Oh my GOD. At 6:46 , that is a 48-50 Packard Station Sedan. Packard didn't call them station wagons. They were Station Sedans. Wow. That needs to be bought and restored. Very rare. WOW
I see others are saying it but at the 7 minute mark, that's not home made, that's a factory Woody Wagon from Packard. The styling was known as the "pregnant elephant" period. Right after WWII. That would be a very valuable car.
Cool video, THANK YOU for the walk around! 6:55ish, is A Packard Wagon, a rare bird!! Was really digging the Lincoln Zephyr, as well as the yellow IH Travelall! Thanks Ryan!
Sweet vintage iron! Such cars like these deserve to br restored! One day, i would imagine seeing all these cars into beautifully restored virtual replicas!
That late 40s Packard woody is a factory made car. Next to that is one of my favorite (1940 Pontiac). Seen a video on this yard before and it is very impressive. I grew up in NE South Dakota and in the early 70s a lot of cars around me went to the crusher.
I had this exact car, mine was a 52 Chevy BelAir hardtop, same color combination and Powerglide transmission. The color was called beach white and bittersweet. I was 18 years old, and i paid 2.350 dollars for it brand new.
If you want a good pick up truck, or some vintage iron, this is the place. I would’ve thought with the cold wet winters, rust would be a real issue, but I guess not.
Great video Ryan The reason they are in good shape they never used Road salt till the 90s so anything while I was driving around never got road salt on them. I bought a Cadillac from a guy in Rapid City and that’s what he told me.
Cool vid Ryan. As a old car enthusiast you need to expand your knowledge Bro. So many cool cars in front of you that Im sure you would love to know more about. Very cool rust free cars though. Nice selection of awesomeness.
im trying, the problem is i dont like all these cars lol, i like what i like, and i avoid the rest. but I am sure trying to expand my wealth of knowledge
Look at this International internationaling at the beginning ! Imagine being an orphan brand and getting to open the video ! 6:46 is a '48-'50 Packard I believe 13:20 - look at the Zephyr zipping by ! 16:26 - a '54 Chrysler, seems to have tinted glass so maybe A/c too
(7:00) I believe that this car is a 1950 Packard Woodie wagon. Packard sold it as a wagon, but to me it looks like a sedan. It would help if you had shown tbe front clip.
9:35 ----------1937 Ford they make nice hot rods-tons of hot rod material ----------------------------------------47-53 chevy -GMC pick ups-caught a shot of a late 70's -early 80's Camaro -red or orange-?
There are several different versions of take apart wheels. The true widow maker wheel breaks apart in the center, and as far as I know, only comes in twenty inch rim size. They are the most dangerous of all of the take apart wheels. If they are not joined together properly, it's a lot harder to see them coming apart, and if you are in the way, they can kill you. That's how they got the name widow maker. The wheels you showed all come apart at the outer rim, and there are a few variations of those. They can hurt you, also. The least dangerous of all of the take apart wheels actually consists of 3 pieces: the main wheel, the outer rim, and a snap ring ring to hold it all together. If you work on any of these wheels, ALWAYS use a safety cage or a logging chain wrapped around the wheel in case you didn't get it back together right. It just might save your life. Also, never lean over the wheel while airing them up. There are a lot of really cool vehicles there. Thanks for sharing this with us.
ABOUT 7 MINUTES IN THE VIDEO, FROM THE SIDE IT LOOKS LIKE NASH RAMBLER WOODY 1950 + OR - NEXT TIME PLEASE ALSO SHOW THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE FOR MORE ACCURATE VIEW, THANK YOU.
that wagon was a packard you didnt show the front grill but then you quickly swept back and you could see part of the grill and yes the wood was real ....not a custom hack
Not sure what that is , is 53 Merc. 57 not 59. When not sure of the make, be sure to show the front also. I think that woody wagon maybe a Lincoln, or Merc, possibly hudson. 52 chev, not 53/54. 37 Ford. God almighty is a 40 Ford pu !
Its a 52 Merc at 2:12. Can tell by the round trunk emblem. Appears to have a good set of hood hinges on it. Hard to find one of these that still has good hinges and they are worth a lot.

Kind of wild that the newest cars are half a century old.
Great representation of prewar cars and 50s trucks!

Great video Ryan The reason they are in good shape they never used Road salt till the 90s so anything while I was driving around never got road salt on them. I bought a Cadillac from a guy in Rapid City and that’s what he told me.

The ones you keep saying look like been upside down were probably in tree line and tree probably fell on them

Hey Ryan you get around! No '59's, to bad. Do you think the yard was already picked over?
it has been somewhat picked over, but plenty of clean iron still to be had here
