Melbourne has a larger CBD with more historic buildings and wider roads...Sydney is very over rated...take away the harbour bridge and the opera house it's like port kembla!

Sydney is denser with a beautiful harbour not a drain running through the middle, definitely Sydney

Tall buildings don’t make a city great. Beautiful buildings and structure like the opera house and harbour bridge do. Add a gorgeous harbour and you have a world renowned global city. Melb wants to be a global city like Sydney but it’s not there yet, despite all the sporting and cultural events it hordes from other cities…that says a lot about Sydney’s status as Australia’s only global city. But it’s catching up and Sydney needs to stop relying on the house and bridge and harbour and need to find something new to keep its status.

I am a Melbournian and I have no problem telling people coming to Australia who want to know where to visit and what they will see and be able to do when about ANYWHERE in Australia without say this place is better than that. Maybe it started with Sydney resenting the fact that Melbourne was once the richest city in the World, who knows. It as a long time ago and should be left in the past. Both cities have their good points and bad. Sydney is a city I have enjoyed visiting for business and leisure, and Melbourne, well we really don’t care what Sydney thinks of us and hopefully they think the same way.

Out of all of Australia's capital cities, i think Brisbane is the best. Not too big and dirty, and not too small so as to be inconsequential and uninteresting. I think its size is just right.

Who knows who cares about Melbourne it's nice enough I suppose.... Sydney is a big time city, Sydney takes on the global heavyweights. Sydney can take on any city in the world when it comes to lifestyle and spectacular drone footage and is second to none.

The Ariel views of Melb are stunning. In the night, she is really beautiful. This is how I like to see Melbourne in all of her glory. Not just an image of Flinders St station or Federation Square. Melbourne is not just defined by these 2 things. She encompasses much more. These images show exactly that.

Wow I remember when I was a small lad living in Western Vic, when dad drove through Melbourne and I saw the BHP tower dominate the CBD skyline in 74 !

Hey big Jay, should do fly over at South Yarra too and do a 360, that would be epic. Great content as always.

I lived in melb for 34 years and used to be very proud and loved it, however the weather used to get me down so I decided to try living in a warmer climate and now much prefer living where i do, and I visit Melb yearly and its no longer the city I used to love, yes great skyline, but there are much nicer places to live in Australia, particularly if you like warmer climates.

Sydney looks dense because of all the one way streets. Darling harbour area is nice but Sydney cbd isn’t the best.

I just moved back to Melbourne from the Northern beaches of Sydney... In terms of natural beauty no doubt Sydney beats out Melbourne... In terms of the skyline, new architecture, urban culture and the vibe/ energy I think Melbourne wins.
