- We all know Slinger Burst is broken. But how broken is it really? Let's find out.

Slinger burst dragon pods is unironically the most consistent and efficient way to actually proc elder seal against elders.
very good point!
problem: elderseal is not really useful. the monsters do not have threatening enough effects to seal : |. The game is just... much easier than the previous title so you can just make a generic build no X and you are fine. flavour is player choice there is no need to actually pick up sets tailored for a specific mon.
@@zwidowca1 that is correct. elderseal is very underwhelming. generally not worth it at all imo.
@@zwidowca1yeah, only safi is worth it for running elder seal in the 3rd phase to make the fight ends quicker..
@@manikaditha6308 i mean... safi is just a monke damage race if you want to farm it for quantity of rewards. Any quality run rewards make elderseal pointless as the fight drags on until you break everything. Sure you can destory most of her parst, if not all, in 1 run, but try and do it in a random lobby. It is such a pain in the arse.
Throw about three thorn pods onto a monster then use wyrmstake most satisfying sound and damage i ever heard

As an SnS main, using slinger burst repeatedly while dodging is a great way to flich them multiple times. You don't always have to go into the perfect rush.
This one had good editing and the topic was a breath of fresh air since slinger burst is not often talked about

First time I use a Piercing pod burst I immediatly understood his pontencial...this and the fact that broke the monster... Like what?
I understood too that small numbers isnt always small damage.
After the resurgence of MHW players its cool to find videos like these when redoing a playthrough with friends.

Yet another reason why SnS is my favorite weapon.
One thing to note about slinger burst in low rank / high rank, is that unless you already bought the DLC before beating the base game, you won't even be able to use it. However, it's probably an effective way to speed through low rank if you're replaying the game after Iceborne. Very informative video overall.
i feel like a lot of ppl buy the game with the DLC nowadays too, just because they're getting so cheap in sales
bomb pods are goated. stops bazel's b-52 attack if you time it right.
But my favorite ammo is personally brightmoss it does thunder damage during a burst but thats not important, it sucks up namielle water if thrown at it on the ground. And can get monsters out of the air by shooting it in the face.. you can use paolumu as a training dummy it works as a replacement for flash pods in master rank to an extent. the problem is some monsters move so quickly so it requires training and practice to get correct. you need to hit 2. and it works during enrage so you can just hit one and grab the face and burst it its fun.
flinching stuff midair with piercing is also fun.. hence that tobi clip yeah thats a consistent thing you can do. can happen to zinogre as well if you get some real good timing.
Slinger burst is pretty busted for SnS since you can combo that into perfect rush.
Im a DB main and Ive been using slinger burst ever since. Fun as hell to weave those in between and at the end of combos
Absolutely!
If timed correctly with the greatsword, you can almost always consistently hit the true charge with slinger burst if the monster flinched. Absolutely underrated.

i neglected the swns in world because i didn't know how to use it at its full potential. not too long ago i started experimenting with the burst shot and holy moly that thing does numbers
i love the spike ammunition since you can stuck like 6 spikes on their head. mostly a guaranteed first stun

Stone burst loses no range and stuns in like 8-10 shots , very fun to use on lance for free safe stuns

Early game weapons deal no damage... as you hit an undamaged and untenderised monster part. If you make your case in such a fashion that you have are right, then you will be right I guess. Kinda... dishonest way of making a point and it is not even true. You can absolutely get decent damage out of weapons in LR/HR, unless you are stuck with ranged Pierce weapons, because for some ungodly reason there is just 1 armour set on HR for that and a grand total of 0 on LR. Any other weapon type can do well lol...
compare the damage. that was the whole point i was making.
@@rimeandtreason i mean... comparing damage and stating verbatim that early game damage sucks is not the same at all, which is it then?
@@zwidowca1no affinity, no sharpness multiplier, almost no armor abilities, low weapon dmg (, almost no hunter notes on monsters so you gotta look up elem. weaknesses on the wiki if you want to optimize) and bouncy weapons means low rank (and high rank, to a lesser extent) damage sucks, just do the math lol
it's still fun to go through low and high rank, don't get me wrong, but it's in master rank where the game really unfolds in both damage and playstyle adaptability
