The two children are treasures, Silas. You're a good Dad to involve them in your hobbies and work. Kids feel appreciated when you share your time and show them how important they are to you.
Auction was fun to watch.
Excellent score at the auction. The Dodge Brothers is worth rebuilding.
My daughter (she’s 8) loves to go to auctions with me. She usually finds some toy or something that catches her eye for us to bid on. It makes for quality time together.
Some great buys you got. I really want to thank you for taking us along. I can’t get around to experience it myself and it brings back fond memories of years past. I hope you make a great profit. Peace
Neat buys Silas! I loved watching your kids hugging each other, it’s so nice to see. Yes, it looked like a very hot day. Enjoy your videos. I’m a machinery nut, love everything to do with machinery stuff! I saw the old car door handles, Lordy I was looking for some years ago. Put them on anything old!!!!
We had a roof rack just like that on our 1970's station wagon...
Great to see you’re taking your kids along with you to the auction, thanks for sharing, love your show
Americans are obsessed by family and stating the importance of family. Here in Ireland, it's a given that doesn't need to be restated. Not criticizing you (really, I don't mean to), I just wonder what the basis of it is?. High divorce rates splitting families both physically and geographically perhaps?
@@norwegianzound 😆🤣🙄😳
Great video. There is a neat thing to do with old tires but helps to have a lot of them. They make strong driveways or roads. You have to dig and level out the ground. Line them up in single height rows and columns. Completely pack insides with dirt and then cover with dirt and gravel. No more worries about washed out driveways. Some people have also used this method for cabin and/or off grid foundations.😊
Your Dad and Friend's is what made your Day and your Kids had Fun Thanks !!!; )
Those kids got to see things they'll probably never see again. Great times.
Greetings to all the people who attended this auction and to the auctioneers and helpers. You are a great Americans!! 🇺🇲♥️🇺🇲♥️🇺🇲
Your dad being able to spend the whole day with you and his grand children is more valuable than any of the stuff yall bought IMO

Cute kids, enjoy them as much as you can.
First thing you know you will have grand kids that age.
Brings back memories!
My late grandpa, my dad, and myself, all used to go to auctions like that.
Usually when my dad went to them, he was going hoping to get a certain item that was on the sale bill.
But my grandpa, and me, we went for the "entertainment value"... and to see if we could luck into some "great deals".
Especially on small items.
Both of us had the bad habit of buying a box of "junk" for $1 to $5 a box, sometimes not even knowing for certain if there was anything we could use.😂
Man, neither of the women I married, enjoyed going to the auctions. And they always wanted to know, "Why did you buy that junk?"😂
Unfortunately, due to my health, I haven't been to an auction in probably five years.🙁
@Fuch RUclips are you trying to be amusing?
@Fuch RUclips before I go any farther with an answer to your question....I need to ask you 2 questions of my own...#1) How old are you? And #2) Are you American?
These are serious questions, and I would appreciate honest answers. Thank you.
@Fuch RUclips well, even though you have not answered my questions about how old you are; and whether you are from America...I am going to go ahead and answer YOUR questions.🤦♂️
And, based on your previous comments to me, I will assume that you are either an actual child; or the American English language is not the language that you normally speak; or you are simply trying to be a jerk.
When I said "my late grandfather", I didn't mean that he was tardy, or behind schedule.
In the way that I was using the word "late"...it is a way or form of saying that he has passed away.
In other words, it means that he is dead.
THAT is why I don't find your comments amusing.
Thanks for taking us to the auction - I went to lots of auctions when I was a kid - my parents were into antiques and they'd buy things that needed refinishing and they used them to furnish our house. Love auctions! You are great, Silas. I just wish Mr Goodpliers had your voice. I try to watch his videos, but that voice.... oh well..
Glad it's not just me that finds his voice a little trying lol.🤭
I love auctions at my first ever auction i bought a car i was 9
It was a uk sale i remember it cost £65 lol i was hooked i used to go to the police auctions for bikes and motorcycles in my teens there was a lot of money to be made id buy a trailer load of stuff for bout £300 back then there great fun and have intresting stuff id love to go to a auction in america it looks awesome silas 🤘
Great auction. Taking the kids along is the best. Teach them young.
Hi
i'm Early BUT liked the video already cause you never put a bad one out
the 6 volt horn CAN be used on a 12 volt system if you simply wire a chrysler porcelain Ballast Resistor in the power line.. cuts it down to 7 volt
Silas, what cute kids ! Glad you are trying to get the old stuff back into circulation..😊
Good eye on your bidding and buying. Thanks for sharing the kids with us they seem happy junk buying with dad , and very happy with cinnamon rolls and other treats. thanks for the videos and taking us along.
