrive gear would be a neat rat rod build..
True that Richard.
Another sweet engine would be a 5.0 Coyote, but they require a lot of setup, and extra time & money to get 'em to run properly.
But, it would be nice to have around 400 horses, and get 25 mpg though.
Where is this yard at
Sturgis,SD
Anyone know where to find what these sold for?
You can go on the McPherson auction page from rapid city to see results
I didn't see any dollar amounts.@@DolloffAntiques
🙌💪💥AUSTRALIA!🤍💙❤👊
how much that thunderbird at 1.45 minute video?
This was a auction and those all sold there a few months ago
ok thanks@@DolloffAntiques
thunderbirds are 1960
when is the auction...if someone wants to buy a car there how are they supposed to know when it is?....i see a lot of these auction walk around videos but nobody ever tells when and where the auctions are
This auction has passed.. I filmed as it was going.. The big truck auction in Nebraska we did a video in coming up in a couple days.. If you are interested go check out or video on that and there is a link in the description for the auction
Just like the new and used car market, antique cars have been crazy stupid overpriced since the pandemic. Sounds like the owners of this yard want to try to cash in by auctioning the cars before the market nosedives. Again, just like new and used cars, antique car values (especially parts and project cars) cannot sustain these kinds of overvalues, especially with higher interest rates and the high costs of restoration work, supplies, and services.
62 scylark is a two door sedan not a hard top
"It's pretty windy."
You're in western South Dakota.
Yes its always breezy but that day it was above the norm.
Big.prices.for.the.good.ones.australia😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Funny I would think these prices would be cheap in Australia..
What happened to your audio?
What do you mean?
@@DolloffAntiques - I had no audio for the whole video right up until you bought the two cars at the end with the coupe on the trailer, then there was sound.
Nobody else has had this issue and I just watched it again and it sounds fine.. maybe you had poor internet service?
@@DolloffAntiques - That could very well be. I also have problems where people talk and their audio doesn't match the video, so I wouldn't be a bit surprise if it wasn't my internet provider's fault. Thanks for the comeback.
Teu munero
That is a shill if I have ever seen it not a thing Before saw was worth the money paid ill bet the crushed is in there for two weeks yours look good
Property taxes and inflation plus lack of replacement parts and unskilled next generation youths uninterested in cars have forced 100's of salvage yards all over the US to liquidate as the land is more valuable than the inventory that stopped moving. The current business model of wait for ppl to come and buy what they need nolonger works as no one really needs these part for daily drivers. Time to auction it all for whatever the market will bare and sell or farm the land.
No more trucks
Sorry but rust is not gold, these are parts cars, you would spend a fortune to fix one your better off finding one somwere eles
The Trans Am sold for 10k and several sold for 4-6k..
@@DolloffAntiques people got more money than they do since
i cant believe all these old cars havent been crushed yet 40 years later....imagine all the resources that could have been saved and all the environmental damage from mining new natural resources ,that could have been prevented if these vehicles were recycled...its always better to recycle and old car than buy a new one
If they had been recycled back then their value would have been low. Now their parts are sometimes very valuable to those trying to restore a car. Also some of those wouldn’t have been worth restoring then but now due to rarity they are worth it. If every car was recycled just as soon as it was taken off the road you could probably cut the number of old cars still left for us to enjoy in half or less. There are plenty of valid arguments that say keeping an old car on the road reduces the need for mining raw materials to make new cars and that could reduce the carbon footprint. In reality it’s a trade off and I am glad a few people had the foresight to save these old relics for a new generation of car buffs!
😢 Everything at this auction belongs in the junkyard there isn't a single decent vehicle there
Trans am sold for 10k. Several vehicles in the 4-5k range.. all sold
😮😮😮😮😮
I can't agree, Mike.
Lots of nice, restorable rides in that auction.
But, there was also a lot of "parts cars" in there too.
