She seemed to be imitating Fanny Brice but I don't think this was her fault. The choreographer (if there was one) should have worked with her more closely. Anyway, the lines they had to say in this scene was a lot sillier than the dancing.
@@markyoung2652 yes, I saw her dance in a TV telecast of the original stage version of PICNIC. She indeed could dance but it still wasn't really sexy. Kim Novak in the film version wasn't much of a dancer or actress yet she made that scene ooze with sex.
She's my all time favorite actress. Always loved her. So gorgeous.
Janice Rule rules!
I remember Richard Crenna as the nasally Walter Denton on Our Miss Brooks. He was known as Dick Crenna.
Well there’s this new thing now, its called a bed.
The dancing is hardly awkward. Maybe it's because you're looking at it with 2012 eyes. What will today's dancing look like in forty years?

Btw, she's not wearing Pucci, she's wearing Moss Mabry. There's a big difference between looking like Pucci and being Pucci.
People make fun, but this is the most interesting scene in a very terrible movie. At least she's having fun. And that outfit rules.
😂😂
Get out the way dude, if you dont want it, yeah.

She actually was a dancer 💃 earlier in her career. There are a few pics on the internet showing her in action.