That gin pole truck was designed to flip the pole back over the cab by the load of it, so you can still use the flatbed and then load and unload with the pole when needed
We tried that, but it stops pointing almost straight in the air 😆
Thanks Silas. That was a lot of fun.
Liked seeing the auction you covered it really good looking forward to seeing more of them
Silas, another great video. I like these auction vids as much as your other vids. You are a great narrator as well . My sister and her kids and hubby lived in Hutch for a few years, I was there once. She's gone now so I can't talk with her anymore if she remembers this place or not. Great to see 3 generations in one spot. Keep up the videos, we love them.
Ahhhh man… thus brought back so many great memories of attending farm estate auctions with my son. Always hauling some treasure home to make a profit. The real life long profit was the memories of doing this with my son.
Thanks for taking us along today
Cherish the time with your beautiful kids. Time goes so fast. God bless you and your family Silas.
Thanks for posting family time be safe
Congrats on ALL the Cool Stuff You bought at that Auction - Great Trucks as well - we noticed a lot of Art Deco Car Ornaments - they should sell pretty good ! Overall we enjoyed the Day with You and Your Kids had some Great Food and looked happy ! Great Video and many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
Great video today thanks for what you do nice to see you getting a good pay day out of the stuff you got
It was great hearing about your insight in how you have/will make a profit from most of what you bought, and your old stories about the property were interesting to. Thank you for taking the trouble to put this video together.
Awesome buys and video silas.thanks for sharing
That roof rack "might" even be a trunk mounted rack of a british sports car.
Or maybe a mid 1960's VW bug ...
That Skittles Jeep would have made a good crushing video!!! You made some really good buys, especially on the Diamond T and the trucks that you got. Love the old Dodge, i'm after a 283 to rebuild, that one was a bargain, but also a boat anchor!
Hi Don I’m Maria from Minnesota. How are you doing. Looking for a new friend okay
Auctions was a part of dads past, therefore it was a part of mine💯😁 Thanks for sharing, the auctioneers take me back. Last thing I bid on was a dump truck six years ago 💔 Should have bought it. Lol
Entertaining! Thanks Silas!
😃👍👍👍
Great looking family, dude. You're very fortunate.
I collect old license plates thanks again for posting
some good neat pickup . mate .happy to see a good day for you dad and the children
Some great buys there. Love the roof rack, very cool 👍
Another awesome video Silus ♥️
Looked like a fun working family day and a few bucks in the pocket too 👍
Peace

Good day. I had a 27 dodge like yours. I chopped the top 10 inches. Everybody who saw it loved it. Keep up the great work!
Cool stuff, those thunderbird hubcaps, my dad had a 1983 Grand Marquis wagon back in the 80s and had those hubcaps.
You got a lot of cool stuff there. Wish I wouldn’t of missed that auction but I did my loss for sure. But I’m glad to see you get some good stuff. Thanks for taking the time to share with all of us. I love watching your videos keep them coming.
Wow you killed it at the auction lots and lots of cool stuff
It was a kick going to the auction with you thru your video ! Thanks for letting us tag along.
Oh wow, some great Iron there!!!! 👍👍
You do a great job filming these auction videos I really enjoy these
I’m glad you know what you’re doing. I’d be lost.
Awesome Content. thank you for sharing. have a nice day!❤👍
Thanks for taking us along, Auction fever is easy to get, all those license plates and emblems
I only get the fever when the stuff is cheap 😆 The stuff on the wagons at the beginning went high, so I guess all the high bidders must have left
Im new to watching this channel but what i have learned about silas when he says he is not interested that usually means he is going to buy it 😅
Love these auction videos
Nice haul! Good for you.
i love watching these videos. The GB logo is a beer brand. I'm an old beer can collector so I know. LOL.
AWESOME!
The GB knob is a Griesedieck tap knob. Cool buys
That auction chant is hilarious. Nice content.
Picked up some cool stuff there Silas. Great vids to watch as well as farm clean ups. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
Hi Robert
I didn't realize that was a C40 truck that's cool! I had no idea about the history of Elmer. You learned me something!
Great stuff that you bought. The Dodge Brothers is really cool. That's a perfect car for yard art. Could be restored. Early DB cars aren't very common. Hope it does get restored.
Not sure what the roof rack was off of, but today I'd sell it to someone building out a van to live/travel in. It could double as a little deck space if floored, or double as a stealthy place to put a solar panel. And possibly all of the above if an expensive walk-on strength solar panel is used. The channels or extrusions on the bottom of it are ideal for mounting a solar panel to. Plus it's retro/cool, bordering on badass.
