I have this. After a while, I thought it looked a bit “ spiky” round the bezel. I put on an aftermarket steel shroud, and Wow, it just looks sensational. Accuracy is perfect. My second hand misses by about a tenth of a second. My shroud was £60 from Etsy.

I've had the SNE543 for a few months now... it's really a watch I keep wearing, firstly because it's so comfortable and the overall look is really incredible for my taste.
Not to disagree with you Rob, but it's easier to read at night than you make it out to be. It's a perfect crosshair and at night it pops pretty well.
I also really appreciate the long 10 month reserve. The resin shroud makes this a Seiko-Shock :D

I have the black pvd version of the solar diver and I love it. The strap is soooooo soft and comfortable. I took the shroud off and it's now a 40mm watch. With the shroud it's still doesnt wear big to me. I paid under 400 for mine. I love it.

Doesn't seem to be USA Exclusive. Bought mine in Sweden. Really nice Seiko especially considering the price.

He says that for most watches. It's a JDM for a start, I reckon you would have been able to get it in Japan.

If you keep your eye on StarBuy out of Australia, I got one of these for $225 shipped to the US on a sale. Exchange rates obviously help.

It was originally an online exclusive in the US market. It was available more broadly in other markets simultaneously.

Threw an aftermarket steel shroud on mine and I can honestly say it’s my favorite watch I own. Can’t wait to get a good bracelet for it.

I like how Crafter Blue sent me a metal keeper on the rubber strap (which doesn't bother me at all) but also included a rubber keeper which I will probably never use.

I bought one of those at a discount from a Seiko AD on eBay. Interestingly, on the Seiko website, they depict the lume as looking white so when it arrived, I was pretty disappointed with the tan lume. Wound up sending it back. Bought the PADI Solar Tuna SNE499 instead. Really love that watch.

I think numbers on the bezel actually make it a lot easier to use. Once it's not at the 12 o'clock position it is not as easy to read without numbers.

I got the same one and only cost me about $230 and is an amazing piece. The bezel action on yours does sound better than mine though.

Loving all the tunas shown on the channel. On video the lume looks blue just like Citizens lume and BGW9.

They make the 545 (white/black/red) and 547(green/black/orange) also with black sunburst dials, which look really good... wish they made one with a blue sunburst, it would be perfect :)

Funny, I love day/date in Seikos. My first analogue Seiko was a SQ Sport with day/date, and I set it to Roman numerals for the day. It's also great on the Tuna Can and Darth Tuna.

I really don't understand Seiko's marketing and many are made in China and other Asian countries. I don't know how they decide which goes where in the world when you can buy J models, meaning made in Japan. There are Japanese sellers on eBay as well as other Asian like a lot come from Singapore sellers too.

For me, the Tuna. There's a lot of things the Tuna does better than the Monster. However, that's a broad summary as there are many different models and generations for each.
