10:00 to 10:30, WOW !!! i will never forget this 30 seconds of pure artistic depth. Miss Son's music is not about audience-pleasing performance with showmanship; it is about pure music in a different zone.
Only a short time ago I tried listening to a piece I love that was composed by Bach and played by a great pianist. I had to stop listening after a short time. Unfortunately for me and no blame to the great pianist who played the piece, I find it hard to listen to pianists other than Yeol Eum. She has established a new standard of excellence with her technique, the gracefullness, delicacy, sensitivity, thoughtfulness and total mastery of the piano. Whether she plays Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikowsky -- whoever, I'm confident that the composers themselves would love her playing. No doubt, it is somewhat different than what they would have played, but their own appreciation for artistry would love how she interprets their music.

While I like and appreciate Chopin's music, I never really became a huge fan. That is, until I heard this concerto. It has some so very beautiful passages. However, that is only part of the pleasure of watching and listening. Yeol Eum Son does such a wonderful, fantastic rendition, I cannot help but repeat play. Her appreciation of the piece is very apparent. Yeol Eum Son, you are a delight; I adore your expressions and the music you play so exquisitely. Thank you!

I know such decisions are very subjective, yet this one by Yeol Eum Son is the best one. To me, she gets Chopin as she gets Mozart and Beethoven. You Tube makes such comparisons possible. Isn't it obvious she can play with her eyes closed? ---- A really inspiring Chopin interpreter; many young aspiring people will do well to listen to how she shapes and phrases. Perfect!

Now try to close your eyes and play hammerklavier sonata or chopin etudes, lizst la Campanella or Rachmaninoff’s any concerto. Hell you will. Yeol is a great pianist but to many wrong notes. That’s why I think she did not get a gold. Be fair. Would you?

I don't consider her silver medal to be what she actually deserved. We are still at the very beginning of women being accepted as equals in human society. We have all sorts of evidence of prejudice and stupidity among some men who still think great artists must be men. Yeol Eum is certainly one of the great artists of the 21st century who will dispel the myth of male superiority. While I have no doubt that new, young great artists will emerge during this century, I sincerely believe that Yeol Eum will be one of the greatest of this century.
How lucky Korea is to have such a wonderful musician. A pianist with the most delicate touch on the keys.
Actually we have at least ten world top musicians. Conductors, violinists, pianists, etc. Most of them are young.🎶😍😊

It was written first but was published after his other piano concerto was written & published, which is why it's become known as Piano Concert No.2.
조금 기술적인 부분만 보완한다면 정말 세계적인 피아니스트로서의 손색이 없을듯 합니다. 아직 약간 불안한 부분도 있지만 지금 2015년은 더욱더 기술적으로 보완되어 자신의 음악세계와 감정이입을 더욱더 원할하게 청자들에게 전해줄수있을것 같네요