Neat. The old Dodge has solid steel wheels. Bases on the age of it that was a desirable accessory. Most would have had wooden wheels.
Hi Gary I’m Maria from Minnesota. How are you doing. Looking for a new friend okay
good thing they called the scrap dealer, they through all the hubcaps into a shredder where they belong
I love listening to auctioneers
My grandmother worked for REO. :)
Another great video!
Nice that they allowed you to film there. Kinda makes one to start thinking about attending those auctions. You never know what you will get. Buy and resell items or keep some treasures from your childhood.
That handle mechanism looks like a vintage RV trailer door latch. Really good value there.
A really enjoyable video and very interesting Silas 👍
Ya - That was all good fun - Your buddy's 'Joe and Mr. Goodplyers' were there to chat with - So all in all you had a good day with family and friends
Great history lesson 2.
Like it very cool thanks for your time and fun 👍👍👍👍👍😏
Thank you for this video. A friend just sent it to me. My deceased husband is in the video several times. It was surprising to get to see him.
Sills your 6 volt horn will work great on 12 v will be much louder
Funny on the doors, you got both for what each of the ones you didn't think were as good went. One never knows what someone else may need.
Great video on the auction. I'm so glad you didn't chop up that Chevy Steak Body. I live in Pa. Glad you sold it. Diamond T parts are great. Good to see Mr . Good pliers there.
Very cool.
That REO interested me the most because my grandfather worked for the REO from the 1928 to 1938. I lived most of my life in around the city.
Great buys Silas that truck was a killer deal can't touch those here for that not even close You have great auctions out there nothing like that around here anymore. I really want that KW truck emblem
Good dad, practical buyer.
love the auction video! brings back memories of when I used to go to them here north of Boston. nowadays auctions are pretty rare around here but they were great places to socialize and make connections with like minded folks. Silas, you would have liked an auction that took place at a factory down the street from me here in Beverly, MA. United Shoe Machinery Corp. was the world's largest maker of shoe-making machinery and in 1988 they auctioned off the contents of their 1.2 million sq foot facility, just enormous and packed with machines and parts from as far back as 1900! their factory was the world's largest reinforced concrete structure until the Hoover Dam was built.
Hi I’m Maria from Minnesota. How are you doing. Looking for a new friend okay
I love that vintage Dodge Bros car. It would be wonderful to have a complete nuts and bolts restoration
It’s going to have a crazy future actually. More details will be out on that later in the year
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch That's good to hear Silas, I got a lump in my throat when you mentioned crushing party or whatever. If it were up to my decision I'd splatter a gallon of cheap oil base paint on it, toss a couple hoods over the top, list it and until it sells use it for yard art. That's a classic, too bad I'm poor. By the way I'm a Ford man and a 327 Chevy man not Dodge, but wow, these oldies are awesome.
Years ago I had an identical motorcycle trophy topper. I mounted it as a hood ornament on my 1973 Ford pickup.
Great score.
Great vlog 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Another great video
Hope my dad enjoyed this as much as I did! Up in heaven he probably yearned for the old swap meets he cut out teeth on teaching me and my bro about old shit and what it was used for and today's value. God bless and your channel is a good value.
Salis that was great always different the kids are getting big enjoyed it so much wish I had that dodge
That bus would be really neat to have redo that old bus would be awesome
Good stuff in them mustang parts
The rack looks like a sports car trunk rack - likely aftermarket. Good video - keep up the good work.
Dennis Collins is a collector and does high end restorations on Jeeps and Mustangs. He loves the Mustangs, and he would be a good person to contact on any of the Mustang parts you have. That was a good auction. The stuff you bought and filmed went cheaper than any auction I've been to. Where I am people get wound up and over bid everything. Dennis does have a RUclips channel under his name.
when we going to meet your dad and receive junk wisdom?
Auctions are cool.
The little pig is one of the three little pigs from the three little pigs story with the big bad wolf! Very cool.
Congratulations
We haven't gone to a good auction in so long. I loved watching this one. I don't know why people do drugs when they can go to an auction. Really gets the adrenaline going when they finally get to the item you wanted to bid on.
Спасибо Сайлас.Отличное видео.
Interesting. All those old farms and barns are loaded with treasure.
Looks like a nice little haul you ended up with.
Always liked listening to a good auctioneer’s chant. One of these guys was pretty good. But nobody will ever come close to “Speed” Riggs, the tobacco auctioneer
Shifter might be for a Mustang
